Looks like MOM’s whole case is based on those “injuries” even though the detective said the injuries were minor. I can’t stand MOM. The witnesses don’t seem to catch when they contradict their previous testimony to go along with MOM.
I also have issues that Serino’s attorney, Jose Baez, said this was a case that would be easy to win. Wonder if that’s because of his client’s planned testimony.

I’ve just been able to start watching, so have missed all afternoon. What are the thoughts about Serino so far?

The way O’Mara’s voice rises up and down annoys me to no end. Seems his voice tends to rise when he thinks he’s got a “gotcha”.
Notice how selective his memory is, he remembers what he wants to remember. However, he made the mistake of trusting the police thinking that they were his friend and was going to let him go, which at first they did. Until the civil right leaders had to get involved.
Thank goodness, back on NBC, so much more clear, and good volume, and no over talking commentators.

Any female who knows a person is following/stalking another person is well aware of the possibility of sexual assult. Males don’t often come forward, especially the way our criminal justice system is, but they get raped too. I had a student who shot (& killed) a stranger in front of his family for his cell phone. Trayvon didn’t know what gz wanted to do to him, but he knew he was up to no good.

When I broke my nose on the steering wheel in a light car accident, I was ambulanced to hospital and, after a series of other tests to ensure I had no other injuries, I was operated on later that same day. It was many years ago so I don’t know the treatment now, but I had to wear a plaster cast for at least a week maybe two and my nose still ended up deviated, so a few years later I had it re-broken and re-fixed.
Usually they don’t do anything if there is swelling unless there are breathing difficulties or (as in it sounds like your case) obvious injuries because often no treatment other than ice is necessary.
Probably to the best because I had to undergo 2 corrective ops and I never got my nose back which was straight as a die before the accident!

remember singleton was only able to comment on what she knew at the time, what he told her. She hadn’t heard the nen call at the time of serino’s first interview and her interview.. i don’t think anyone asked her about those discrepencies, that’ll be serino’s questions probably.
O’Mara asked Singleton did she see any inconsistencies now… In hindsight. She was not forthright in her responses… not compared to her responses to him in the Serino interview.

Since I have never posted before, please know that I am not a troll. I am a Trayvon supporter and hope that justice is served against Frogginfooter.
I have a different reason for thinking the prosecution put Dr. Nakasone on the stand. I am putting this out to you because you all seem to have many resources and I am hoping one of you can find the info I am going to refer to; or correct me if I am wrong.
I think they put him on the stand because Don West mentioned something about expert testimony regarding the screams on the 911 call. I don’t want to punish myself by going back and listening to his 4 hour drivel so I am reaching out to you all to see if you remember that piece from his opening statement.
What was it that Don West said about what the screams will show?
I don’t remember what West might have said specifically about this. I heard here and there that the prosecution put Dr. Nakasone on the stand to get him to say that, in this case, while fancy computerized analysis would be useless, the best method to figure out who the screams belong to is to use a person who knew the screamer very well, and might have heard him scream before in a similar emotional state.
Just before jury selection, they had a Frye hearing, which was a hearing to decide whether the experts on voice identification could be allowed to testify. The point was to determine, are their methods accepted enough in the scientific community to be allowed in. Judge Nelson ruled out two experts who had used machine analysis. This Dr Nakasone was also a witness in that hearing. The defence was hoping to use him as their witness.
I think West was trying to introduce that barred evidence by asking Nakasone about it. Defence is insisting the screams were GZ.
The prosecution is putting EVERYONE on the stand, leaving the defence with no witnesses at all.
Now they are using the police to introduce all the VERSIONS that GZ told. So he won’t be able to take the stand and give a DIFFERENT one.

After listening to the commentators that are attorneys on HLN and CNN and watching the court hearing with my own ears, I am really beginning to understand why there are so many minorities in prison for a crime they didnāt commit. None of these attorneys really care about justice for black males.
I am also beginning to understand Professor Leatherman why they tried so hard to discredit and smear you. Itās because you refused to play their game and go along with their BS. Youāre bucking the status quo opinion that itās okay to kill an unarmed black male. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out all of the inconsistencies in Zimmermanās stories. Nor does it take a rocket scientist to see through the MOM, West, and TV lawyers BS and them trying to make excuses for Zimmerman or cheering for him to walk.
It is insulting in many ways to peopleās intelligence. I asked my granddaughter if she wanted to watch the trial with me. She told me no because it upsets her because Zimmerman is lying. She was able to poke holes in his story.

