  1. MissLou says:

Please help me. In an interview before the trial, O’Mara made a statement that GZ intact approached TM. Can someone tell me which interview he said that. Thanks.

  2. betterhalf says:

    its hitchhikersguide to the uni
    verse time ….dont paNIC

  3. bettykath says:

Interesting. BDLR seems to have accepted that he has to confront self-defense and he’s going at it head on, presenting fogen’s statements. Destruction will follow.

  4. tharealkeisha says:

SMH GZ knew there was no video because he knocked it out of his hand.

  5. MrSykes says:

So why don’t you afford the Rachel the same benefit of the doubt for her supposed “inconsistencies” then Omara?

  6. MrSykes says:

Serino is NOT taking Omara’s strawmen tactics.

  7. breelee says:

MOM just slipping the boo-boo picture in again, made me wonder why there isn’t a picture of Trayvon out. I thought the victim was always represented with a nice big picture of them on an easel. Why isn’t there one, this is just sad for the jury and fogen, not to have one to look at.

    • ay2z says:

The bullet hole isn’t so drmatic and bloody.

      • jm says:

Looks like MOM’s whole case is based on those “injuries” even though the detective said the injuries were minor. I can’t stand MOM. The witnesses don’t seem to catch when they contradict their previous testimony to go along with MOM.

I also have issues that Serino’s attorney, Jose Baez, said this was a case that would be easy to win. Wonder if that’s because of his client’s planned testimony.

  8. ay2z says:

Did MOM have to put that photo away this time?

  9. ay2z says:

I’m surprised O’Mara hasn’t taken out a billboard with that photo he keeps parading at every opportunity in mega poster size power crop enhanced version.

  10. breelee says:

Yes O’Mara we get it, fogen was polite to the cops, geesh! New nickname for GZ, the polite child killer. PCK

  11. DruDo says:

I’ve just been able to start watching, so have missed all afternoon. What are the thoughts about Serino so far?

  12. DruDo says:

The way O’Mara’s voice rises up and down annoys me to no end. Seems his voice tends to rise when he thinks he’s got a “gotcha”.

  13. Dee says:

Notice how selective his memory is, he remembers what he wants to remember. However, he made the mistake of trusting the police thinking that they were his friend and was going to let him go, which at first they did. Until the civil right leaders had to get involved.

  14. ay2z says:

Thank goodness, back on NBC, so much more clear, and good volume, and no over talking commentators.

  15. bellesouth says:

Everybody knows that GZ hung up with NEN 3 minutes before Trayvon’s phone went dead, right?

  16. Rachael says:

    Thank God it isn’t West.

  17. Big Willie says:

FID (Foggen in Drag aka Gracie) looks creepy.

  18. Dee says:

Does all of this mean that he is not going to have to take the stand now?

  19. breelee says:

Writing before reading, hope I’m not copying. I saw a lady in pink in the back row on the states side, remove headphones after the screaming stopped…bless her heart. I wish Sabrina and Tracy had some noise blocking ones also. Gawd the pain in their eyes is killing me.

If this jury doesn’t get that the screams continue without a “smother” break, they’re crazy. Also, that if fogen wanted the dang address on the NEXT street, he could have driven to it. LIES, lies, lies, please God let this jury be smarter than the Anthony nuts.

  20. Ms.X says:

The Ancestors are truly buttressing Tray’s parents. I can’t imagine being in their situation, forced to her my son begging for his life & then shot, over & over & over. Its incredibly sad.

  21. Patricia says:

Hi everyone I’m in seminole co about five minutes from the court house . Trying to get a seat in the lottery for court this week. Actually back to watching tv version and just realized the AA gentleman sitting behind Sabrina I met earlier this afternoon . He said he had hope to see me in the court room. So lets hope I get called for a pass. Yes media is very biased but the folks I have been chatting with would like to see This ” creepy ass cracker” in jail
For following pursuing criminally profiling trayvon. Also I signed Rachaels petition . I have 30 years of family and in Sanford /Lake mary. I currently live in the Florida keys. I’ll try to keep you all informed of what’s what. Paddywagon

  22. tonya B says:

FUCKING PUNK….. JOHN GUY SAID IT BEST

  23. KittySP says:

All the ‘talking head’ saying how they way things were going in defenses favor GZ wouldn’t need to take the stand…defense is say that’s fine…you can listen to the investigators cross examine him.

  24. KittySP says:

Don’t you just love how the state is letting the investigators point out all his inconsistencies!

  25. Nellie Nell says:

So if Singleton knows by his description that Trayvon could have been creeped out by him, imagine how he felt especially after Rachel suggested that he could be a rapist.

    • Ms.X says:

Any female who knows a person is following/stalking another person is well aware of the possibility of sexual assult. Males don’t often come forward, especially the way our criminal justice system is, but they get raped too. I had a student who shot (& killed) a stranger in front of his family for his cell phone. Trayvon didn’t know what gz wanted to do to him, but he knew he was up to no good.

    • Big Willie says:

@ Nellie Nell – Girly you better shut-up! I caught Singleton’s “creepy” statement about Foggen and nearly fell off the chair! OMG, the poop is hitting the fan and shit can’t be turned into shinola!

The Justice for Trayvon Train is fastly approaching the station.

  26. Dee says:

This detective looks like his drunk on the stand.

  27. ay2z says:

DS: “You were afraid to tell him you were neighborhood watch?”

    GZ “Yes M’am”

  28. tharealkeisha says:

There are people who say his statements are consistent.

    • Big Willie says:

Those people must live on another planet. Nothing is consistent.

    • KittySP says:

Yes all of his statements are consistent (somewhat), with each other because they’re his made up version, not with NEN or the 911 call.

  29. ay2z says:

Of course, Trayvon was not at the T, that’s the truth, definitely. Neither was GZ.

  30. ay2z says:

Notice how GZ completely IGNORES the photo of his victim after Serino places it on the table, he’s still ignoring it. He doesn’t pause and look, just avoids and keeps talking about himself.

  31. ay2z says:

wow, did you catch that arm grab thing? with his left hand? vs the right arm pinch in the walk thru?

Oh my…. get to the firing ‘grab’ a fistful with left hand part….. which was it, grab Trayvon’s arm to keep it away from gun, becuase there was no need to worry about hitting left hand with a bullet if his hand was busy holding Trayvon’s arm away.

He gets in deeper and deeper…

  32. Mojo says:

Would’ve loved to have GZ’s face in Court when he talks about holding his wrist (having him in a wrist lock per Serino) and moving his right arm past his left arm that was holding TM’s wrist, to ensure not shooting his own arm, before firing. And he didn’t think he had a weapon? So, he had him in a wrist lock and he didn’t think he had a weapon. Then why did he fire?

  33. sparger says:

Has a terrible memory but remembered the Security companies name and contact information. Oh George.

  34. ay2z says:

“I went to find a street sign… I knew if I walked thru, that was MY street…”

  35. disappointed says:

why did he say 194? Doctor weighed him at 204. He even lies about his weight too?

  36. disappointed says:

high crime area yet they leave windows, door and garages wide open.??

  37. gbrbsb says:

Strange, GZ said “she [PA] said there was nothing they could do about it right now” in respect of fixing his nose.

When I broke my nose on the steering wheel in a light car accident, I was ambulanced to hospital and, after a series of other tests to ensure I had no other injuries, I was operated on later that same day. It was many years ago so I don’t know the treatment now, but I had to wear a plaster cast for at least a week maybe two and my nose still ended up deviated, so a few years later I had it re-broken and re-fixed.

    • Rachael says:

Usually they don’t do anything if there is swelling unless there are breathing difficulties or (as in it sounds like your case) obvious injuries because often no treatment other than ice is necessary.

      • gbrbsb says:

Probably to the best because I had to undergo 2 corrective ops and I never got my nose back which was straight as a die before the accident!

  38. disappointed says:

    What is talking about?

  39. GrannyStandingforTruth says:

I mean to say “rather save the reputation of the FPD” Smh!

  40. ay2z says:

I don’t understand one of the redactions in the last video, where GZ says about the struggle after jacket lifted up…. “He saw it” then [redacted part where he says ‘I think he saw it”]

Why did they leave in the part ‘He Saw it?” GZ didn’t know what was in Trayvon’s mind or what he could see, however, that may be a damaging TRUE statement that Trayvon SAW the gun before he died, maybe before a struggle,

  41. GrannyStandingforTruth says:

Smh@how these people would save the reputation of the FPD, which lets me know that they regard Trayvon’s life as they would a disposable diaper. Man, how do these people sleep at night or live with themselves. Jesus help us all today!

  42. ks says:

Folks, wtch was going to start happening once they get all of GZ’s BS on the record. Even based on what’s happened so far just in court, his lies are pretty apparent. Watch them tie it all together step by step.

  43. ZCBest says:

    New thread. Thanks Fred!

  44. disappointed says:

    RN student, killing me!

  45. dianetrotter says:

Is there a bandage on his nose too?

  46. Mojo says:

When did anyone ever tell him or confirm his nose was broken?

  47. fauxmccoy says:

knucke bandage on the schnozzola — nice ‘nursing’ shellie!

  48. dianetrotter says:

no stitches right away???? But come back in 5 years.

  49. disappointed says:

    Stitches, roflmao

  50. fauxmccoy says:

oh, completely lies about what his doc says … niiiiiice šŸ˜‰

  51. Sabrina B. says:

    Lied on the doctor.

  52. colin black says:

So casual Hes GONE yup we know hes GONE you MURDERED HIM.

  53. Mojo says:

It was dark and GZ couldn’t see then how come when he was still in his truck he could see Travyon, as he’s starting down the T, turn around and look back at him?

  54. fauxmccoy says:

don’t know why – but i loathe his ‘i was on the phone’ hand gesture

  55. YQ says:

Seems like when Bill Lee came back he rolled a few heads. None of what Singleton questioned or said is in the reenactment. I think she redacted her statements and got lawyered up. Baez alluded to this.

  56. lurker says:

Anyone notice exactly what was redacted?

  57. Sophia33 says:

He is hanging himself right here. This help me restrain this guy nonsense is a obvious and blatant lie.

    • Nellie Nell says:

He walked all the was to the T and left the kid to die where he laid. Didn’t even want anyone to call for help to save the kids life. He is cold blooded!

  58. Sabrina B. says:

His mouth is saying ‘My jacket moved up’ while his hands are saying he grabbed his gun.

  59. ada4750 says:

Hey we can actually hear the grass! Floridian grass is thick.

    • YQ says:

Of course you can.. still trying to figure out where Trayvon could have hid. AC units behind those hedges.

  60. Sophia33 says:

If you were trying to push someone away from you, wouldn’t you be pushing in a way that would make you move towards YOUR car? Why would you push someone away from you further from vehicle you are driving?

    • MedicineBear says:

Why would you move further into the “pitch black” instead of toward the truck in more light?

  61. whonoze says:

Did you all see Shellie, Osterman and Senior make their cameos?

  62. Mojo says:

GZ: “I told them, you know what, just have them meet me at my truck, it’s a silver Honda Ridgeline.”

Really? The last thing we heard you tell them was, “Can you have them call me when they get here?”

  63. You all have thoughtful comments says:

I always thought the ofc. who drove gz and that gz talked most to during the reenactment was Serino.

Serino is the guy in the sunglasses!

  64. FactsFirst says:

You didn’t say anything about a Honda Ridgeline in your NEN call, fogen..

  65. Sabrina B. says:

See Serino’s smirk? LOL Even then he was like this is BS.

  66. chi1224 says:

    Meet at clubhouse—- LIE

  67. MichelleO says:

You’re walking all the way down there just to get an address when you’ve already passed a house. And he’s ad libbing—just making shit up.

  68. Two sides to a story says:

    Lies, Fogen.

  69. groans says:

FYI – I refreshed NBC, and it’s working again.

  70. lurker says:

Impossible to watch the walk-thru compared to the NEN call and not see that he is making stuff up to his own advantage.

  71. MichelleO says:

This is what is going to hang him: he’s just so matter of fact about the whole thing. He never reports this person, who is walking along the street, as doing anything at all. He’s just harassing the person and proclaiming him a criminal based on nothing at all. He’s acting like he’s describing a movie he saw.

  72. ay2z says:

The Google map with red car pics, does NOT show Taaffe’s house, he parked at the dogleg corner (last corner) towards the clubhouse.

Drive thru he stopped at Taaffe’s place instead. The red car in diagram was only showing how he ddrove and what direction he was travelling, up to the signting location past Taaffe’s place..

D8fferent shortcut from the main road, not from Colonial as is at Taaffe’s place.

    • ay2z says:

(First red car diagram was showing his travelling direction, second red car diagram was supposed to be at Taaffe’s but it well past, next red car area was the clubhouse.)

  73. Sabrina B. says:

How could fogen see him look back at him if they are claiming it is that dark?

  74. Sophia33 says:

No you didn’t tell the operator that he was circling your car.

  75. disappointed says:

Why does he say car? He drove truck. What other plate did they run that night? Was it Shellie’s car? Where did she park at?

  76. Sophia33 says:

When did the dispatch tell him to get somewhere where he could see Trayvon? Liar!

  77. chi1224 says:

“Can you get to somewhere where you can see him”—- LIE

  78. willisnewton says:

if they make a point of stopping to examine the “my wife” freudinan slip, they they are goimg all the way with the clubhouse videos possibly. At least as far as RJ/W8 saying he was at the mail kiosk.

  79. Boyd says:

She knew Zimmemran followed for at least 1/4 mile and she had no worries about that. She’s all about protecting the kids. Fire her.

  80. YQ says:

went to get groceries with 16 dollars… yeah right.

  81. willisnewton says:

what the frick is this about? Not relevant. Maybe its just addresses? I thkn this is going to be about ADHD and meds. Mefdical stuff.

  82. Sophia33 says:

    “My wife is” what?

  83. disappointed says:

    Why did they redact it?

  84. Sophia33 says:

What did they redact from the interview? I guess we will find out in a minute.

  85. ChrisNY~Laurie says:

Can the State recall their witness later, before resting their case???

  86. Sabrina B. says:

    Redacted?!

  87. chi1224 says:

Hey guys keep this feed up to for when NBC goes out:

    http://www.wftv.com/s/zimmerman-livestream/

  88. Sabrina B. says:

I think NBC.com is battling hack attacks.

  89. jo says:

fuckity fuck my feed just died

  90. chi1224 says:

The notification to Tracy Martin…. so incredibly sad

  91. Serino believed the defendant’s injuries were “minor.”

  92. whonoze says:

    Minor injuries!

  93. chi1224 says:

    He considered injuries MINOR

  94. groans says:

Serino is sitting kind of slouchy and looks only mildly interested in the topic at hand – or, perhaps, not interested at all. Wonder if he always testifies like that. Doesn’t look like a friendly witness for the State, like is ordinarily the case in a criminal trial.

Here we go … No major concerns about nuttin’.

  95. disappointed says:

    Minor injuries.

  96. Boyd says:

The people in Sanford need to get rid of her.

  97. ada4750 says:

Serino is the ONLY one officer dressed in civil. Does it mean something?

  98. disappointed says:

Is that a photo of Trayvon with arms spread out?

  99. lurker says:

Zim made sure to include that Trayvon told him he was going to kill him.

Following the textbook rules for establishing self-defense.