I suspect this testimony illustrates why Serino was bumped down and she wasn’t. Interesting how all these “didn’t think it was suspicious” when clearly in the later interrogation she, herself, caught fogen in a bunch of lies.

I think the FBI and Corey have already notified SPD that they will be exonerated. BUT they want to be careful not to create a record for the public that will make it obvious that the exoneration was a fake. So the police are walking a fine line and Baez is supporting the Department with his trash-talk.

One comment by Doris Singleton works well, very well, for the defense.
Singleton said the cuts on the back of head were still bleeding, and she provided kleenex from the box they have available in the interview room.
From this, the defense can cast doubt on the blood streaks and direcction of flow, as having occurred after Trayvon was killed, flowing down when fogen stood up, and flowing around ears, when fogen crouched for his photo op and phone call photos 3 minutes later. (rain and humidity in the air even if the rain stopped, would tend to keep the blood from drying fast, and minimally keep it shiny from added moisture)
That blood pattern may be fought over aggressively. We know already what ‘Kev’ will say for the defense, and that will be called into serious question at least.
But her giving him tissues happened AFTER the first photo taken by a bystander at the scene while Fogen has a cell phone to his ear.
he didn’t bleed on in the car on the ride in the police car…no blood trails when he got out of the car…so when did they start bleeding again?

This latest taped interview w/ Serrino shows that he got the “preferred” interrogation, the buddy interrogation. I kinda feel sorry for Serrino. The defense lawyers who are ‘legal analysts’ often are not objective nor balanced in their observations, they take one side and that’s what they are paid for, to make news, get ratings, say something opposite of the other station. When the wind or tide shifts, they sometimes shift with it, or take refuge on a ‘mid channel’ buoy until they jump in again.
I completely disagree. He’s as non-partisan as one could hope for…
i agree whonooze. his analysis just takes each courtroom action at a time and discusses benefit or problems for either side. he has been a prosecutor and defense attorney. what he is not doing is comparing court testimony with all known discovery because that is not what the jury is hearing.
he was very complimentary to the state for calling nakesone this morning, for example. it is simply a play by play analysis without attempting to lay out either sides strategy.
I don’t agree. I think he’s deliberately saying some things that are obvious so he can generate more and more interest in his own take on it. He’s trying to be SO different from others that people watch HIM more.
i think that both are true – his analysis strikes me as fair — but his job is to bring in viewers for advertisers, so he plays up certain aspects.

Wife prompted the NW formation by her husband, promted him to call NEN that August day of the burglary suspect being seen again (NOT, mind you, calling 911 on a repeated sighting of the person who fled an attempt of attack on woman and infant son story).
SZ did provide the gun to her husband but did she knowingly send him to use it, or knowing he might over react and use it, or did she know his mindset was to stop a ‘suspect’ from getting away when he went out of the house with her gun that night?
We don’t know until we know, I guess. Defense tried to keep SZ from being deposed, even tried to have her removed from their witness statement during court that day pre-trial.

Shellie called GZ at 6:48pm. It could be right at about the time TM entered the complex.
However, at his point there is no evidence that she tipped off. So, don’t get excited too early.
For her to know that TM was coming in the RATL, she had to be somewhere on his path. She would have called him right on time but they would have talked for 3minutes and then he would have left home only 15minutes later. It does not fit much with a tip off.
Finally, even assuming that she indeed warned GZ about TM, whatever she said is gone with the wind since it was a phone call.

Fogen calls Trayvon a “suspect” 17 times in his statement. At least as I recall, that’s what it is. It gave me goose bumps when I first read it.

Frequently cops (real as opposed to wanna-be) talk about the “subject” … so Fogen doesn’t even get that right.

Fogen was playing a duck toller, attracting his ‘suspect’s’ attention, and when Trayvon ‘fled’, he made up the story of the return for circling. Just like a duck tolling (duck attracting) retriever does for the hunter, activities on shore that raise the curiosity of ducks, bringing them in for the hunter’s guns.

WFTV, in the person of their reporters and Bill S’s commentary, are not FOR either side. Sheaffer does a good job of opining how the jury may be reading the testimony, and he looks at both sides of the equation ā how things said may work for the aid or detriment of BOTH the defense and prosecution. He doesn’t have a lot of factual background, so he’s taking things as they come, just as the jury is.
On the other hand, the people who Tweet to WFTV and post on their live-blog are overwhelmingly (though not exclusively) Zimmietards.
So I watch the WFTV feed for Bill’s commentary, which I take with a grain of salt, and I ignore the Tweeted comments on the scroll, and ignore the blog as well for the most part.
I comfortable with NBC… no tweets, no commentary… no hatred… just our blog… our sweet sweet blog… with loving people who are all for the same thing… just like one big family…. don’t have to see all the hatred… don’t have to hear the commentary weighing on who says this that and the other bout BDLR… only have to worry about our own supporters… *smiling*
So do you believe Shaeffer’s opinion that the state has made a critical error by introducing GZ’s words and story today by the state make it unnecessary for the defense to put GZ on the stand?
I just can’t see them making this type of error because the 3 prosecuting attorneys combined would have discussed the pros and cons of doing this. Surely they know exactly what they are doing or not? Whonoze?
Shaeffer is a TRIAL commentator. He hasn’t dug into the evidence already the way the BCCList group has. He doesn’t know (yet) how many inconsistencies and outright falsehoods can be demonstrated from GZ’s statements.
Since the clubhouse security videos prove BRD that GZ did not call NEN until he was on TTL (among other things) I sure hope BDLR is clued in on that.
I figure most of the TV lawyers know only the basics and GZ’s account (and don’t realize it’s actually accounts, plural). I don’t let what they say bother me, though many here do. I don’t blame them, since it’s frustrating to keep hearing about how the state is failing to make a case and GZ will likely be acquitted yadda yadda while knowing all that we do and they clearly don’t.
I have been teaching for more than 20 years. For the past several years I have taken a portion of time to urge my students to engage in self-directed learning to teach themselves proficiency in cursive writing. For some reason, many of them do not read or write cursive well. I tell them that this is a literacy issue and they must teach themselves. I then provide resource.
No one is ever going to force someone to write in cursive much (except when verifying identity on standardized tests), but the ability to read cursive equates with literacy.
I read old farm diaries from around 1840-1900. There is a skill to reading cursive, and the handwriting I read is difficult for many. The easiest way is read relatively rapidly, and then go back for any errors. I would not want to do that on the stand, however.
We all have problems reading certain people’s handwriting, whether cursive or block. This isn’t unusual.
I wonder what the talking heads will say when they play George’s other versions? He had as many as Jodi Arias.

If he does take the stand, I hope the judge asks him whether he’s on any prescriptions. One of the judge’s down here in Broward County makes it a point to do that before anyone in his courtroom testifies. First thing he wants to know is what medication they are on while testifying.
Slightly off topic, but you mentioned Broward County…Are you saying a judge there asks anyone who is testifying what drugs they are on in front of a jury? Or do they ask privately, and then decide whether the person on the stand is ok or too impaired to testify in open court?
Maybe the talking heads are quite mindful of the pending lawsuit against nbc. They don’t want to join the fun, so they just skew towards Z.
My understanding is that the state can use all of Zimmerman’s statements and pick them apart bit by bit with crime scene evidence, forensic analysis or witness statements. Wouldn’t he have to take the stand to counter the prosecution? I think Bernie’s way too smart and experienced to make a significant error by introducing what he shouldn’t have.

I have lost all respect for his judgments in a crime from this day forwards because I can see he has biases, and is not going by the evidence. He profiled this boy from start to finish; dehumanized him for no reason at all. Called the kid he killed a “suspect” even in death. No remorse whatsoever.
That is a big part of what makes it so painful. I’m the type who would run up into someone’s yard to avoid running over a squirrel. To me. people who are so cavalier about life are psychos….Or at least socios.