  100. disappointed says:

Wonder if Fogen is writing oh shit I did not spread his arms out?

  101. Judy75201 says:

    OhgoodOhgoodOhgood the hands part.

  102. dianetrotter says:

He may have been reaching for the gun when he said he reached for the phone. Or if Travyvon saw the phone, he got scared.

    • Nef05 says:

I make the reasonable conclusion that Trayvon thought he was reaching for a gun, when fogen claims he was reaching for his phone. Many LEO’s have shot people dead for that exact action, and in every case I’ve ever heard about it’s deemed justifiable.

I believe that’s why BDLR said in the 2nd bond hearing that any action Trayvon “may” have taken was in self defense.

  103. chi1224 says:

    spread his hands— LIE

  104. willisnewton says:

He punched, you fell? YES> (no stumbling)

  105. colin black says:

I THINK IT WAS HOLLOW POINT.

  106. Two sides to a story says:

Is Serino staring at Fogen or just staring in space as he listens?

  107. willisnewton says:

Serino :You are familair w justifiable homicide?

  108. disappointed says:

    I think hollow points

  109. colin black says:

Get a note from class foggagge you only shot a child a no its a Hassle but skip a class for killing a skipping CHILD.

  110. willisnewton says:

You were gong to the store? GZ yes (LIE)

YOu saw someone suspicous? GZ yes (LIE)

YOu followed this person? yes TRUTH

    etc

    • BillT says:

why wont the state point out zman did NOT have any money or credit cards on him to PAY for any groceries?

      • aussie says:

Puhleese, everyone drop this idea. He had a WALLET with him, Singleton took his CCW permit out of it to check it. It was given back to him when he went home that first night. There is NO evidence to say it did not have money in it, or a credit car5d that hadn’t been cancelled yet. .

        • cielo62 says:

Aussie- early on the story was that the only money physically found on GZ was fifty cents in a plastic Baggie. Supposedly oyster man was going to lend him some money hence his stop at the ATM machine. There was $16.37 in the checking account at that time, and that wasn’t in Peter Pan code!

FROM THE CLUTTERED DESK OF Cielo62

  111. Two sides to a story says:

Fogen blinks hard when Serino says Trayvon jumped him. He lied, wants to shut out the lie.

  112. Boyd says:

Singleton needs to get fired , and never be a cop again.

Protect and to Serve? well she’s so uncaring about a kid getting killed for walking. I don’t need cops like that around my kids, and I’m paying her? F that.

  113. jo says:

remember singleton was only able to comment on what she knew at the time, what he told her. She hadn’t heard the nen call at the time of serino’s first interview and her interview.. i don’t think anyone asked her about those discrepencies, that’ll be serino’s questions probably.

    • diary73 says:

O’Mara asked Singleton did she see any inconsistencies now… In hindsight. She was not forthright in her responses… not compared to her responses to him in the Serino interview.

  114. BillT says:

i hope i am wrong but to me it appears the prosecution would rther set this murderer free then tell the TRUTH about the sanford police…….singleton LIED under oath about not finding any inconsistencies, she clearly expressed them during the interview!

  115. Mary Davis says:

I cannot believe these people in Florida. Looks like they are living on a different planet. People should be afraid to even visit Florida.

  116. Two sides to a story says:

What happened to the defense’s bha-lack interns?

  117. gwynne says:

z sure likes to remind everyone what a team player he is, he always calls non emergency and points it out. Never mind he’s not bothered that he shot someone. ugh.

  118. Donna says:

Hi. I have been reading this post since last April but have never posted before. I love reading through this site. You all have excellent observations.

Since I have never posted before, please know that I am not a troll. I am a Trayvon supporter and hope that justice is served against Frogginfooter.

I have a different reason for thinking the prosecution put Dr. Nakasone on the stand. I am putting this out to you because you all seem to have many resources and I am hoping one of you can find the info I am going to refer to; or correct me if I am wrong.

I think they put him on the stand because Don West mentioned something about expert testimony regarding the screams on the 911 call. I don’t want to punish myself by going back and listening to his 4 hour drivel so I am reaching out to you all to see if you remember that piece from his opening statement.

What was it that Don West said about what the screams will show?

    • RobertSF says:

I don’t remember what West might have said specifically about this. I heard here and there that the prosecution put Dr. Nakasone on the stand to get him to say that, in this case, while fancy computerized analysis would be useless, the best method to figure out who the screams belong to is to use a person who knew the screamer very well, and might have heard him scream before in a similar emotional state.

    • aussie says:

Just before jury selection, they had a Frye hearing, which was a hearing to decide whether the experts on voice identification could be allowed to testify. The point was to determine, are their methods accepted enough in the scientific community to be allowed in. Judge Nelson ruled out two experts who had used machine analysis. This Dr Nakasone was also a witness in that hearing. The defence was hoping to use him as their witness.

I think West was trying to introduce that barred evidence by asking Nakasone about it. Defence is insisting the screams were GZ.

The prosecution is putting EVERYONE on the stand, leaving the defence with no witnesses at all.

Now they are using the police to introduce all the VERSIONS that GZ told. So he won’t be able to take the stand and give a DIFFERENT one.

  119. colin black says:

Serrinos gonna nail him you watch!

  120. lurker says:

Do your job, Georgie–stand up everytime someone needs to recognize you. Good job. Veeeeery cooperative.

  121. GrannyStandingforTruth says:

After listening to the commentators that are attorneys on HLN and CNN and watching the court hearing with my own ears, I am really beginning to understand why there are so many minorities in prison for a crime they didnā€™t commit. None of these attorneys really care about justice for black males.

I am also beginning to understand Professor Leatherman why they tried so hard to discredit and smear you. Itā€™s because you refused to play their game and go along with their BS. Youā€™re bucking the status quo opinion that itā€™s okay to kill an unarmed black male. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out all of the inconsistencies in Zimmermanā€™s stories. Nor does it take a rocket scientist to see through the MOM, West, and TV lawyers BS and them trying to make excuses for Zimmerman or cheering for him to walk.

It is insulting in many ways to peopleā€™s intelligence. I asked my granddaughter if she wanted to watch the trial with me. She told me no because it upsets her because Zimmerman is lying. She was able to poke holes in his story.

  122. ada4750 says:

Isn’t he looking like a broken mam?

  123. colin black says:

image they didn’t knock on B Greens DOOOR?
Chad would’ve had traumatises even quiker

  124. willisnewton says:

Okay here we go. This guy fascinates me and we are abotu to have a lot of questions answered.

    • groans says:

I fear Serino might be similar to Singleton. Especially since his lawyer, Baez, keeps telling the world that the State can’t possibly prove its case.

  125. colin black says:

Baez must be in the building prolly court room

  126. diary73 says:

Why didn’t BDLR ask her about the discrepancy between GZ’s saying he went to get an address and the way GZ got out of the car saying, “Oh sh*t, he’s running!”

  127. FactsFirst says:

SMDH thinking… It must be frustrating for O’Mara, everytime he think he’s hooked a fish, that darn Bernie throw it right back in the ocean with the sharks…

    SERINO IS IN THE BOX!

  128. chi1224 says:

Didn’t he request charges be filed?

  129. colin black says:

back in detective mode yeeeee haaaaaa

  130. Sabrina B. says:

Serino! Yes! He won’t be as washy.

  131. YQ says:

We have to remember that certain questions can’t be asked of her because she isn’t the lead investigator. Her speculation doesn’t really matter although O’Mara plays into it. Serino is next and NOW finally we will get to the reenactment video.

    • jm says:

Just wonder if he is going to be bad for the prosecution. He has to be in an awkward position to cover for GZ following Singleton’s tone or tell the truth.

  132. Nef05 says:

I suspect this testimony illustrates why Serino was bumped down and she wasn’t. Interesting how all these “didn’t think it was suspicious” when clearly in the later interrogation she, herself, caught fogen in a bunch of lies.

    Serino is not in uniform.

  133. Leelee says:

I never expected this hostility from her, I am about to pass out.

  134. colin black says:

w t f is Serrino going to be like?

  135. Sabrina B. says:

Why didn’t Bernie point out that the witness fogen is talking about never saw him on top of the kid and he never asked him to ‘help me with this guy’?

  136. Two sides to a story says:

    Serino should be REALLY interesting.

  137. Unabogie says:

Wow, remind me never to get murdered in Sanford, Florida. That’s a place where police don’t find anything troubling.

  138. gwynne says:

Here we go. Serino is up

  139. disappointed says:

    Chris Serino

  140. Puck says:

    SERINO!!!

  141. Tzar says:

    O’Mara’s questions are insulting
who the fuck shows ill will during in interrogation where they are claiming self-defense

  142. Two sides to a story says:

Doris, Doris, what a surprise. But no lies.

  143. ada4750 says:

Obviously, Singleton cares more about her reputation and career than justice.

  144. jo says:

no animosity towards the person who you say tried to kill you….bullshit….no animosity because he never attacked you and you were the aggressor

  145. V says:

I thought the state and the police where on the same side?

  146. colin black says:

    Calling him Zimmerman I like

Saying she believed foggagges dieing swan He s DEAD Remark=B S

    • V says:

Caught that too. She also referred to trayvon as the kid, rather than suspect like she claims to do.

  147. willisnewton says:

GO BERNIE. take your time and clean up all the mess.

  148. Boyd says:

They need to fire her butt.

  149. lurker says:

I wonder what kinds of fears are running around SPD at this point with regard to the FBI investigation of the handling of this case.

    • Malisha says:

I think the FBI and Corey have already notified SPD that they will be exonerated. BUT they want to be careful not to create a record for the public that will make it obvious that the exoneration was a fake. So the police are walking a fine line and Baez is supporting the Department with his trash-talk.

    • cielo62 says:

lurker~ a SPD cop said “we’re fucked up the ass on this one.” So, yes, I’d expect fears are running high. Sacrificial heads are gonna roll and anybody could be cut.

      ________________________________

  150. Tzar says:

    Wow
he had to squeeze that out of her

    • Malisha says:

Protecting whoever it was (I can guess) who told all the SPD folks to NOT CHARGE HIM WITH A CRIME.

  151. colin black says:

is she bbeing hostile or am I insane?

    • Malisha says:

      Scared for the Dept.
“Couldn’t read the statement” — then she would have had to ask him what it said.
“He had blood” — then she had to take him to the hospital. Or maybe put on some knuckle bandaids.

Do not worry. Her information got in. She doesn’t have to be on BDLR’s side; she has to validate the information that he got in so the big three points can come out:

“HIS statements, the shell casing, and Mr. Martin’s body.”

  152. colin black says:

SHE acting like she know less about this case than us?

  153. Woow! says:

All of the SPD officers are covering for the department.

  154. chi1224 says:

    Sit down Ocrypto!!

  155. disappointed says:

    Yet he walked away. HAHA

  156. Tzar says:

    She’s combative to Bernie

  157. colin black says:

BERNIE BO BOOOED THOUGHT HE WAS ALIVE WTF
    bERNIES TOUNGE TIED WTF????????????/

  158. willisnewton says:

fascinating. Her personal bias is showing. But she isn’t lying.

    • chi1224 says:

I don’t think she is biased towards Fogen. She offered the info that Trayvon was too tall to hide behind the bushes.

    • groans says:

She appears biased now. I didn’t have that impression before.

I fear the same for Serino. Maybe they’re protecting the SPD, as opposed to the defendant.

  159. dianetrotter says:

He came out of the dark. Is he saying because he was black, you couldn’t see him in the dark.

  160. Woow! says:

Officer Singleton looks as if she could be Danny Trejo’s sister.

  161. Sabrina B. says:

Go Singleton! This kid is pretty tall, which bushes?

  162. chi1224 says:

This kid is tall, no bushes to hide!!!

  163. Boyd says:

what’s this cop doing? She’s supporting Zimmerman.

  164. diary73 says:

How could BDLR rest???? There is so much more he needs to ask her. Why introduce these statements if he is not going to fully explore them?

    • disappointed says:

I think he gets what he needs and once he sees where MOM is going he cleans it up.

    • groans says:

BDLR probably knew ahead of time that she wouldn’t go out of her way to help him. (As she demonstrated.)

  165. chi1224 says:

Her opinion at the time of the interview doesn’t matter. What matters is how Zimmerman’s claims turned out to be lies as proved the the actual evidence in this case. No worries folks. She is being objective and honest. Her job was to get a statement– that is what she did.

    • Malisha says:

She’s not supposed to testify to her opinion.
She’s a fact witness as are all the police.
      This is going along fine.
Her seeing or even wiping blood doesn’t make the injuries worse and the injuries don’t change the nature of the act. If you can get injuries fishing for lobster, you can get injuries committing murder.

  166. disappointed says:

Pitch black but Trayvon could see a black gun?

  167. disappointed says:

Nothing out of the ordinary? WTF is she smokin?

  168. lurker says:

I cannot quite figure her out. When she was interviewing with Serino she seemed to have a much higher level of concern about Z’s statements than she admits to at this time.

  169. V says:

    This is one evil cop

  170. Tzar says:

    wow
    c’mon Bernie
    anytime now

  171. colin black says:

He pumped a hollow point centre into his chest an then sat an squashed his last breath outa him.

Walked away an never glansed back an as he sat in the back of the patrol car he watched a yellow blanket thrown on a dead body after witnessing frantic attempts to revive the CHILD

HE KNEW HE WAS DEAD AS SOON AS HE UTTERED OR THOUGHT YOUR OING TO DIE TONIGHT MOFO AN PULLED THE TRIGGER DEAD CENTR OF HIS HEART TURNING A VITAL BEATING HEART INTO A QTR POUND OF MINCEMEAT

    He is dead DOH!

    LIEING SACK OF SHIT

    HE ID DEAD?

I WASNT CHASEING HIM I WENT FOR A LEISURELY WALK ADRESS HUNTING BECAUSE ID FORGOTTEN THE NAME OF MINE OWN STREET SO I SLOWLY WALKED THROGH TO GET AN ADTESS

stood about aimlessly basking in the light

An then walked leisurely back to my tuchk

An then six foot three his beady eyes on me
    Hid behind a BANZI tree
    Trayvon MARTIN he attacked me.

You got a fucking problem homie.

I said well you do now your never going homie again

From now on all your PARENTS will feel is PAIN

    Because Im fucking INSANE.

No ONES LIFE WILL EVER BE THE SAME.

  172. Tzar says:

oh shit she is supporting Zimmerman

    • disappointed says:

      ITA! Wow.

    • Two sides to a story says:

      Seems like it so far.

    • tashatexas77048 says:

Of course. You didn’t pick up on that when she made up injuries he didn’t have?

    • Leelee says:

omg what is going on with her…I am freaked out

    • colin black says:

No shes not she s saying at the time she believed him.
She was only hearing the world according to foggagge.
As soon as She saw scene heard walk through hher later statements she knows he is LIEING
AT the time she believed he didn’t realise he was dead
Later like us she learned DIFFERENT

Remember hitch hiker guid to universE
      DONT P[ANIC.

      • fauxmccoy says:

also — important to remember for folks such as first responders, medical personnel etc., something would be have to be HUGE and glaring to raise a feeling of things being unusual. these folks have truly seen everything. a mere first statement from the defendant would likely not rise to that level for singleton.

she definitely displayed a sense of weirdness about the SPD investigation being taken over by outside investigators, which would not be unusual.