Ha, ha! No problem. I don’t know what the deal is with Bill Shaeffer. I guess he’s a defense attorney and sees it only from a defense attorney’s point of view. He did seem a little stung at some point last week when he told the audience that he wasn’t on anybody’s side but was just calling it the way he saw it. Apparently, comments have gotten through to him that he’s biased.
It’s a lot more complicated that a TV blowviator can explain. I’m not worried, but yes they did allow his statements in – his incomplete, contradictory and provably false statement.
He’s in the process of being proven a self serving liar with a false claim of self defense.
The idea is that this way GZ got an essentially complete version of his story in and everything said in the interview he doesn’t have to say on the stand. Because of that the defense might just rest their case.
I still think that the state is obviously aware of that and they have something to undermine that version so much that it won’t help GZ on balance.

if i remember correctly, we always figured that statement would come into evidence around here. how much the rest of his statements is debateable.
officers can also testify without admitting video and offer insight to defendant’s demeanor as you just witnessed. jurors tend to find their testimony very compelling.
Zimmerman’s statement is now in! Why did they take this route? Now he does not have to take the stand to get his statement of self defense in. I am so very confused right now.
His statement was always coming in. It’s part of the evidence and part of the case. Why are you surprised? Everyone knows his statements because they have been out in the public for over a year.
I thought the defense was going to force GZ to testify to even allow self-defense to get into evidence. Just an assumption on my part.
I think they are very confident that they can disproof his statements with forensic evidence. I think they made the right choice.
The defense fought hard to keep the statements from being revealed a year ago, saying they were “confessions.” What happened was that once the forensics were in and it was obvious that he was lying, his own dishonest statements were one of the three BIG pieces of prosecution evidence, which Galbreath described as:

It appears George had a busy day. There is the suggestion that GZ got a three minute call from shellie at just the time TM would have been entering the complex. Speculation is that she called him with the tip off, and this is why in the recreation he says “my wife…” and then cuts himself off when describing the scene by Taaffes.
Much more to go on that, as well as the idea the the phone call in the bloody head photo is GZ calling NEN back for one minute (possibly not connecting at all).
ALl texts so far seem to be not in the period of the “profiled, pursued and confronted” phase, so it doesnt seem like GZ communivcated with a confederate on the scene after hanging up with NEN.
Some question as to whether or not he was able to get messages while in custody.

I taught High School Spanish (for natives as well as Spanish as a foreign language).

I taught a total of 11 years, Cielo. I loved it, I liked the kids, but I got burned out with other issues and resigned.
I have been teaching for more than 20 years. For the past several years I have taken a portion of time to urge my students to engage in self-directed learning to teach themselves proficiency in cursive writing. For some reason, many of them do not read or write cursive well. I tell them that this is a literacy issue and they must teach themselves. I then provide resource.
No one is ever going to force someone to write in cursive much (except when verifying identity on standardized tests), but the ability to read cursive equates with literacy.
Diary- everything is on computers or tablets these days. Cursive writing is endangered and will become extinct in a few more generations. It’s evolution.

Yes Cielo, but literacy is forever, and many of the powers that be are old school who may write cursive. How embarrassing for a young intern who hopes to get hired to admit that he/she cannot read a team member’s cursive notes.

The incident used as an excuse took place 6 mon prior to the murder & the people had been caught & incarcerated already.
To me, it’s weird that he always started his story about 2/26/12 with a long background history. It shows that, in his mind, the event of 2/26/12 was part of a much larger “event” – i.e., everything that preceded it. And that made his “self-defense” claim immediately suspect.

My theory on this is that George viewed the police as his peers. Like with the cop shows, it is telling his peers what happened. That is why he is going with terminology like “the suspect”.

It is incredibly surprising how long his daddy allowed him to continue talking to the police without getting an attorney. Perhaps Georgie was having some adolescent rebellion against dad. The sad thing about this entire case is that it took the parents of Trayvon to plead for help in bringing the murderer to trial. Folks were already upset about the election and their hatred was on display everywhere.
This case has really divided this nation based on some of the things that people have said about Trayvon, his grieving parents and those that have helped get a proper investigation. Don West has also proven how ignorant and intolerable people can really be because of how/what they think about other races.

This may be just wishful thinking, but the state wants everything in for which they have clear refutation.
My thoughts on bias…
GZ’s family & friends… They have an obvious bias that the screams are GZ’s to avoid him being found guilty;
GZ… He has an absolute imperative that the screams are found to be his to avoid being found guilty and going to jail.
Tracey… He probably did have a bias the first time he heard the screams. The bias of being in denial, i.e. he did NOT want it to be Trayvon, his psyche rejected it could be Trayvon because hearing him scream like that would have been too painful. Note Tracey falls into sobs and tears much more than Sybrina (and before anyone jumps on me I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT saying Sybrina is less caring or loved Trayvon any less, just they have different ways of dealing with the pain). Tracey has consistently blamed himself for not being there when Trayvon needed him most, recognising the screams the day after was too much for him to bear.
Sybrina – I am not sure when she first heard the tape because the other day the defence said something about it being 3 weeks later. In any case she ran from the room crying whenever it was. Mother’s recognise their children’s voices that is a part of the survival system. Only a psychotic mother could have a bias for those screams to be those of her offspring about to die, as no normal human being would want those screams to be of their own child. Therefore, unless the defence is going to argue that Sybrina only “recognises” the voice because she is a gold digger hoping to get rich on civil suits, something I don’t think the jury of 5 mothers will accept so easily, IMO they could either go with Sybrina’s firm recognition or not take it into account at all.

this case is snot about who was screaming. It;s about who was the aggressor.
THERE WAS NO FIGHT, the defendant himself says so – according to his own words, there was a one sided beating wherein he did NOTHING at all with his hands except draw his weapon and shoot an unarmed kid in the heart. It’s a ludicrous lie, but he’s pointing out very stringly what is missing – what he did with his hands.
We also have testimony that Trayvon had a goal – we know he ran away – GZ says it and RJ corroborates it. Trayvon was in a physical altercation with a man he’d seen watching him intently (when he was doing nothing wrong, and was sheltering himself from the rain) and was then chased BY A MOVING CAR, and so he fled on foot to a dark alley, where the man then chased him on foot.
In the physical altercation that ensued, all parties agree that GZ did not identify himself. The closest eye witness was asked to help restrain the teen by GZ. The pair seemed to move in a fashion suggesting the teen wanted to “get off, get off” and the person on bottom was impeding this action, detaining the teen illegally.
The slight injuries to the back of GZ’s head can be best explained as those of a person who is clinging to the belly of a person who is attempting to crawl away, and got dragged across the sidewalk very briefly. The facial injuries seem to be from running into a tree in the dark. The nose injury is to the exterior of the nose for certain, and debatable about the interior of the nose. Yes, he may have been head-butted while he was illegally detaining the teen. Trayvon had every right to defend himself from an aggressor who chased him with his car and on foot.
Whomever was screaming, why were they yelling? If it was George, he’s admitted several way that he wanted the teen to be restrained. If it’s Trayvon… he was already being detained.
Someone closed a gap. Each and every move Trayvon made brought him closer to home. Every move GZ made, be lied about.

Who is more familiar with- and able to recognize GZās voice than GZ himself?

What I would listen for if a juror: The screaming has no breaks, like it would if you were being hit. Fogen cant say it was him screaming and that he was being hit, that’s a epic fail. Try to scream and slap your face, it would be a interruption in the scream stream. I hope that made sense, I couldn’t think of the right words to use.

The jury hasn’t read what Fogen said about the incident yet so they don’t know his claiming the death scream is impossible, BUT, we know this: Either he was having his head pounded and face punched and being smothered (and therefore couldn’t be screaming that long, drawn-out, terrified wail) OR he was drawing, aiming to avoid his left hand, and firing his gun (and therefore couldn’t be screaming and had no reason to scream).
It just doesn’t work either way. Period.
When we hear lawyers on TV saying things like the trial is going more favorably for the defense and it looks like Fogen will be acquitted, we have to keep in mind that it’s unlikely that have seen or analyzed the evidence like we have. Do they know about the bullet trajectory? The stretched fabric of the hoodie? DNA results? Phone and text records (let alone the potential content of the texts)? And so on.