      • cielo62 says:

colin~ and always carry a towel.

Hidden in plain sight — yet another reason his going over to that street (for either a house number OR a street sign) was a lie.

  176. Sabrina B. says:

    Not significant in Serino interview?!

  177. gwynne says:

Sometimes it’s a traumatic event, sometimes it’s LYING. They both can impact differences in statements. I hope Bernie is able to bring this together when it’s his turn.

  178. Sabrina B. says:

His affect was an act. He showed not one iota of emotion up until then. By the time he was with Singleton he was on stage.

    • tashatexas77048 says:

OMara can get her to say whatever he wants because Omara did not close the door to his indifference when he had her on the stand. When is the last time she encountered an adult that had killed a minor? How did they react? Did she know that when Zimmerman had said he didn’t know Martin was dead did she know he had failed to render aid at the scene and didn’t even look back at him once he gotten up? If she knew that would his suprised reaction shock her? I mean come on BDLR. This is a phuckn joke.

  179. whonoze says:

GZ wasn’t angry at TM because GZ is a fucking cold-blooded sociopath!

    • jo says:

and because trayvon never beat him and he wasn’t in any way scared or threatened by Trayvon so that’s why there was no hate towards him….if trayvon beat his arse he would have been angry

  180. Girlp says:

My sister uses a website on Google Chrome to watch the trial I will find out what it is when I get home. It seems pretty good feed to me.

  181. disappointed says:

MOM does not get it either. Your client did not try to assist Trayvon.

  182. whonoze says:

Oops. The EMTs said he was fine!

  183. ada4750 says:

Why is she looking the jury so often? She sounds empathic to Zimmerman.

  184. HereslookingatYou says:

but isn’t bill unbiased? just so far and balanced.. no?

  185. tashatexas77048 says:

He didn’t even have blood on his face v when she saw him so how the phuck is she talking about blood on the mouth? And couldn’t BDLR have run out the clock on her or at least ask her why she v asked certain follow up questions? Couldn’t he ask her if her impression of self defense was ba sed only on the info he’d given her? Why not ask about him being knocked backwards? Why not drive home the point that originally he said he lost sight of Tray near the mailboxes, ie that’s where Tray started running?

  186. Woow! says:

I am popping in and out (a lot of work today). Is it me or does it seem as if MOM is docile today? More respectful toward JN. I wonder if that mess with W and his daughter then that FB page has gotten them in trouble (they way they’ve acted since the beginning of the trial).

  187. whonoze says:

Aha. No one could have told GZ what John said… unless Tim Smith is LYING, of course…

  188. colin black says:

  189. dianetrotter says:

I can’t freaking watch wftv without hearing that idiot Bill S. “SCreAM!!!!”

  192. type1juve says:

O’Mara’s crooked ass is up there trying to testify for Fogen.

  193. Sabrina B. says:

He is trying to get the changed part of the witnesses testimony in there.

  194. lurker says:

At the bench. In fact, Jon Goode specifically stated that he neither saw nor heard Trayvon (or the person on top) slamming a head on the sidewalk. O’Mara is trying to get Singleton to co-sign to a falsehood.

  195. ay2z says:

MOM personalizes Trayvon now by using his name, as he attacks Trayvon’s character.

  196. disappointed says:

What witness said Trayvon smashed his head into the concrete.

  197. chi1224 says:

wtf no witness testified they saw head bashing, this is bullshit!

  198. fauxmccoy says:

oh use trayvon’s name so we do not call him ‘the victim’ …

    buzz off o’mara

  199. lurker says:

She can refer to Trayvon as “the victim” without any loss of clarity.

  200. chi1224 says:

The jury is going to realize that Zimmerman’s lies started moments after the murder. Ocrypto can’t do anything to rehabilitate the lies no matter what! They are obvious!

  201. gwynne says:

mom is sure dripping with sarcasm. how is this impressive to the jury???

  202. chi1224 says:

He knew there were witnesses that heard the screams!

  203. lurker says:

I think that O’Mara is trying to salvage this by making him look cooperative.

    • type1juve says:

He cooperated because he didn’t expect to be charged. Not to mention he thinks he’s the smartest one in the room.

  204. Tzar says:

George Zimmerman volunteered is internally inconsistent stories ergo he is innocent
is that how this is going to go?

  205. tashatexas77048 says:

I’m going to stop listening after today. I kept giving BDLR the benefi of the doubt and now all I have is doubt. You let her get away with saying he was bleeding from the ear and mouth? gtfoh

    • ay2z says:

That ear comment was missed by Bernie. He was not bleeding ‘from’ the ear, big difference if blood comes from inside ear or from a tiny vascular cut on the skull.

      • tashatexas77048 says:

He’s always missing shyt and its annoying the hell out of me. Further, his face was cleaned up by the time he arrived at the station so how tf did she see blood by his mouth?

  209. disappointed says:

Haha most will speak to you!

  210. bettykath says:

There’s no doubt that fogen killed Trayvon. The only questions to be determined are depraved indifference and not self-defense. Bernie’s laying out depraved indifference now.

  211. Tzar says:

    Oh lord
    what is O’Mara babbling about
she already told us how long she has worked in LE
we don’t care why she became a cop

    • chi1224 says:

trying to show Fogen wanting to be a cop was a good thing… it’s not working, imo, but I think that’s what he is trying to do.

  212. jo says:

did he say it was always wrong to kill somebody before he said “he’s dead?”

HOW DUMB DO YOU THINL PEOPLE ARE???FFS????????????????????

    • Trained Observer says:

Right, Colin — He thought his “suspect” was just lying flat out on the ground playing possum.

      • Malisha says:

If he DID think it possible that the “suspect” was not dead then he would have stood back and kept the gun (in two hands, and aimed) on him and shouted: “DO NOT MOVE OR I WILL SHOOT!” Clearly, a live “suspect” could roll over and shoot you dead even if you’re a “good guy” — in almost every bad guy movie, the guy’s down and then pulls a weapon from somewhere and tries again. It’s so common it’s to be expected.

  215. jo says:

“he’s dead?”…..um didn’t you put the hollow points in your gun….of course he’s fucking dead.

  216. He aimed and shot the kid in the heart and he didn’t know he was dead?

  217. disappointed says:

He said he did not know he was dead, yet he did nothing to aid him. Interesting.

  218. chi1224 says:

I had no trouble reading them. But then again I read doctors’ and lawyers’ handwriting — HA HA HA!!

  222. Puck says:

Would Serino have to be on the stand in order to show the walk-through, since he was the one interviewing? (I believe Singleton was there, but only taking the video and not interacting with them.)

    • whonoze says:

Serino or Randy Smith. Doris was not there.

      • Puck says:

OK. Serino might be up next in order to introduce the other interviews and walk-through.

      • Mojo says:

Serino, R Smith, and Singleton were all at the reenactment. Early on Singleton gets out of Serino’s car and gets into Smith’s car. Her voice is heard and she’s seen several times in the reenactment

  223. colin black says:

Sign on the tape like a good boy

  224. Nellie Nell says:

This is the nose rubbing video….. I hope Bernie stops the video there!!!!

  225. Tony Pipitone :

  227. dianetrotter says:

    Kathi Belich, WFTV @KBelichWFTV
I’ve been told by law enforcement in the past that someone can move, even run, for another 90 seconds after the heart stops.

  228. Dee says:

Oh yes this means they are going to let the tape in when Zimmerman said he ”aimed” and shot him. I thought this may not be used.

  229. disappointed says:

ask her about bumps on his head. Is that the bumps that have always been there?

  230. Deborah Moore says:

I’m just going to stay here and not watch the feed for a while. I can’t stomach looking at him.

  231. Tzar says:

Danit Singleton there was no blood coming OUT of his ears
the blood was BY his ears
    Bernie please “correct” her

  232. Stormwatch says:

The fact that the SPD and Wolfinger conspired to cut Zimmerman loose that night may have been a blessing in disguise. If Zimmerman does get arrested that night, he probably gets a lawyer pretty fast, and he makes no statements to investigators or Sean Hannity. In their rush to help him, they may have ultimately screwed him.

  233. Dee says:

Looks like Zimmerman cheeks are going down some, he must be losing some weight. He better because he’s going to have to stay away from them cats in prison.

  234. You all have thoughtful comments says:

Think about it gz: 25 years

  235. ay2z says:

Has fogen got make up on today to cover his naturally dark under eyes?

They are less dark than in the past court days.

  236. KittySP says:

GZ claims that Trayvon looked in his car while at the clubhouse…”now he’s just staring at me”. Question to the resident video examiners…does video surveillance show him parked at CH?

  237. smokeegyrl says:

as I hit this resume button… I’m outta here… cuz I am not going to hear MOM redirect… I will listen to it later… I gotta take care of bidness…

    • KittySP says:

@smokey- I’m to the pint now that I mute the sound when MOM crosses…just get a sinking feeling in pit of my stomach!

  238. PYorck says:

I have a question about procedure.

Let’s say hypotethically that the state had not introduced any of GZ’s statements in order to force him onto the stand. Let’s also assume that the defense then decides that GZ is still better off if he doesn’t take the stand and relies on his injuries plus the bare-bones self defense claim via Jon.

Could the defense have avoided the jury ever hearing about GZ’s inconsistencies that way?

    re: Sean Hannity interview

I think they redacted the ā€œits Godā€™s planā€, “is there anything you regret/could have done differently?” “No, Sir!” from the Hannity interview. They may also have edited Oā€™Mara out of the tape.

This is a wild guess. Soon we will know which goodies Bernie has given to Oā€™Mara.

  243. Abraham Jones says:

Maybe it’s just me; but, “I’m reading blogs from various websites from legal analysts and zimmerman supporters and they seem to feel that there is no way that Zimmerman will be found quilty due to the “so-called” lack of evidence thus far by the state. What? Did I miss something? It seems to me that the state is doing exactly what it set out to do. Discredit Zimmerman and force him to get on the stand.

  244. colin black says:

ois this longest 15 min in history???

  245. Dee says:

Zimmerman said it felt like he was hitting him with bricks, Maybe Tryvon must have pulled up the side walk with his bare hands right. Since they said that Trayvon used the sidewalk. If people can’t see through these lies they just don’t want to believe the truth.

  246. smokeegyrl says:

Where are some people reading Fogen’s phone records at?

  248. YQ says:

Mark Nejame… “GZ’s reenactment aligns well with his police statement.”

    That’s a crock of shit!!!

He stated that he fell backwards and to the ground immediately after being punched. In the reenactment, he’s clearly swatting flies and moving forward after being punched.

And the part about the jacket coming… LOL.. just ridiculous!!

    • whonoze says:

But Nejame failed to add, “and neither of them make any goddamn sense.”

Remember, Nejame and MOM are buddies, and it was Nejame who referred the Zim family to O’Mara.

    • ay2z says:

What has NeJame been drinking?? Circling, Mr. NeJame? Circling? Maybe NeJame goes by a timing device from another planet because here on earth, there is no way for that extra ground coverage to have happened within the time frame,

Of course, if NeJame is talking about the ‘walk thru’ done by defendant and calling it a ‘re-enactment’, then sure, totally agree! So does the state as per John Guy in their opening, where they show that the ‘walk thru’ was when the alterations of the story began.

Apples and oranges, no discussion of the ‘re-enactment’ yet in court, Mr. NeJame, don’t confuse the viewers!

      • Malisha says:

Saying the re-enactment matches his statements to the police is vaguely true. BOTH will be absolutely disproven by the forensic evidence coming on with the medical examiner and the ballistics expert etc.

    • MrSykes says:

LOL! can’t let those pesky mosquitoes get in the way of a good fight.

Dr. Hirotaka Nakasone takes witness stand
Expert witness ā€” Speech Recognition Technology (FBI)
    ā€œapprox. 30-40 published papersā€
    Forensic Speech Recognition Expert

    July 1, 2013 at 9:16 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:
“Dr. Nakasone is going to explain why it isnā€™t possible to identify the person who screamed using a machine.
The State is putting him on so that the jury will not speculate about why no expert was presented.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:27 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:
“Human brain is better suited to identify a far field voice than a computer.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:34 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:
“After removing the stepped-on portion of the background scream, only about 3 seconds is left to analyze.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:49 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:
“Unfamiliar voice recognition requires computer assistance to perform.Familiar voice recognition does not.
Familiar voice recognition is the best method to use with this particular sample.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:49 am
    Ty Flair says:
“I understand now why the State have him, remember John said that the one on the bottom scream for help this expert said if John never heard fogen voice before it

would be hard for him to tell who was saying help.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:51 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:
“The State called him because the defense was going to call him and the State wanted to control how his testimony is presented to the jury.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:58 am
    Malamiyya says:
“Absolutely brilliant! By making the defenseā€™s case part of the stateā€™s case, they neutralize Nakasone as a witness, they get to cross-examine what he says to the

defense, they pre-empt his effectiveness as a defense witness and they leave GZ isolated as the sole author of his own story. He has to testify. How can he testify?”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:54 am
    Sophia33 says:
“But remember initially GZ said it wasnā€™t him when Serino played the tape. When Serino asked if it was him, GZ said no. When Serino pressed him again, he said, ‘That

    doesnt even sound like me’.
That should trump GZā€™s lying as family members.”

    July 1, 2013 at 9:52 am
    Tzar says:
“Someone familiar with the voice is the best identifier possible according to Nakasone
so why does George say it does not sound like him?
who is more familiar to george than george?”

    July 1, 2013 at 10:03 am
    uhoh says:
“Will West ask Dr Nakasone if he understands English?”

    July 1, 2013 at 10:05 am
    elcymoo says:
“Maybe he can ask him to describe what ā€˜wet grassā€™ sounds like.”

    July 1, 2013 at 10:12 am
    Rachael says:
“Thank you Mr. West. Now you have lost the families based on listener bias and all you have left is GZ and he said it wasnā€™t him ā€“ EVEN after he was told it was!!!”

    July 1, 2013 at 10:17 am
    RobertSF says:
“Apparently West is upset and off-balance because Dr. Nakasone was supposed to be a defense witness.”

    July 1, 2013 at 10:21 am
    Dee says:
“An attorney on TV just said that what they are doing is using the defense witnesses against the defense. To make a jury think that these witnesses were on the

prosecution side. So when the defense calls them it will look like [they’re] contradicting themselves.”

    July 1, 2013 at 10:33 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:

Officer Doris Singleton called to stand

    July 1, 2013 at 11:19 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:
“Prosecutors generally call the victimā€™s mother as the last witness in a homicide case.
The State may have called Dr. Nakasone this morning due to his schedule.”

    July 1, 2013 at 11:26 am
    Frederick Leatherman says:

In this interview he claims he was struck and fell to the ground.
In this interview he leaves out TM running away.
In this interview he claims he was looking for an address when he exited his car, and HE LEFT OUT THE RUNNING AWAY by TM.
In this interview, GZ claims he saw the teen by Taffeā€™s
IN this interview, GZ claims he parked in the clubhouse parking lot out front. He fails to explain how TM passed him.
IN this interview GZ ties to skip ahead to the physical altercation and leave out how the pair moved from clubhouse vicinity to cut thru area.
In this interview GZ does NOT say TM circled his vehicle after doubling back.
In this interview GZ says he was directed to move by NEN call taker Sean ā€“ ONCE, but heā€™s trying to make it the reason for exiting his car. WHen caught, he has to

double down and make that happen TWICE>”

    Frederick Leatherman says:
    “Lunch recess until 1:30 pm”

  250. ay2z says:

One comment by Doris Singleton works well, very well, for the defense.

Singleton said the cuts on the back of head were still bleeding, and she provided kleenex from the box they have available in the interview room.

From this, the defense can cast doubt on the blood streaks and direcction of flow, as having occurred after Trayvon was killed, flowing down when fogen stood up, and flowing around ears, when fogen crouched for his photo op and phone call photos 3 minutes later. (rain and humidity in the air even if the rain stopped, would tend to keep the blood from drying fast, and minimally keep it shiny from added moisture)

That blood pattern may be fought over aggressively. We know already what ‘Kev’ will say for the defense, and that will be called into serious question at least.

    • Malisha says:

But her giving him tissues happened AFTER the first photo taken by a bystander at the scene while Fogen has a cell phone to his ear.

    • jo says:

he didn’t bleed on in the car on the ride in the police car…no blood trails when he got out of the car…so when did they start bleeding again?

    • Ms.X says:

She gave him a tissue & not an alcohol pad & a bandaid.

  251. breelee says:

I cant believe anyone would say the state shouldn’t show ALL of fogen’s statements, and that the case is now lost. That’s just crazy talk! Imo, that’s the proof of all of his lies, so the talking heads are just grasping at straws as usual. If they hadn’t shown them, I’d be upset. I’m a happy camper right now and know its only going to get better. The Hannity interview will be the last nail in his coffin. hee hee

  252. We heard Trayvon circled his truck and then disappeared into the darkness. I mean really. Who in their everlasting mind gets out of a safe truck & chases a stranger (who just circled your vehicle) into the darkness?

    • Sophia33 says:

Who in their right mind is on the phone with NEN dispatch telling them about a suspicious person but doesn’t tell the NEN dispatch that said suspicious person is circling their car? Mind you this is after dispatch says, “Let me know if he does anything else”. Doesn’t the suspicious person circling your car qualify as “anything else”? Why didn’t he tell the dispatch?

      • GZ thinks of himself as so slick. He was setting up the entire thing.

        • Ms.X says:

Yep. His Associates in Criminal Justice taught him exactly what to say & what not to say. This latest taped interview w/ Serrino shows that he got the “preferred” interrogation, the buddy interrogation. I kinda feel sorry for Serrino. He will be made the sacrificial lamb in the civil suit when the shoddy police work or cover up was a collaborative effort.

  253. willisnewton says:

I feel like I am pushing a chain ! Go Bernie go but get it all and get it right!!!

  254. silk says:

i was just wondering ,who did zimmerman call after the shooting ? i read somewhere at the nuthose , he (gz) told one the nutters that it was NEN ..

  255. Two sides to a story says:

  256. HereslookingatYou says:

Bill Shaffer says what he hopes and want not the way it truly is …
he wants Zimmerman free it’s so obvious

    • ay2z says:

The defense lawyers who are ‘legal analysts’ often are not objective nor balanced in their observations, they take one side and that’s what they are paid for, to make news, get ratings, say something opposite of the other station. When the wind or tide shifts, they sometimes shift with it, or take refuge on a ‘mid channel’ buoy until they jump in again.

    • whonoze says:

I completely disagree. He’s as non-partisan as one could hope for…

      • fauxmccoy says:

i agree whonooze. his analysis just takes each courtroom action at a time and discusses benefit or problems for either side. he has been a prosecutor and defense attorney. what he is not doing is comparing court testimony with all known discovery because that is not what the jury is hearing.

he was very complimentary to the state for calling nakesone this morning, for example. it is simply a play by play analysis without attempting to lay out either sides strategy.

      • Malisha says:

I don’t agree. I think he’s deliberately saying some things that are obvious so he can generate more and more interest in his own take on it. He’s trying to be SO different from others that people watch HIM more.

        • fauxmccoy says:

i think that both are true – his analysis strikes me as fair — but his job is to bring in viewers for advertisers, so he plays up certain aspects.

    • whonoze says:

E.g. Bill S. said he thought the State hit a home run with Nakasone (my words, not his, but he clearly thought Dr. N. was a big plus for the prosecution).

  257. Woow! says:

If it is proven during this trial that Shelly called CAC and told him about TM, can she get charged for facilitating that child’s murder?

    • ay2z says:

Wife has a role in the decisions of her husband, from that August 6th NEN call in which we hear her provide lookout info on the ‘suspect’ she claims she ID”d earlier re: burglary attempt (or sumpthun).

Wife prompted the NW formation by her husband, promted him to call NEN that August day of the burglary suspect being seen again (NOT, mind you, calling 911 on a repeated sighting of the person who fled an attempt of attack on woman and infant son story).

SZ did provide the gun to her husband but did she knowingly send him to use it, or knowing he might over react and use it, or did she know his mindset was to stop a ‘suspect’ from getting away when he went out of the house with her gun that night?

We don’t know until we know, I guess. Defense tried to keep SZ from being deposed, even tried to have her removed from their witness statement during court that day pre-trial.

    • Shellie called GZ at 6:48pm. It could be right at about the time TM entered the complex.

However, at his point there is no evidence that she tipped off. So, don’t get excited too early.
For her to know that TM was coming in the RATL, she had to be somewhere on his path. She would have called him right on time but they would have talked for 3minutes and then he would have left home only 15minutes later. It does not fit much with a tip off.

Finally, even assuming that she indeed warned GZ about TM, whatever she said is gone with the wind since it was a phone call.

    • Deborah Moore says:

I thought the same thing too, last night, or early morning. Even said it out loud to the mister.
So, of course, you’re right. šŸ™‚

  258. whonoze says:

Introducing GZ’s statements is not even remotely a mistake…

  259. darlinsass says:

Fogen calls Trayvon a “suspect” 17 times in his statement. At least as I recall, that’s what it is. It gave me goose bumps when I first read it.

  260. bellesouth says:

Trayvon had to have died instantly because there was no blood. He didn’t say, You got me. And of course GZ didn’t spread his hands out either.

  261. ay2z says:

“…. he fled” [bottom of pg 1 written, signed and witnessed statement given to SPD, February 26, 2012]

That word got lost in the changing of pages for the visual in court as the sentenced continued top of page 2.

” …. to a darkened area of the sidewalk.”

Someone, the defendant, has changed the ‘t’ to a capital ‘T” of the word ‘to’ at the top of pg 2, as if starting a new sentence, but it is a continuation.

” he fled to a darkened area of the sidewalk.”

“HE FLED” the killer said “HE FLED”. No question.

Bring on those Sean Hannity and other videos that Bernie talked about this morning… bring it! That ‘HE FLED will be used to expose the big lie about Trayvon’s stalking by returning to circle car, ambusing him, threatening to kill, etc.

The only place fogen can be going with idea of ‘he fled’ will be to show ambush.

Trayvon is no duck toller! Trayvon was not ‘hunting’ that night, only one person was out for the hunt to stop a bad guy suspect who is one of ‘these guys who know the neighborhood well and they always get away…. the guys who do the burglaries.”

  262. Boyd says:

He was following the kid much longer than I thought. He’s clearly walking to his Dad’s house.

    • ay2z says:

That’s what he says, minus the ‘real-time’ of the NEN call which eliminates any ‘circling’ events.

Fogen was playing a duck toller, attracting his ‘suspect’s’ attention, and when Trayvon ‘fled’, he made up the story of the return for circling. Just like a duck tolling (duck attracting) retriever does for the hunter, activities on shore that raise the curiosity of ducks, bringing them in for the hunter’s guns.

  263. disappointed says:

FOR THE RECORD: My comment about the officer not being able to read the cursive is BECAUSE West made such a huge deal about it. I am not disrespecting the officer pointing out the obvious. Sarcasm at it’s finest. Rachel was ridiculed because of it.

    • smokeegyrl says:

In reality Disap… I think that was staged by BDLR and the officer for West’s benefit… a payback for Rachel…

      • disappointed says:

I thought so to, but I am getting lots of smacks for commenting about it. Guess last week no one remembers West ridiculing a teen over the same shit. Thanks for getting it smokeegyrl.

        • smokeegyrl says:

not to worry bout it… I seen that too… either that or Fogen just writes sloppy… maybe she needed her reading glasses… I have the same problem I have problem seeing far and near… lol…

  264. smokeegyrl says:

Don’t y’all know that WFTV is for Fogen.. my goodness… wake up peeps.. they are going to say anything to get peeps discourage… why are you Trayvon supporters watching them any wayz… my goodness.. now wonder y’all have doubts listening to them… get with NBC… or HLN… Even HLN is for Trayvon…

    • smokeegyrl says:

Cept for that one chick in the early morning with the black hair … keep forgetting her hateful name…

    • Sophia33 says:

I listened to WFTV one day. I was done after that. The comments at the bottom are enough to drive you crazy.

    • whonoze says:

WFTV, in the person of their reporters and Bill S’s commentary, are not FOR either side. Sheaffer does a good job of opining how the jury may be reading the testimony, and he looks at both sides of the equation ā€” how things said may work for the aid or detriment of BOTH the defense and prosecution. He doesn’t have a lot of factual background, so he’s taking things as they come, just as the jury is.

On the other hand, the people who Tweet to WFTV and post on their live-blog are overwhelmingly (though not exclusively) Zimmietards.

So I watch the WFTV feed for Bill’s commentary, which I take with a grain of salt, and I ignore the Tweeted comments on the scroll, and ignore the blog as well for the most part.

      • smokeegyrl says:

I comfortable with NBC… no tweets, no commentary… no hatred… just our blog… our sweet sweet blog… with loving people who are all for the same thing… just like one big family…. don’t have to see all the hatred… don’t have to hear the commentary weighing on who says this that and the other bout BDLR… only have to worry about our own supporters… *smiling*

      • jm says:

So do you believe Shaeffer’s opinion that the state has made a critical error by introducing GZ’s words and story today by the state make it unnecessary for the defense to put GZ on the stand?

I just can’t see them making this type of error because the 3 prosecuting attorneys combined would have discussed the pros and cons of doing this. Surely they know exactly what they are doing or not? Whonoze?

  265. whonoze says:

Shaeffer is a TRIAL commentator. He hasn’t dug into the evidence already the way the BCCList group has. He doesn’t know (yet) how many inconsistencies and outright falsehoods can be demonstrated from GZ’s statements.

Since the clubhouse security videos prove BRD that GZ did not call NEN until he was on TTL (among other things) I sure hope BDLR is clued in on that.

    • Puck says:

I figure most of the TV lawyers know only the basics and GZ’s account (and don’t realize it’s actually accounts, plural). I don’t let what they say bother me, though many here do. I don’t blame them, since it’s frustrating to keep hearing about how the state is failing to make a case and GZ will likely be acquitted yadda yadda while knowing all that we do and they clearly don’t.

  266. diary73 says:

I have been teaching for more than 20 years. For the past several years I have taken a portion of time to urge my students to engage in self-directed learning to teach themselves proficiency in cursive writing. For some reason, many of them do not read or write cursive well. I tell them that this is a literacy issue and they must teach themselves. I then provide resource.

No one is ever going to force someone to write in cursive much (except when verifying identity on standardized tests), but the ability to read cursive equates with literacy.

    • gwynne says:

I read old farm diaries from around 1840-1900. There is a skill to reading cursive, and the handwriting I read is difficult for many. The easiest way is read relatively rapidly, and then go back for any errors. I would not want to do that on the stand, however.

    • Two sides to a story says:

We all have problems reading certain people’s handwriting, whether cursive or block. This isn’t unusual.

  267. Sophia33 says:

I wonder what the talking heads will say when they play George’s other versions? He had as many as Jodi Arias.

  268. smokeegyrl says:

Let’s see… He told Serino a different version… Plus Hannity… How many interviews has been on? I wonder if Hannity is on the witness List… Wasn’t Fogen on Dr Drew because he we all know Barbara Walters turned Fogen down…

  269. Stormwatch says:

If he does take the stand, I hope the judge asks him whether he’s on any prescriptions. One of the judge’s down here in Broward County makes it a point to do that before anyone in his courtroom testifies. First thing he wants to know is what medication they are on while testifying.

    • gwynne says:

Slightly off topic, but you mentioned Broward County…Are you saying a judge there asks anyone who is testifying what drugs they are on in front of a jury? Or do they ask privately, and then decide whether the person on the stand is ok or too impaired to testify in open court?

  270. gwynne says:

Maybe the talking heads are quite mindful of the pending lawsuit against nbc. They don’t want to join the fun, so they just skew towards Z.

  271. elcymoo says:

My understanding is that the state can use all of Zimmerman’s statements and pick them apart bit by bit with crime scene evidence, forensic analysis or witness statements. Wouldn’t he have to take the stand to counter the prosecution? I think Bernie’s way too smart and experienced to make a significant error by introducing what he shouldn’t have.

  272. MichelleO says:

    People of little faith.

    • elle says:

Do not worry Michelle, I am holding tight to my faith and will never let it go. I am only sending positive thoughts out into the atmosphere. And trying to hold onto my grace like Sybrina. I have a lot to learn from her.

  273. gldgirl63 says:

hello i am new here….i found this site lastnite….and i must say i am impressed….such classy folks here….you can feel it in the atomosphere……can somone here give me a quick rundown on the speech expert….. i had to step out… for a while when i got back he was done…..

    • aussie says:

Very very briefly, he said machines cannot identify who a voice belongs to, unless they have long enough samples. And not if it’s screaming. But people familiar with the speaker CAN identify the voice. .

West carried on for a long time trying to confuse him. West was upset because this was going to be HIS witness.

  274. ZCBest says:

The dumb media is saying things like this is going to keep Zimmerman off the stand. He was consistent. What are these people smoking? Must be good.

He is going to have to get on the stand to clear up these inconsistencies. The prosecution is showing his state of mind, shows to depraved mind, etc. Proving the elements of murder 2. Slowly but surely. Slice by slice, these non-CAC’s are making a cake!!!

    • willisnewton says:

“Consistent?” yes, he consistently told provable lies. he consistently contradicted himself. he consistently was incomplete in his desrcitions of events. he consistently told a story that cannot be reconciled with the NEN call recording, and the testimony of Racheal J/ W8/Dee Dee.

    • Dee says:

I totally agree with you whole heartily. He has to get on the stand. Are you looking at HLN? I am shocked at Ret Brooks. He was all on broad for Zimmerman. I have lost all respect for his judgments in a crime from this day forwards because I can see he has biases, and is not going by the evidence. I don’t care what color Trayon was innocent is innocent, even if he was white and Zimmerman was black I would still say Zimmerman was completely wrong for going after this kid. But of course if this was the case, he would have been under the jail lesson on in it. Not vacationing as Zimmerman has been doing getting rich from his hate supporter and eating better than he could every afford to before. That was he gain so much weight then steak put weight on you boy. šŸ™‚

      • ZCBest says:

I hear ya Dee. I can’t tell you how many experts have lost my respect forever over this case. That’s just way the chocolate chip cookie crumbles. Yea, I watch HLN, while livestreaming it online and on WFTV will Bill Shaeffer contributes nothing but bull honky. I just like to see what they are saying, even though I don’t believe the jury will agree with them. The jury will examine the evidence and Fogen is going to become somebody’s bitch!