Prosecutors are not crazy they are calling all the defense witness, so they don’t have the shock factor when they are called back by the defense. They had defused the statements that they were going to say for the defense in their questioning. Notice West said, well he is my witness can I just ask him now. And the judge said no, you can call him back as your witnesses. And when he does, it won’t’ be as effective in the ears of the jury because they heard him saying this in the beginning. When you think, you know something, you have the tendency not to want to listen to the same thing again. This to me is a good strategy on the prosecution side.
I think the State is trying to reduce the importance of the death shriek. It makes decision making easier for jurors. They have already introduced evidence that GZ was the aggressor. Thatās HUGE in a case where the defendant is claiming self-defense. GZās fate is almost sealed at this point. When physical, forensic and ballistic evidence come in, the case will be essentially over.
Especially when Zimmerman’s own blood is flowing in the direction of how his head was going to the direction that he was on top and not the bottom. Gravity doesn’t lie. Look at the picture the blood was draining to Zimmerman cheeks meaning his head was down as he was bleeding. This doesn’t happening when you claimed you were on your back.

I noticed last week they stopped Zimmerman sister from going in and out of the court room like she was doing, in the beginning. Because she was probably telling her mother and father and those that were not allowed in court what was going on, because now she is staying put. That’s good because I even notice how many times she was getting up, you didn’t see her, but when you look back there she was gone. Now they stopped that foolishness. This family is slick all of them. They were probably trying to get what they are going to say together. Glad the court noticed what she was doing.
Now that they’ve been ejected from courtroom , the parents could easily watch live or tapes from TV or livestream from their phones from location other than the courthouse. They don’t need the sister.

That type of listener is classified as ‘NON FAMILIAL listener.
Someone who has heard someone through their life, an many situations, crying, screaming, talking, all their life, is best familial listener and best to identify the speaker.

Ahhh, but there are more than screams on the tape, their are clear utterances like “I’m begging you”.
IMO, that is why trying to do this with a machine won’t work. It requires everything a human can encompass as far as context. Not just analyzing the sounds mathematically, but what is being said and why. The jury will have this to listen to over and over and they will hear it. They will also hear it stop after the gunshot. They will also hear GZ say he was being smothered.
The State is certainly going somewhere citing Nakasone to testify, and I am pretty sure it has something to do with Reich’s critical listening analysis but not exactly sure how they want to use it… I mean, could they try to introduce Reich’s word analysis again? All this discussion about blind group tests to eliminate listener bias, that sounds absolutely logical to me, but… bit of a mystery at the moment.

I.think this expert is saying the best expert on voice recognition, no matter the circumstance, is the individual. If Zimmerman didn’t recognize the voice on the tape it can only be because it wasnt his.

Certainly that GZ didn’t not only not recognise his voice but couldn’t even clarify utterances most people hear such as “I’m begging you” is highly suspect to say the least. And the idiot dug his own grave there because he never says he said anything other than “help” or “help me” and yes, there are several of those on the recording, I have isolated 5 “help” or “help me” you can hear clearly of exactly the same monotonous tone and pitch as per GZ’s exemplar, but below the tone and pitch of the screaming voice.
Even more interesting; it is not possible for a person to be screaming at full lung with a high pitched screeching voice to immediately after call out in a soft monotonous tone, “help me”. Not even a ventriloquist or opera singer, whose voices are trained, could effect that change of tone, pitch, volume, etc. in even a second or two. I isolated the whole recording into relevant small segments and found several instances where on the one hand you have a long heart-wrenching agonising deep down scream and milliseconds later you can hear GZ’s pathetic little voice merely calling, not screaming, calling “help”. That he could do both within these timings is imo physically impossible.