    • KittySP says:

Well, consistent in the fact the lies he’s telling to come up with this ridiculous story, yes. Consistent with NEN, physical, and forensic evidence, not a chance.

I’m still trying to figure how Trayvon managed to continue beating GZ head in concrete with one hand, he said he already had grabbed hold of the arm the was reaching for the gun. Yet, you claimed to have “scooted” yourself away from sidewalk.

  275. diary73 says:

Disappointed, I remember that she said she didn’t have her reading glasses.

    • disappointed says:

she had contacts in. IT WAS sarcasm because of how they treated RACHEL. Calling her out because she could not read cursive.

  276. DruDo says:

Bill S., a commentator on WFTV just said this may have been a fatal mistake on the prosecution’s part. I only caught the tail end of his comment, so don’t know why he said that. Seems Bill S. may be a bit biased.

    • ZCBest says:

I just posted about that. He is not listening to the content of the statements and the variations. Fogen will have to clear up these inconsistencies or leave it up to chance by not taking the stand. I betcha that 5 mothers will know how to read between the lines and see the lies for the trees.

    • MichelleO says:

I don’t agree that this is a fatal mistake. There was a chance that he may not be ever called; so they work with the evidence that they have, and that evidence is pretty strong. He profiled this boy from start to finish; dehumanized him for no reason at all. Called the kid he killed a “suspect” even in death. No remorse whatsoever.

      • Ms.X says:

That is a big part of what makes it so painful. I’m the type who would run up into someone’s yard to avoid running over a squirrel. To me. people who are so cavalier about life are psychos….Or at least socios.

    • DruDo says:

RobertSF, whoops…didn’t see your comment re Bill S. on WFTV until after I put my 2 cents in about the same thing.

      • RobertSF says:

Ha, ha! No problem. I don’t know what the deal is with Bill Shaeffer. I guess he’s a defense attorney and sees it only from a defense attorney’s point of view. He did seem a little stung at some point last week when he told the audience that he wasn’t on anybody’s side but was just calling it the way he saw it. Apparently, comments have gotten through to him that he’s biased.

    • willisnewton says:

It’s a lot more complicated that a TV blowviator can explain. I’m not worried, but yes they did allow his statements in – his incomplete, contradictory and provably false statement.

He’s in the process of being proven a self serving liar with a false claim of self defense.

    • PYorck says:

The idea is that this way GZ got an essentially complete version of his story in and everything said in the interview he doesn’t have to say on the stand. Because of that the defense might just rest their case.

I still think that the state is obviously aware of that and they have something to undermine that version so much that it won’t help GZ on balance.

    • Trained Observer says:

From what I’ve seen of Bill S., he must need assistance for putting on a tie in the morning.

    • dianetrotter says:

Are you reading the tweets on WFTV? I can’t believe we are all looking at the same trial.

    • fauxmccoy says:

if i remember correctly, we always figured that statement would come into evidence around here. how much the rest of his statements is debateable.

officers can also testify without admitting video and offer insight to defendant’s demeanor as you just witnessed. jurors tend to find their testimony very compelling.

  277. diary73 says:

Zimmerman’s statement is now in! Why did they take this route? Now he does not have to take the stand to get his statement of self defense in. I am so very confused right now.

    • MichelleO says:

His statement was always coming in. It’s part of the evidence and part of the case. Why are you surprised? Everyone knows his statements because they have been out in the public for over a year.

      • diary73 says:

I thought the defense was going to force GZ to testify to even allow self-defense to get into evidence. Just an assumption on my part.

    • amsterdam1234 says:

I think they are very confident that they can disproof his statements with forensic evidence. I think they made the right choice.

    • Malisha says:

The defense fought hard to keep the statements from being revealed a year ago, saying they were “confessions.” What happened was that once the forensics were in and it was obvious that he was lying, his own dishonest statements were one of the three BIG pieces of prosecution evidence, which Galbreath described as:

      “We had his statements,
      we had the shell casing,
and we had Mr. Martin’s body.”

Buh-Bye, Fogen. Get ready for prison food and a real job.

  278. disappointed says:

Maybe Doris is giving props to Rachel in a sly way pretending to have problems reading his cursive hand writing. šŸ™‚

  279. RobertSF says:

The legal pundits on WFTV are saying calling Singleton and playing Zimmerman’s statement was a fatal mistake. A lawyer by the name of Bill Shaeffer basically said the state’s case is over because now Zimmerman doesn’t have to testify. šŸ˜¦

    • disappointed says:

except his stories do not match 911 or evidence. they are defense attorney pundits imo.

    • sparger says:

I imagine the next step is too play the video statements he made that don’t match what he said that night.

    • jo says:

pffft he’s already testified….he’s made so many statements and interviews and nothing matches the facts and nothing is consistent and some isn’t even possible…i doubt he would have taken the stand anyway….he’d probably love to because he thinks he’s smarter than he is, but his lawyers surely know by now that they should never ever ever under any circumstance ever let that man speak again…ever.

    • cielo62 says:

Robert~ B Schaeffer is full of massive amounts of horse manure. Don’t believe it. With this testimony, gz has already discredited everything the witnesses said, ie HE IS LYING. No worries. Only gz can clear up the confusion. He WILL have to testify.

The pundits on WFTV are awful. It’s exactly the opposite. GZ’s statements are full of contradictions/lies and don’t fit the evidence. He has to get on the stand to explain them.

    • Malisha says:

I-dee-oh-tick analysis. This Schaeffer guy is frankly out of his gourd OR he is angling for something. The statements that Fogen made all work AGAINST him being able to claim self-defense because, as Doris Singleton knew and knows, and as the forensics WILL PROVE, his statements do not match measurable realities.

    • chi1224 says:

Schaeffer is talking out his ass on that one. Fogen will NEVER testify and the prosecution knows that…. all that matters is that the jury know all of Fogen’s lies to police and they are now getting those– with much more to come.

    • willisnewton says:

its still being vetted and peer reviewed by bloggers. the phone records dont list names, only numbers.

It appears George had a busy day. There is the suggestion that GZ got a three minute call from shellie at just the time TM would have been entering the complex. Speculation is that she called him with the tip off, and this is why in the recreation he says “my wife…” and then cuts himself off when describing the scene by Taaffes.

Much more to go on that, as well as the idea the the phone call in the bloody head photo is GZ calling NEN back for one minute (possibly not connecting at all).

ALl texts so far seem to be not in the period of the “profiled, pursued and confronted” phase, so it doesnt seem like GZ communivcated with a confederate on the scene after hanging up with NEN.

Some question as to whether or not he was able to get messages while in custody.

Much to delve into. ALl of this us currently speculative and subject to revision.

I taught a total of 11 years, Cielo. I loved it, I liked the kids, but I got burned out with other issues and resigned.

      • diary73 says:

I have been teaching for more than 20 years. For the past several years I have taken a portion of time to urge my students to engage in self-directed learning to teach themselves proficiency in cursive writing. For some reason, many of them do not read or write cursive well. I tell them that this is a literacy issue and they must teach themselves. I then provide resource.

No one is ever going to force someone to write in cursive much (except when verifying identity on standardized tests), but the ability to read cursive equates with literacy.

        • cielo62 says:

          • diary73 says:

  309. willisnewton says:

        @Trained,

Is this TOO MUCH like Monty Python, or what?

I have zero sense of humor but am convulsed by Singleton’s earnest effort to read GZ’s writing — SHE IS NOT GIVING HIM ANY BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT — if the word is not clear she stalls mid-sentence, like a dog that won’t hunt. The effect on the jurors (and TV audience) is that Zimmerman’s mind runs like that, in fits & starts. And it’s clear to everyone that Zim is doing his best wannabe cop imitation – way before Bernie asks Singleton about “suspect”, just to ram it home.

Ahh, this is one fuckin’ poor day to be a vigilante …

      • Looks like they were having a bit of fun there. Especially when Fogen appeared to be agitated that Singleton’s reading of his written statement didn’t flow like he would have said it. I was expecting him to jump up and correct her himself (tee, hee)

  339. Beverly says:

Why would he let himself be interrogated without an attorney? Does he not know he’s in trouble….

    • Sophia33 says:

My theory on this is that George viewed the police as his peers. Like with the cop shows, it is telling his peers what happened. That is why he is going with terminology like “the suspect”.

      • Malisha says:

My theory is that he was advised, in the SQUAD CAR with Timothy Smith, that he was not going to be charged. At one point Serino says to him, “You’re still the good guy here.”

        • lurker says:

I think that Serino was trying to keep stringing him along.

It is incredibly surprising how long his daddy allowed him to continue talking to the police without getting an attorney. Perhaps Georgie was having some adolescent rebellion against dad. In that first revolving door of attorneys, were there not some who presented themselved as his attorney that he later claimed were not representing him?

    • gwynne says:

My guess only, he’s entitled, special, doing his “job”. He isn’t bothered about telling the little lady about his helpful acts. And anyway, he’s convinced he can legally kill at will as long as he states he was ‘fraid for his life.

    There’s your map, willis.

  341. Sabrina B. says:

Why does the defense never seem to have anything? Weren’t they sent all of this before?

    • Woow! says:

The defense team thought they could appeal to racist and taint the jury pool enough to where a guilty would be impossible. It is my opinion that MOM did not prepare a defense until the last moment. He kept trying to delay the trial.

    • Ms.X says:

No to mention that big ass binder omara schleps back & forth to the podium but never uses. The docs are probably stuffed in there.

      • Nellie Nell says:

  342. willisnewton says:

THE MAP. the one GZ marked as showing him parked near the mail kiosk, but quickly crossing out before telling an impossible tale of “doubling back to circle my car”

  344. Dee says:

Remember this neighborhood only had three street names, and he doesn’t know what street, he’s on. From what the witness said, only three streets to this neighborhood. He didn’t know what street he was on and he is the captain of the neighborhood watch. This man is lying through his ears. They will testify that a shot through the heart is not going to give you this kind of time for him to stretch his arms, our talk to him.

  353. Puck says:

He says he was waiting to get through to NEN while Trayvon was circling his car. In the walk-through, he says he parked at the clubhouse to call.

    • willisnewton says:

yes a HUGE contradiction. One he got caught in as a function of trying to omit the car to pedestrian chase AND the teen running away, ever.

GZ never speaks of the running away until prompted.

  354. gwynne says:

Befuddled about streets/address, knows the exact contact for the security camera. Hmmm….

And all the kids and adults in the neighborhood, yet he does not know the name of 1 of the only 3 streets in the neighborhood. He was doing some serious stalking because the people that lived on that side of Retreatview Circle had never seen him before, but somehow he knew them all!

He just didn’t know the teen walking home in the rain looking at where he was walking in the dark with a hoodie on his head.

fogen is so sickening, I can’t hardly stand to hear his lies. What a dumb ass he is ,too, he thinks he’s so smart. He’s a fuckin’ idiot, all his sucking up. Surely the jury will be able to tell he’s telling a pure fabrication, just to cover his ass. It’s hard to listen to this pos & look at him sitting there, just awful.

    • Nellie Nell says:

The sad thing about this entire case is that it took the parents of Trayvon to plead for help in bringing the murderer to trial. He spun all those tales and still there were those who wanted to let the killer go. He is a threat to the entire nation – the last thing this country needed at the time was to push racism to the forefront of the brains of some at the expense of a murdered teen. Folks were already upset about the election and their hatred was on display everywhere.

This case has really divided this nation based on some of the things that people have said about Trayvon, his grieving parents and those that have helped get a proper investigation. Don West has also proven how ignorant and intolerable people can really be because of how/what they think about other races.

      It saddens me.

    • amsterdam1234 says:

5 of them have children. They know how to recognize bullshit.

  365. disappointed says:

He said something about his wife at the beginning of this interview also.

  366. willisnewton says:

SHellie catches him about the passing. – he needs to make up a lie, so he picks the parking lot.

yet somehow… this is so much bullshit

  367. Sabrina B. says:

Has no trouble clarifying her but misunderstood NEN directions.

  368. willisnewton says:

x marks the lie. Shellie saw him there and called GZ at 6:48 adn they spoke for three minutes.

anyone recallthe slip “my wife…” when he did the “recreation”

    • jo says:

oooh is that from the phone records….i wish i could read them and understand them, i’m a bit slow on the uptake

    • Nellie Nell says:

Yep, when he was in the car with the detectives before his reenactment which will be yet another account of what happened.

He will also say that he spread Trayvon’s arms while holding his gun using his own arms for the visual.

    • Malisha says:

Yup — LLMPapa made a good video of that one.

  369. disappointed says:

He saw him at entrance? Thought he said FT’s home?

  370. willisnewton says:

DORIS THE EXPLORER – the map, the map!!!! yay! getting ready to pour a cold one here. DO IT BERNIE. SHOW US THE MAP.

  371. Woow! says:

Prosecution has 1 Paralegal; defense have 3 attorneys, 3 law clerks, 1 tech guy.

  372. disappointed says:

still talking away. He just does not know when to shut his pie hole.

  373. jo says:

man how did we every survive before google maps?

  374. gbrbsb says:

IDK, but am I getting something real wrong here? Am I hallucinating? Have I forgotten this tape?

Hasn’t GZ just completely admitted going “down the dog walk” and “going behind the houses” ?

    Dare I hope?

If he has I bet Jeralyn & Co have really twisted knickers and boxer shorts at this moment!

  375. YQ says:

NOT ON NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH THAT NIGHT!!! NO BUSINESS FOLLOWING THAT KID IF HE WASN’T DOING ANYTHING WRONG!!!

  376. smokeegyrlhe went from you got a f****** problem homie to you have a problem says:

he went from you got a f****** problem homie to you got a problem

  377. DruDo says:

He usually likes to stare at the camera with a smug look, but can’t even look up now. He has “tells” which are very obvious.

  378. Nellie Nell says:

Lot’s of huffing and puffing done by the lumpy lump head CAC!

  379. There goes the “you got a problem, homie” lie. Lord give me strength as I listen to this bald face liar.

  380. Sabrina B. says:

Once police got there he got on his feet? But, jon saw you standing. three witnesses saw you stand up directly and walk around.

  381. disappointed says:

don’t shoot me. my gun is here.

  382. willisnewton says:

HE WAS NOT AT GUNPOINT. Tim Smith arrived to a coffee-clatch watercooler discussion between Manalo and ZImmerman.

  383. gwynne says:

See…I know how to be a good suspect.

  384. dianetrotter says:

hE did not admit walking to t several times.

  385. jo says:

ohhhh keep digging your grave georgey,…this is excruciating…and i love it.

  386. Puck says:

GZ says he only got up when Manolo came with his flashlight.

  387. willisnewton says:

WHERE WERE GEORGE’S HANDS this whole time?

  388. willisnewton says:

“and that’s what knocked you down? “yes sir” he says

    NO STUMBLE for 40 feet.

  389. DruDo says:

He could “slide” away from the sidewalk into the grass, but couldn’t slide out from under TM. Liar.

  390. Puck says:

Let those “the state is losing, GZ will be acquitted” TV lawyers chew on this and the subsequent interviews.

  391. disappointed says:

haha no he didn’t say he would meet them at his car. Lies and more lies.

  392. willisnewton says:

note that GZ has not yet spoken about the teen’s running away -he’s hoping to leave that part out permanently.

  393. Sabrina B. says:

    This is asshole?

  394. jo says:

street sign … not house number

  395. willisnewton says:

GZ blinking like a disco floor.

  396. gwynne says:

The only time he gets hesitant and slow is when he thinks he’s getting boo-boo attention. Once that’s done, he’s back to normal voice ace reporter/crime stopper. Ugh.

  397. willisnewton says:

i’d love to see this drawing. We’ve not so far, have we?

  398. YQ says:

Kathi Belich-“Jury taking LOTS of notes.”

  399. disappointed says:

  400. fauxmccoy says:

    singleton: is that a contusion?
    fogen: no, that’s normal

    busted!

  401. jo says:

his head is normal in his own words hahaha suck on it

  402. Sabrina B. says:

    Shape of your head?

  403. parrot says:

    “Is this bump … I can’t tell what’s normal for you …”

  404. disappointed says:

stoned wash? wtf is this the 80s?

  405. Tzar says:

So Trayvon smashed his head on the concrete one last time right before he shot him…
    ok

so I thought you had shimmied to the grass?
why are you both seen at least 2-4 feet from the sidewalk?
Why is his body so far from the concrete?

    • Nellie Nell says:

He is not even good at being a liar. He had 3 minutes to look at the crime scene before the cops arrived to at least try to make his story plausible. What a failure. Been one all of his life. Not even sure the tape is completely necessary after all that we’ve heard so far and his own accounts and mapping of his very 1st version of events.

Good grief, what a loser. He need not ever get out of prison.

  406. jo says:

    he’s talking like he’s describing a move he saw…..

  407. smokeegyrl says:

you see how he’s looking he’s lying he’s taking deep breaths he’s taking big gulps his eyes are going from one side to the other he’s lying

  408. Sabrina B. says:

The lie, help me with this guy.

  409. Rachael says:

  413. gbrbsb says:

OMG… Is this a redacted part we never heard or am I forgetting my tapes?! It’s such a long time ago I listened to them completely. But whatever, GZ said:

“I had gone through the dog walk where I walk my dog”

Or will he now claim the “dog walk” was what he later calls the “cut through” ?

  414. DruDo says:

He makes me sick. He LIKES saying “I shot him”.

  415. gwynne says:

He sure likes to repeat, “I shot him”.

  416. chi1224 says:

    He was still talking…..

  417. Oh, the lies are being exposed before all.

  418. GOOD morning…just thought of a little detail
TM had NO FLASHLIGHT,how could he break and enter with NO flashlight…TM knew the way home, because he was staying there,no flashlight needed, small detail…fogen pursued/stalked anyway

  419. Puck says:

Fogen is panicking. You can tell by his fast breathing and his mouth/lip movements.

  420. willisnewton says:

the verbal death threat. what kind of idiot would ever give a death threat to an armed person BEFORE taking away their gun.

  421. Woow! says:

He felt back onto the grass but TM started hitting his head on the sidewalk made of grass then he tried to slide back onto the grass WTF

  422. dianetrotter says:

help me help me HE’S KILLING ME!!!

  423. disappointed says:

a sign on the ground? Stupid.

  424. Rachael says:

You couldn’t breath, he had his hand over your mouth and nose, yet you screamed.

    A sign? Hmmm

  425. jo says:

help me help me he’s killing me……yes george this is so funny you’re killing me homie

  426. fauxmccoy says:

yup, i always like to announce when i plan to sucker punch. doesn’t everyone?

  427. ada4750 says:

I felt when he first punched me.

  428. disappointed says:

Wailing on his head, Fogen I wish he wailed on your head.

  429. willisnewton says:

i fell to the ground when he punched me the first time – i fell backwards.

    WHERE’s THE STUMBLE ?

  430. Rachael says:

Oh, this is the homie one LOL

    • MrSykes says:

LOL. Yeah, the relatively “clean” version, given the lack of MF’er at the end of “you gonna DIE tonight!!”

  431. disappointed says:

He did not give make and model of his car.

  432. chi1224 says:

    Jumped out from bushes! LIE

  433. willisnewton says:

from the bushes. homie. gimme a break, this will all change later.

    • Nellie Nell says:

I think that the reason he mentioned bushes is because he was scratched on the back of the head by one. That he remembered that bush scratching his head, so that would be perfect. Imagine the 5’11” kid trying to jump out from behind 3 feet high bushes no where near the T! I would laugh but I am too angry and disgusted.

  434. disappointed says:

Did not know name of the street. Haha but knows everyone in his ‘hood.

  435. Nef05 says:

Good morning everyone. Glad I was able to get here in time to see Singleton. Sounds like the beginning of the tape. According to the comments, Dr. Nakasone was up first and West thought it was another Frye hearing? Such a dumass.

  436. jo says:

completely circled the car haha….fuck this is great to hear again

  437. Sabrina B. says:

    Wow! Circling his car.

  438. chi1224 says:

    Circled his car….. LIE

  439. DruDo says:

“Lost visual”….so much more “cop-like”. Wannabe

    • Deborah Moore says:

He’s got the lingo down. Whatta guy.
Also reference to firearm. Most folks would say Gun or Piece, wouldn’t they?

  440. fauxmccoy says:

gz admits to following in car
makes blatant lie about ‘circling car’

  441. willisnewton says:

    damn BDLR is skipping ahead.

  442. gwynne says:

Georgie sounds good to me, a normal adult male voice, not confused, not hesitant, alert, totally oriented…yet almost beaten into needing diapers. Hmmmm….

  443. disappointed says:

Blaming dispatcher. Lost visual. Circling you car, whatever.

  444. disappointed says:

    Yes, I look suspicious everyday.

  445. DruDo says:

Ms.X, I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if she’ll refer to Trayvon Martin with his first name only.

  446. Funny how Zimmerman claims to know every child and adult in the neighborhood but doesnā€™t know the streets where heā€™s lived for 3 years? Lying liar!

  447. willisnewton says:

THIS IS GREAT. Looks like BDLR is going to annotate the ENTIRE series of SPD interviews and the video walk thru “re-creation” (lol) of the events.

The people casually following will finally see how big a liar this guy is. Inconsistencies and contradictions aplenty. ANything MOM tries to obfuscate on cross will just bring attention to the lies and contradictions. There IS NO REASONABLE DOUBT that GZ lied to the SPD. He told CONTRADICTORY accounts, therefore ONE version at least is a lie. In this case, many times BOTH versions are PROVABLE lies.

  448. colin black says:

    last time they were down

what last time you stalked a dagniggitty

    LAST TIME

    They were down is CODE

LAST TIME DOWN=DUMMY CCT CAMERAS CHEAP AN FOR DETERENT ONL
don’t record obviously called the cheapskate package

  449. Ms.X says:

Its weird how Singleton is referring to the defendant as “george” & is on a 1st name basis with him, apparently, and how they are getting information from him & treating him almost like he is an extension of law enforcement. Too weird.

    • Rachael says:

      police tactic?

    • willisnewton says:

it’s a strategy to elicit statements before he clams up and asks for a lawyer. He was given what I’d call “good cop/ good cop” treatment. DOn’t be fooled. The goal hear is to keep him speaking without a lawyer present.

Take a lesson from this and NEVER speak to LE without a lawyer present, ESPECIALLY if you are innocent. (GZ is not innocent, IMO.)

  450. disappointed says:

say something while she is out of room

  451. Two sides to a story says:

    Fogen’s starting to squirm.

  452. sparger says:

George knew the video wasn’t working and he knew exactly who to contact.

  453. disappointed says:

OMG how does his head get bashed yet he is rattling names and contacts of people. Whatever.

  454. Rachael says:

There is his script – they always get away. – he was leisurely walking. Can’t get more suspicious than that.

  455. disappointed says:

I know everybody, I am George of the Jungle.

  456. disappointed says:

Rattling off names after a head bashing that just about put him in diapers.

  457. disappointed says:

This neighborhood had a lot of crimes. I decided to start a neighborhood watch! WOW

  458. willisnewton says:

This is the first interview he’s entering into evidence. No map yet, but at the end she leaves the room to get the map.

In this interview he claims he was struck and fell to the ground.

In this interview he leaves out TM running away.

In this interview he claims he was looking for an address when he exited his car, and HE LEFT OUT THE RUNNING AWAY by TM.

In this interview, GZ claims he saw the teen by Taffe’s

IN this interview, GZ claims he parked in the clubhouse parking lot out front. He fails to explain how TM passed him.

IN this interview GZ ties to skip ahead to the physical altercation and leave out how the pair moved from clubhouse vicinity to cut thru area.

In this interview GZ does NOT say TM circled his vehicle after doubling back.

In this interview GZ says he was directed to move by NEN call taker Sean – ONCE, but he’s trying to make it the reason for exiting his car. WHen caught, he has to double down and make that happen TWICE>

  459. parrot says:

Zimmerman with agitated breathing, but trying to control it.

  460. YQ says:

Zimmerman denied his own miranda rights, BOOM!

  461. MrSykes says:

Love how Fogen gets the chills when he heard the “your statements can be used against you to prove your guilt” portion of the miranda.

  462. chi1224 says:

The beginning of the unraveling of Fogen’s lies

  463. disappointed says:

Head bashed and he knew date?

    • Dee says:

I totally agree I have never heard of someone making money on a murder case and was allowed to do that. Rule’s changes with the color of your skin I truly believe that.

  465. Defendant had crusted blood under his nose and on the back of his head.

He did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  466. Sabrina B. says:

    Here comes the lies.

  467. disappointed says:

did you notice boo boos on him?

  468. jo says:

    @colin black … what texts??

  469. colin black says:

foggagge love to show the jury how compliant he is an respects the law.
    An stands up politely
An I only shot one time slight shrug

An I put my hands up an every thing.

  470. willisnewton says:

    TALK ABOUT THE MAP

  471. Prosecutors generally call the victim’s mother as the last witness in a homicide case.

The State may have called Dr. Nakasone this morning due to his schedule.

  472. colin black says:

  475. Tzar says:

Sounds like Singleton was demoted too
could all these demotions be to insulate them from being seen as in cahoots with SPD

  476. ay2z says:

Doris S is well educated and well trained.

  477. chi1224 says:

I’m shocked they didn’t call Sabrina, but this should be good too

  478. colin black says:

Ah ha the former narcotics office foggagge denies takeing advice from on one of the txts

  479. YQ says:

@ willisnewton-I hope that you’re here, my friend. This might get real interesting.

  480. ay2z says:

Doris Singleton, we are going to hear some redacted audio video of fogen’s own statements?

Sybrina will testify last…. powerful when it comes, but not yet.

  481. ada4750 says:

    I heard that voice before

  482. Sophia33 says:

Singleton seemed to know GZ was full of b.s. from the beginning. So this should be good.

  483. colin black says:

an in uniform wonder if she went back to traffic as well

  484. MrSykes says:

Singleton might be a lightning rod for the State.

  485. disappointed says:

    Did she get demoted also?

  486. willisnewton says:

YES DORIS. go lady go. She KNOWS GZ was lying to her, directly.

  487. fauxmccoy says:

woohooo — det. singleton! you go, girl. you never bought into the defendant’s horseshit. looking good, detective in your dress blues.

  488. breelee says:

Why would the state agree to redact ANYTHING from fogens videos and audios? I cant make sense of that.

  489. gbrbsb says:

    My thoughts on bias…

    GZ’s family & friends… They have an obvious bias that the screams are GZ’s to avoid him being found guilty;

GZ… He has an absolute imperative that the screams are found to be his to avoid being found guilty and going to jail.

Tracey… He probably did have a bias the first time he heard the screams. The bias of being in denial, i.e. he did NOT want it to be Trayvon, his psyche rejected it could be Trayvon because hearing him scream like that would have been too painful. Note Tracey falls into sobs and tears much more than Sybrina (and before anyone jumps on me I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT saying Sybrina is less caring or loved Trayvon any less, just they have different ways of dealing with the pain). Tracey has consistently blamed himself for not being there when Trayvon needed him most, recognising the screams the day after was too much for him to bear.

Sybrina – I am not sure when she first heard the tape because the other day the defence said something about it being 3 weeks later. In any case she ran from the room crying whenever it was. Mother’s recognise their children’s voices that is a part of the survival system. Only a psychotic mother could have a bias for those screams to be those of her offspring about to die, as no normal human being would want those screams to be of their own child. Therefore, unless the defence is going to argue that Sybrina only “recognises” the voice because she is a gold digger hoping to get rich on civil suits, something I don’t think the jury of 5 mothers will accept so easily, IMO they could either go with Sybrina’s firm recognition or not take it into account at all.

    • gbrbsb says:

      Errata,

When cutting and pasting I messed up the last paragraph a bit, and left a final comment out, so it should read:

Therefore, unless the defence is going to argue that Sybrina only ā€œrecognisesā€ the voice because she is a gold digger hoping to get rich on civil suits, something I donā€™t think the jury of 5 mothers will accept so easily, they don’t have any real argument for the screams being GZ’s, so the jury will basically left to decide themselves, and IMO they could either go with Sybrinaā€™s firm recognition or not take it into account at all.

I so hope the State at some time plays the tape in small segments so the different utterances can be heard and they can hear that it not just one voice on the tape.

  490. Next witness: Doris Singleton.

  491. colin black says:

    Wow Singleton always liked her

  492. jo says:

singleton..wow unexpected at this point, this ought to be good

  493. YQ says:

    SINGLETON!!!

  494. Puck says:

    SINGLETON!

  495. chi1224 says:

    I am shaking….

  496. willisnewton says:

Hannity interview redacted… no transcripts. BDLR says there are transcripts but not being introdiuced at this time.

  497. fauxmccoy says:

i think this is about to get good.

  498. Sophia33 says:

I can’t watch now. On a call. Prayers to Sybrina if she is up next.

  499. ay2z says:

Bernie, about fogen’s interviews, re Hannity and other self-serving statement ‘redactions’ re jury instructions. Parts of recoding of defendant, some agreement, so on audio and video, not transcripts being introduced, and ithese statements will be in agreed-upon redacted form. (legal and other considrations)

  500. willisnewton says:

State wants to redact the interview with hannity and with SPD… what;s that about? I assume it’s the self defense claims.

MOM seems to agree to the redactions. Does anyone know what this is?

  501. YQ says:

It looks like they WILL use the Hannity interview!!!

  502. jo says:

    they’re baaaaaack

  503. ay2z says:

What, is fogen now on the phone to call up his mom to watch or listen to what will happen next?

  504. disappointed says:

Oh if it is Sabrina it will be rough. šŸ˜¦

  505. HereslookingatYou says:

How sad the last time Sabrina ever will hear her son..
    and it’s a death scream..
And I hope she conveys that to the jury

  506. SearchingMind says:

I am certain West has yet not figured out what just happened and the Prosecutionā€™s strategy. West is still talking about methodology, spectrogram, scientific community, yada yada, yada. West clearly thinks this is a Frye hearing. Dumb.

    • gwynne says:

Will be interesting to watch and see when it dawns on him what’s actually happening. Maybe he’ll throw a pen.

  507. willisnewton says:

this case is snot about who was screaming. It;s about who was the aggressor.

THERE WAS NO FIGHT, the defendant himself says so – according to his own words, there was a one sided beating wherein he did NOTHING at all with his hands except draw his weapon and shoot an unarmed kid in the heart. It’s a ludicrous lie, but he’s pointing out very stringly what is missing – what he did with his hands.