The jury will be faced with BOTH families stating “That’s my kid screaming!!!”
How do they choose?
Based on Nakasone’s expert direction, the jury gets to call THAT choice “a draw” and they get to put it aside and go on to the NEXT (and only remaining) voice factor as to “who is screaming?”
And that decision will be based on: “Would the screamer’s voice go silent at the point that the screamer is shot dead?”
Yes or no?
Or is it logical to think the shooter, claiming it was HIS voice, to immediately SHUT UP and go silent at the point of gunshot, when in fact, he has made a sworn statement saying “I didn’t know if I really shot him.”

By bringing in Nakasone, I believe the state is “funneling” the jurors’ brains into the only direction it can go, to reach this critical decision.

Sitting here thinking about jury deliberations. I think when they discuss Rachel what will stick out more than anything will be the fact that West jumped up and had to be told to sit down. West showed the fear this team has against Rachel.
There is so much that stood out with Rachel:
1. West being told to sit down.
2. West saying he couldn’t see.
3. West objecting and trying to intimidate her before he even cross-examined her.
4. His badgering on cross.

I was hoping that the defense would have put a Doctor on first thing this morning to talk about broken noses and other injuries to prove Fogen’s injuries were minor and prove the the PA on Friday can not look at pictures and say that dried blood is an abrasion or that lumps on a head is from an injury when they don’t know what the natural shape of the head is. Ridiculous that she would say any of that crap based on a photo.
She pretty much said that, however, she is plainly not a forensically-trained expert. She agreed to the possibility that the lumps were contusions (although they could also just be the normal geography of the head) and further that contusions result from external trauma.
She did finally get around to saying that drawing conclusions from photos was pretty iffy.

Professor, help me with this, and why they are not noticing this on this picture. If you look at Z head the way, the blood is flowing toward his cheeks lets you know that he was on top of T. If he was on the bottom the blood would be pooled in the middle of his head. And once he stood up gravity would have brought the blood down the back of his neck. His own blood is going to put him in jail. ”gravity” don’t lie. Why are they not focusing on this as well, as much as the defense has show his bloody head why?

He wanted to blow a huge hole in Trayvon chest, crush Trayvon’s chest, and cause him to die immediately before the police arrived. The police were literally 20-30 seconds away, but it was a risk GZ couldn’t afford. GZ had a thousand options as to how to handle the situation, and he chose every single step that moved him toward that one goal of blowing out Trayvon’s guts.

I’m seeing it on NBC, weird. Lots of background chatter, trying to listen in.
I think my computer must just have issues with the NBC site. I ran into the same problem a couple of times last week.
WFTV played a comment from Shaeffer from Friday – he said that the defense team has to be concerned that John Good said that it looked like GZ might have been able to escape, and that meant he didn’t have to use deadly force. He said the defendant’s going to have to take the stand.
B. Scaheffer is a dildo who has waffled on that question all week last week. I don’t listen to him anymore.
I think Shaeffer just keeps saying things he thinks nobody else has said first or is likely to say, so he can give the impression that he is ready to issue some new, exciting, exclusive. It’s just a technique.

WFTV is reporting a fire in Sanford this morning. I didn’t catch how many residents had been forced from their homes.
I thought I heard something very different.
19 firefighters lost lives in Phoenix fire.
Terribly sad.

That would be in a lightning-caused fire in the small town of Yarnell, 90 miles north of Phoenix. My youngest kids went to high school with one of the Prescott Hotshots. Very sad and has stunned the community. Only 21 firefighters have died previously in AZ since 1955, to put this into perspective.

Subject: Stand with Rachel Jeantel: And Put Bullies On Notice
The bullies came out in force last week as Rachel Jenteal, a 19 year old teenager from Miami , FL , gave testimony in the murder trial of George Zimmerman. The neighborhood watch captain stands accused in last year’s shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin. Born into a multicultural home where English is not her first language, Rachel spoke in the language of her community, recounting her cellphone conversation with Trayvon, not knowing that moments later, his life would tragically end. Why, then, has Rachel suffered such vicious, personal attacks?
That’s why I signed a petition to Roderick Vereen, Esq., Attorney Representing Rachel Jeantel.