We also have testimony that Trayvon had a goal – we know he ran away – GZ says it and RJ corroborates it. Trayvon was in a physical altercation with a man he’d seen watching him intently (when he was doing nothing wrong, and was sheltering himself from the rain) and was then chased BY A MOVING CAR, and so he fled on foot to a dark alley, where the man then chased him on foot.

In the physical altercation that ensued, all parties agree that GZ did not identify himself. The closest eye witness was asked to help restrain the teen by GZ. The pair seemed to move in a fashion suggesting the teen wanted to “get off, get off” and the person on bottom was impeding this action, detaining the teen illegally.

The slight injuries to the back of GZ’s head can be best explained as those of a person who is clinging to the belly of a person who is attempting to crawl away, and got dragged across the sidewalk very briefly. The facial injuries seem to be from running into a tree in the dark. The nose injury is to the exterior of the nose for certain, and debatable about the interior of the nose. Yes, he may have been head-butted while he was illegally detaining the teen. Trayvon had every right to defend himself from an aggressor who chased him with his car and on foot.

Whomever was screaming, why were they yelling? If it was George, he’s admitted several way that he wanted the teen to be restrained. If it’s Trayvon… he was already being detained.

Someone closed a gap. Each and every move Trayvon made brought him closer to home. Every move GZ made, be lied about.

  508. colin black says:

So Family regognition experts up next?

Acording to B Shyster but I think Tracy Martin the n Sabrina next

Tracy to put an end to the foolishness about him saying no

    As oppose to NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

As any one with an ounce of emotion would do

    First stage of GREIF

    DENEIAL…

So Tracy Sabrina an perhaps Trayvons brother Uncle.

  509. YQ says:

With Serino and Mrs. Martin coming up later, I predict a crippling day for the defense, one that they wouldn’t be able to overcome.

  510. Mantei set the stage for Sybrina. Makes sense that she would be the next witness.

  511. colin black says:

Even foggagges sister has a flat effect lights on but no one ocupiido
    Family trait?

  512. smokeegyrl says:

chi, you could be right, that was my intuition as this was unfolding.

  515. ay2z says:

Beautiful summation prompted by Mr. Mantai, as Dr. Nakasone reiterates with good volume to the court and the jury, that no device, software, algorithms, can conclude identification in this case, but that does NOT preclude familial listeners.

Could this force the defense into bringing their own complimentary witness, because the state surely will not call fogen’z family to the stand.

    • smokeegyrl says:

Yes and I so happy about that… because who knows their child screams better then their mother… and must we not forget the denial of those screams in the first two interviews by George Zimmerman saying it was not even his voice.

    • groans says:

Problem is – it could exclude 100% of people for Trayvon, because what similar situation could he have ever been in before?

      • ChrisNY~Laurie says:

A similar situation would be when Tracey was cooking chicken or something and it caught on fire and Trayvon saved his life. I’m sure Trayvon was screaming when that happened.

      • Malisha says:

FEARING something can produce a shriek even if it doesn’t happen. Watching a terrible auto accident will produce that kind of reaction. Our amygdala don’t “THINK” when they fire. So a shriek could occur even if the individual was not, himself, in terrible danger.

        • cielo62 says:

BOTH? did we just hear this witness say ‘BOTH”?

    • gbrbsb says:

Yes, he said basically that in an ideal world the most reliable recognition is if the listener was familiar with both voices.

  537. Rachael says:

    • cielo62 says:

Rachael~ Ok. Let me say something and be forewarned I am NOT a gz supporter, BUT haven’t we all heard our voices played back on tapes or recordings and we say similar things? My voice on tape sounds different than what I think it does inside my head. After doing it several times, you “learn” to “hear” yourself. My voice is SO MUCH MORE melodious in my head than on tape!

I would say the same, neighbor.

        • cielo62 says:

Ms. X~ Thank you. I mean, I could see the defense saying this and I’m afraid it’s something we would have to concede. BUT then it goes onto Step 2: WHO would most logically STOP screaming after the shot?

          ________________________________

      • Malisha says:

Well that’s OK Cielo, BUT Fogen knew when he heard the tape that he was trying to convince Serino that he had been the one screaming. HE KNEW his motive for promoting that myth. So it wasn’t part of his staging to admit the scream wasn’t his; he’s just so dumb he forgot himself for a minute and actually admitted something. DON’T FORGET that when he was being interviewed in the first few days, he had been assured that he had nothing to worry about and would not be charged with a crime so he was not terribly careful about saying stuff that could be used against him; he never expected it would be.

        • cielo62 says:

  538. What was that blank stare from West? He’s such a fool!

Wondering if Sybrina will be able to state, on the stand, she hears additional phrases like “I’m begging you”.

  541. RobertSF says:

Lawyer: Dr. Nakasone, are you saying that you just can’t tell anything at all from a scream?
    Dr. Nakasone: That is correct.

But leave it to Don West to turn that simple question into a 30-minute cross-examination.

    • Malisha says:

You can’t tell anything at all from a scream.
BUT you can tell something from “I’m begging you.”
You can tell something from NO “You’re gonna die tonight MF”
You can tell something from NO “Help me with this guy”
You can tell Fogen’s story is a lie.

  542. SearchingMind says:

The prosecution really played shrewd in calling Dr. Nakasone. Through him they have established that brains familiar with a specific voice are better able to recognize that voice. Jurors will have to weight Tracy Martin and Ms. Fultonā€™s testimonies that the death shriek was uttered by Trayvon against GZā€™s statement: ā€œit doesnā€™t even sound like meā€. Who is more familiar with- and able to recognize GZā€™s voice than GZ himself?

    • groans says:

And weigh Pappa Z’s opinion, too. He’s already testified that it’s CAC’s voice.

      • Unabogie says:

But Zimmerman was estranged from his father. They’ll use that at trial. Not to mention that his father has put out truly bizarre conspiracy theories and accused the NBA of being the “real racists”. I really doubt they put that nutcase on the stand.

  547. ChrisNY~Laurie says:

So, did the Judge allow Dr. N to be defense witness today too or not? I missed what happened after they were at the bench and am lost now with West’s questioning.

    • fauxmccoy says:

either side may call a witness from the combined lists of witnesses. west was clearly not expecting the state to call ‘his’ witness. right now, nakasone is testifying for the state and west is flustered.

    • Malisha says:

West did not get permission to simply use Nakasone NOW as his witness.

  548. fauxmccoy says:

which begs the question, west … who was screaming for their life? i’m guessing kid with gun aimed at chest and coincidentally the one who died.

    • ay2z says:

      Whoo, West just deflated, literally.

    • breelee says:

What I would listen for if a juror: The screaming has no breaks, like it would if you were being hit. Fogen cant say it was him screaming and that he was being hit, that’s a epic fail. Try to scream and slap your face, it would be a interruption in the scream stream. I hope that made sense, I couldn’t think of the right words to use.

      • fauxmccoy says:

        makes perfect sense.

      • Malisha says:

The jury hasn’t read what Fogen said about the incident yet so they don’t know his claiming the death scream is impossible, BUT, we know this: Either he was having his head pounded and face punched and being smothered (and therefore couldn’t be screaming that long, drawn-out, terrified wail) OR he was drawing, aiming to avoid his left hand, and firing his gun (and therefore couldn’t be screaming and had no reason to scream).

It just doesn’t work either way. Period.

  549. Puck says:

When we hear lawyers on TV saying things like the trial is going more favorably for the defense and it looks like Fogen will be acquitted, we have to keep in mind that it’s unlikely that have seen or analyzed the evidence like we have. Do they know about the bullet trajectory? The stretched fabric of the hoodie? DNA results? Phone and text records (let alone the potential content of the texts)? And so on.

    • fauxmccoy says:

one would assume that they are busy enough with their own law practices and have given the evidence dumps a cursory look at best. often times, it’s clear they have not reviewed it at all.

      • Puck says:

Exactly, and they don’t know where the state is going with it, whereas we have a very good idea.

        • Malisha says:

Even without reviewing the evidence any normal person would have to say that the trial is going superbly for the prosecution and horribly for the defense. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist.

    • YQ says:

the only reason why they say this is bc Jeantel’s doesn’t appear to be credible in their opinion, hinging on the fact that the jury is mostly white and can’t identify with her… smh.

But if you’d notice… it seems like every racist idiot who knows how to blog has put their 2 cents into the matter and support the self-defense claim. The bigots are using the internet to sway the public, after witnessing it’s ability to have 2 million petitions signed to arrest Zimmerman. Tit-for-tat.

      • dianetrotter says:

It’s mind blowing how these people seem to have tunnel vision and turn everything to support their prejudiced views. They must justify their whole perception of the AA race.

    • YQ says:

…or even if it were obvious that Zimmerman was going for his gun in that instance, that would make sense why. In the reenactment it appears as if he was raising his jacket, not like the jacket came up on it’s own.

  557. Unabogie says:

I wonder how much this helps the defense? He says that the screams were of a person in great distress. Yet witnesses talked to Zimmerman within one minute of that great distress and he seemed perfectly calm.

So doesn’t that mean it was the dead kid who was screaming?

    • chi1224 says:

Exactly, it’s common sense! Fogen was calm with normal vitals right after!

    • Dee says:

Prosecutors are not crazy they are calling all the defense witness, so they don’t have the shock factor when they are called back by the defense. They had defused the statements that they were going to say for the defense in their questioning. Notice West said, well he is my witness can I just ask him now. And the judge said no, you can call him back as your witnesses. And when he does, it won’t’ be as effective in the ears of the jury because they heard him saying this in the beginning. When you think, you know something, you have the tendency not to want to listen to the same thing again. This to me is a good strategy on the prosecution side.

  558. SearchingMind says:

I think the State is trying to reduce the importance of the death shriek. It makes decision making easier for jurors. They have already introduced evidence that GZ was the aggressor. Thatā€™s HUGE in a case where the defendant is claiming self-defense. GZā€™s fate is almost sealed at this point. When physical, forensic and ballistic evidence come in, the case will be essentially over.

    • Dee says:

Especially when Zimmerman’s own blood is flowing in the direction of how his head was going to the direction that he was on top and not the bottom. Gravity doesn’t lie. That’s good because I even notice how many times she was getting up, you didn’t see her, but when you look back there she was gone. Now they stopped that foolishness. This family is slick all of them. They were probably trying to get what they are going to say together. Glad the court noticed what she was doing.

True, and those morons don’t realize what’s to come– the demonstration of all of Fogen’s lies. That will be crystal clear to the jury and they will KNOW he is guilty.

      yup
      don’t worry
I remember polls that had MCain and Romney winning by landslides

    • groans says:

I hope the defense relies on that – and on blog polls in general.

    • fauxmccoy says:

people hear what they want to hear and any such poll with is not remotely scientific. in fact, statistically speaking, it is meaningless. (yes, us anthropologist get paid to design polls and interpret data. that would be an expert opinion.)

    • Malisha says:

If you poll a bunch of Fogen supporters, you will naturally learn that the defense is winning. There’s no mystery to it. If you poll a bunch of racists, you will learn that most people consider Blacks inferior to whites. No mystery at all.

If there was some doubt about who followed whom, AND some doubt about who got killed and who killed somebody, THEN there could be some serious doubt about who screamed the “death shriek,” couldn’t there? As is, not so much.

  582. smokeegyrl says:

  583. Dee says:

An attorney on TV just said that what they are doing is using the defense witnesses against the defense. To make a jury think that these witnesses were on the prosecution side. So when the defense calls them it will look like their contradicting themselves.

by State, foundation for the familial listerner as best witness to who is speaking or crying.

Two points, a familial listener is NOT someone who has just heard a voice before and recognizes it as ‘heard it before. Nakasone used the analogy of a salesperson who hears voices over the phone a hundred times per day and one caller he recognizes a voice as ‘heard that person before’. That type of listener is classified as ‘NON FAMILIAL listener.

Someone who has heard someone through their life, an many situations, crying, screaming, talking, all their life, is best familial listener and best to identify the speaker.

  587. RobertSF says:

Apparently West is upset and off-balance because Dr. Nakasone was supposed to be a defense witness.

      • Trained Observer says:

      • Unabogie says:

Right. But it’s still very weird. I have to admit I was hoping he called Mr. Osterman, but again, he never mentioned hopping on the phone in any of his statements, and we haven’t heard about this until now.

  610. gbrbsb says:

Ahhh, but there are more than screams on the tape, their are clear utterances like “I’m begging you”.

    • Rachael says:

IMO, that is why trying to do this with a machine won’t work. It requires everything a human can encompass as far as context. Not just analyzing the sounds mathematically, but what is being said and why. The jury will have this to listen to over and over and they will hear it. They will also hear it stop after the gunshot. They will also hear GZ say he was being smothered.

      • gbrbsb says:

The State is certainly going somewhere citing Nakasone to testify, and I am pretty sure it has something to do with Reich’s critical listening analysis but not exactly sure how they want to use it… I mean, could they try to introduce Reich’s word analysis again? All this discussion about blind group tests to eliminate listener bias, that sounds absolutely logical to me, but… bit of a mystery at the moment.

        • Malisha says:

          They still have Tom Owen.
          He used human ear recognition.
This is to pre-qualify the Tom Owen testimony. YAY!!

          • Malisha says:

Oh no I didn’t mean Owen. I meant that other guy, Primeau.

          • gbrbsb says:

Reich did too… “critical listening”. But I suppose it’s too much too hope he could be let back in, or that Owen could be at this time also doing some “critical listening” ?

    • tashatexas77048 says:

I.think this expert is saying the best expert on voice recognition, no matter the circumstance, is the individual. If Zimmerman didn’t recognize the voice on the tape it can only be because it wasnt his.

      • gbrbsb says:

Could be… but I must have missed that. Certainly that GZ didn’t not only not recognise his voice but couldn’t even clarify utterances most people hear such as “I’m begging you” is highly suspect to say the least. And the idiot dug his own grave there because he never says he said anything other than “help” or “help me” and yes, there are several of those on the recording, I have isolated 5 “help” or “help me” you can hear clearly of exactly the same monotonous tone and pitch as per GZ’s exemplar, but below the tone and pitch of the screaming voice.

Even more interesting; it is not possible for a person to be screaming at full lung with a high pitched screeching voice to immediately after call out in a soft monotonous tone, “help me”. Not even a ventriloquist or opera singer, whose voices are trained, could effect that change of tone, pitch, volume, etc. in even a second or two. I isolated the whole recording into relevant small segments and found several instances where on the one hand you have a long heart-wrenching agonising deep down scream and milliseconds later you can hear GZ’s pathetic little voice merely calling, not screaming, calling “help”. That he could do both within these timings is imo physically impossible.

  611. chi1224 says:

Let’s hear it for “speakers”. Ha.

        • jm says:

West and this witness are mental TORTURE. Hopefully the jury feels the same way and tunes out. This is so unnecessary other than to make the jury feel this mumbo-jumbo means the defense knows something they can’t comprehend. More defense smoke and mirrors.

      • Ms.X says:

Ditto me. I can’t imagine him being a teacher. Hes like that guy on the movie Airplane who kept going from passenger to passenger telling his story and each one killed theirself to escape the boredom. I feel like that now.

I also wonder when he will cross the line into contempt of court. He is increasingly argumentative with the judge, bordering on disrespect. Maybe shes scared because of what happened to Lester. I don’t think she’d put up with this from a female or “minority” attorney.

        • chi1224 says:

I don’t think JN is being unfair, I think she is careful not to have any appeal issues from the defense when Fogan is convicted. To me though it seems like she is really getting tired of West and his bullshit!

          • Ms.X says:

I don’t think she being unfair, per se. She has a GREAT amount of patience. I’m saying she’d likely have less with others. I’m also saying its time for her to bring west over for a sidebar regarding his attitude.

        • Malisha says:

I think his plan is to make things SEEM complicated and confusing and ambiguous so the jury just can’t come to any conclusions. They’ll say, “You know, it sounded like Trayvon’s voice and it only makes sense that it WAS Trayvon’s voice but Nakasone said the franarapp might overdeliuntify the algorithm if there was a germandizing illiarump at about 72. You have to consider THAT.”

And then someone on the jury who has an ounce of common sense will respond, “No we don’t. Let’s move on; and stop using slang.”

    • Deborah Moore says:

But, remember, Lots of Rope for West.
I have to have faith that the Prosecution has their ducks in a row, we just have to wait and watch.

This seems to have drawn them all together in opposition to the world.

I don’t know where it started, but this is a classic example of family dysfunction. And it has nothing to do with how many parents are present, level of income, race or divorce.

My own personal set of peeves relate to assumptions that “dysfunctional” families are primarily black, low-income or headed by a single parent. It really has nothing to do with these things, but the overall health of relationships. It is possible even for divorced parents to have healthy relationships and to raise emotionally healthy children.

      • Malisha says:

And Nakasone says you can’t i.d. it because it’s a terrified death shriek. So when Fogen was a teen-ager he used to utter terrified death shrieks? Damn! What were they DOING to that kid when he was a teen-ager? Kinda makes you wonder …

    • KittySP says:

@Ty Flair- but the defense also pressed him to use common sense reasoning that wouldn’t be logical the person on bottom is screaming. State is using Nakasone to say that wouldn’t matter if you aren’t familiar with there speaker’s voice.

  626. chi1224 says:

The problem is Fogen’s lying relatives say it’s him too! And the defense will try to say Trayvon’s dad said it wasn’t him…. I don’t get why he was called by the state

    • The State called him because the defense was going to call him and the State wanted to control how his testimony is presented to the jury.

      • chi1224 says:

Thank you. It seems similar to the state introducing Fogan’s bloody pics.

          • PiranhaMom says:

            @Professor Fred,

Here’s what I think is going down:

The jury will be faced with BOTH families stating “That’s my kid screaming!!!”

            How do they choose?

Based on Nakasone’s expert direction, the jury gets to call THAT choice “a draw” and they get to put it aside and go on to the NEXT (and only remaining) voice factor as to “who is screaming?”

And that decision will be based on: “Would the screamer’s voice go silent at the point that the screamer is shot dead?”

            Yes or no?

Or is it logical to think the shooter, claiming it was HIS voice, to immediately SHUT UP and go silent at the point of gunshot, when in fact, he has made a sworn statement saying “I didn’t know if I really shot him.”

            Yes or no?

By bringing in Nakasone, I believe the state is “funneling” the jurors’ brains into the only direction it can go, to reach this critical decision.

            A. Step #1: Ignore identifying which person is screaming, by the sound of the person’s voice;

            B. Go to step #2, and decide who would have the MOTIVATION to STOP screaming at the point of gunshot.:

            The quick?

            Or the dead?

(Note: “quick” in medieval days when the Bible was translated, meant “alive.”)

            You tell me ….

      • Malamiyya says:

Absolutely brilliant! By making the defense’s case part of the state’s case, they neutralize Nakasone as a witness, they get to cross-examine what he says to the defense, they pre-empt his effectiveness as a defense witness and they leave GZ isolated as the sole author of his own story. He has to testify. How can he testify?

        • Malamiyya says:

Time after time, the larger frame of reference being established by the state leaves the defense nothing to do but drum home beyond any denial what the state has previously established. By making the defense’s case for them, they leave the defense nothing to do but nail the state’s case home.

        • Malamiyya says:

          meant re-direct, not cross-examine

    • Sophia33 says:

But remember initially GZ said it wasn’t him when Serino played the tape. When Serino asked if it was him, GZ said no. When Serino pressed him again, he said, “That doesnt even sound like me”.

That should trump GZ’s lying as family members.

      • Sabrina B. says:

There is so much that stood out with Rachel:

      1. West being told to sit down.
      2. West saying he couldn’t see.
      3. West objecting and trying to intimidate her before he even cross-examined her.
      4. His badgering on cross.

      • cielo62 says:

  629. chi1224 says:

Professor, what is your take on this witness? I am so curious as to where this is going….

    • Malisha says:

Nakasone is FBI. FBI is Justice. Justice is evaluating this case to come to a conclusion about the institutionalized racism, or lack of institutionalized racism, of the SPD. Prosecution does not want Justice to nail SPD. Thus FBI is cooperating with Prosecution in making Fogen look as bad as HE is without making SPD look as bad as IT IS. It’s a carefully choreographed pas-de-trois here.

I think he is going to say as he did in the Frye hearing:

ā€œThe screaming was not normal ā€“ it was pretty much uttered by someone who was facing probably imminent threat of death,ā€ he said. ā€œVery difficult to analyze.ā€

Like if someone pulled a gun and was getting ready to fire it!

  636. ChrisNY~Laurie says:

I’m confused, are the experts allowed to testify as long as they don’t give their opinion on who is screaming?

    • groans says:

The judge’s order did not prohibit Dr. Nakasone from testifying, IIRC.

    • Dave says:

Only Owen’s and Reich’s testimony have been banned.

    • ChrisNY~Laurie says:

Oh, thanks. I was hoping that the defense would have put a Doctor on first thing this morning to talk about broken noses and other injuries to prove Fogen’s injuries were minor and prove the the PA on Friday can not look at pictures and say that dried blood is an abrasion or that lumps on a head is from an injury when they don’t know what the natural shape of the head is. Ridiculous that she would say any of that crap based on a photo.

      • lurker says:

She pretty much said that, however, she is plainly not a forensically-trained expert. She agreed to the possibility that the lumps were contusions (although they could also just be the normal geography of the head) and further that contusions result from external trauma.

She did finally get around to saying that drawing conclusions from photos was pretty iffy.

  637. fauxmccoy says:

how many hands does dr. nakasone have?

good morning internet family! internet problems resolved and back in the saddle. HLN is a poor excuse for trial coverage.

  638. Nellie Nell says:

I just can not figure out why this “expert” keeps saying that the recording of the screams is poor when I can hear them loud and clear and I am far from a freaking “expert”?!?!?! WTH

    • Rachael says:

      smh

    • Dee says:

I agree you can tell a ”death cry” from a cry from a fight. And with two small cuts on Z head surly wasn’t coming from a death cry. The only one dead is Trayvon. I can’t understand this at all.

  639. After removing the stepped-on portion of the background scream, only about 3 seconds is left to analyze.

  640. Thanks Mantei for breaking it down so that I could understand what Nakasone’s analysis (or as my grandpa used to say, putting it where the goats can get it). šŸ™‚

  641. ada4750 says:

Maybe also the prosecution want to mitigate the future Zimmerman’s family testimony and the fact that Tracy martin was not sure the first time.

Also, maybe to calm jury wonders why voice analysis was not provide.

  642. Sabrina B. says:

Are they going to get him to say it is not George’s voice?

  643. Human brain is better suited to identify a far field voice than a computer.

    • Rachael says:

      AMEN!!

    • You all have thoughtful comments says:

Yes, our brains have natural computer ability.

      • Rachael says:

Well I kind of prefer to think of it as our brains have abilities that computers don’t. In my experience with voice – the human brain analyzes a much greater context of just the sound that a computer would analyze .

        • You all have thoughtful comments says:

Yes, just think of all the calculations that our brains use when we shoot a basketball at the basket or place a tennis ball when we hit or serve the ball.

      • fauxmccoy says:

in fact, a computer can only do what a human brain tells it to do (for the most part). it can simply process faster, but it’s abilities are limited.

    • Malisha says:

Brilliant. Nakasone’s testimomy means that the Jayne S testimony becomes even more significant. SHE HEARD TRAYVON SCREAMING BEFORE BEING SHOT.

  644. Sabrina B. says:

It doesn’t preclude human listening, just machine.

  645. jo says:

why does it keep cutting out? anyone else have the same problem?

  646. Stormwatch says:

Heard O’Mara telling the press over the weekend that he is not sure yet whether he will put his client on the stand. He has no intention whatsoever of putting his client on the stand.

    • Dee says:

Can the state call him to the stand?

    • Girlp says:

He may not want to but they may not have a choice in the end, there are questions only George can answer and if they remain unanswered he may not have a chance this is a wait and see. If the defense feels they have created enough reasonable doubt they are better off not putting George on the stand but if they have to IMO that’s the end George is going to prison period. George gave BLDR plenty to throw at him. IMO we don’t know yet if George will take the stand.

  647. chi1224 says:

Back at the Frye hearing Dr. N said this:
He said because the screaming voice was affected by distress or emotion, there was no way to compare it to “reasonable, natural speech and come up with correct answers.”

“The screaming was not normal – it was pretty much uttered by someone who was facing probably imminent threat of death,” he said. “Very difficult to analyze.”

Fogen was NOT facing “imminent threat of death”

  648. Tzar says:

    I can’t take it

  649. KittySP says:

Yes, that was real cocky of Mr. Don. Mantei had smirk on his face.

  650. Rachael says:

    I HATE MR. WEST!!!!

    • disappointed says:

Me too, and Fogen, fogen family, MOM and anyone who defends a child killer.

    • FactsFirst says:

I don’t hate Pest.. I hate his ways.. But I do NOT hate him… He aint even worth my hate.. but it woudn’t spit on him if he was on fire either… just saying

      • FactsFirst says:

“I wouldn’t spit on Pest/West if he was on fire either”

        ugh.. excuse my typo’s y’all..

    • type1juve says:

      co-sign

  651. Dee says:

Do you think that Zimmerman will have to take the stand?

  652. Dr. Nakasone is going to explain why it isn’t possible to identify the person who screamed using a machine.

The State is putting him on so that the jury will not speculate about why no expert was presented.

    • Sophia33 says:

I see. Thank you for the explanation!

    • Tzar says:

      damn, is that it? šŸ˜¦

    • Dee says:

Professor, help me with this, and why they are not noticing this on this picture. If you look at Z head the way, the blood is flowing toward his cheeks lets you know that he was on top of T. If he was on the bottom the blood would be pooled in the middle of his head. And once he stood up gravity would have brought the blood down the back of his neck. His own blood is going to put him in jail. ”gravity” don’t lie. Why are they not focusing on this as well, as much as the defense has show his bloody head why?

      • Rachael says:

It’s not over yet. Remember, this trial could take up to a month, it isn’t even halfway over yet.

        • abbyj says:

Rachael, Thanks for the note of encouragement. I’d hate to see this thing go south and that murdering pig to walk.

    • gbrbsb says:

Yeah, sounds the most likely. I wonder if the State will also try to get Nakasone to confirm that neither machine or a person could affirm bard that there are not two or more voices screaming and yelling on the appropriate parts of the recording… imo that would go a long way to the jury understanding that there is not only one voice and that one could be crying out simple “help” (help to restrain the “suspect”) while another could be screaming full out for his life!

    • Sophia33 says:

Professor what is your guess as to what the state hopes to glean from Dr. Nakasone?

      • gbrbsb says:

My guess is he is trying to get him to confirm that aural listening is also a recognised speaker recognition technique but as Reich’s opinion has been barred I am not sure what he hopes to gain, except if he wants to go on words ! Quite strange really. Did you notice how the defence was oh so keen for Nakasone to be accepted as a witness… the State must surely have something up their sleeve here ?

Good morning, those photos were shocking. So obviously a young, fresh faced kid. No matter what the damage to poor stalker, Trayvon had a right to fight to get away.

GZ said it in his statement, “He fled”.

“He fled” And the circling that never, couldn’t have, happened was another of his web spinning to make Trayvon look like he was setting up a trap in the darkness. Without a weapon, with can in his sweater pocket, with ear buds in and phone on.

  683. MedicineBear says:

  684. smokeegyrl says:

  685. Sophia33 says:

I wish they could make GZ shave his head. I think he just has a lumpy head.

    • Rachael says:

      Yep

    • ay2z says:

A good thick layer of fat will diminish any bumps. The fat also makes his face look larger, his nose smaller by comparison, and especially smaller compared to any photos.

    • SearchingMind says:

I am CERTAIN those lumps are part of GZ’s natural head shape. That why I was fuming when O’Mara claimed they were swelling while GZ sat there like a potted plant.

    • Nellie Nell says:

Me too. Every time they show his ass, I want them to zoom in to that lumpy lump. I can swear I have seen the fat pocket on the nape of his neck even with the hair.

    • Malisha says:

Who CARES what’s on his head or the condition of his nose. If you chase down an unarmed kid and assault him, you might get boo-boos. Nobody guarantees you can go kill your target without getting a bump or a bruise. If you want THAT guarantee, FIRST get your ass onto the police force and THEN you can shoot from a distance after first shouting: “FREEZE!” like in the movies.

      • abbyj says:

Malisha, the reason GZ never shouted, “FREEZE!” or bothered to identify himself as with the NEN, is because he wanted to pump a bullet into Trayvon. He wanted to blow a huge hole in Trayvon chest, crush Trayvon’s chest, and cause him to die immediately before the police arrived. The police were literally 20-30 seconds away, but it was a risk GZ couldn’t afford. GZ had a thousand options as to how to handle the situation, and he chose every single step that moved him toward that one goal of blowing out Trayvon’s guts.

  686. Sophia33 says:

Why are they putting the photos up like this?

  687. disappointed says:

Tzar the photo on last thread of Trayvon did look altered. Trayvon’s nose looked like GZ minus blood. It looked weird to me.

      • Puck says:

        • elcymoo says:

I think my computer must just have issues with the NBC site. I ran into the same problem a couple of times last week.

WFTV played a comment from Shaeffer from Friday – he said that the defense team has to be concerned that John Good said that it looked like GZ might have been able to escape, and that meant he didn’t have to use deadly force. He said the defendant’s going to have to take the stand.

          • cielo62 says:

            B. Scaheffer is a dildo who has waffled on that question all week last week. I don’t listen to him anymore.

          • Malisha says:

I think Shaeffer just keeps saying things he thinks nobody else has said first or is likely to say, so he can give the impression that he is ready to issue some new, exciting, exclusive. It’s just a technique.

Dang, it’s early (9:30 PST) and there’s already 905 posts! So I’m posting this at the top so everyone can see it and go on over to moveon.org and sign the petition.

Subject: Stand with Rachel Jeantel: And Put Bullies On Notice

The bullies came out in force last week as Rachel Jenteal, a 19 year old teenager from Miami , FL , gave testimony in the murder trial of George Zimmerman. The neighborhood watch captain stands accused in last year’s shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin. Born into a multicultural home where English is not her first language, Rachel spoke in the language of her community, recounting her cellphone conversation with Trayvon, not knowing that moments later, his life would tragically end. Why, then, has Rachel suffered such vicious, personal attacks?

That’s why I signed a petition to Roderick Vereen, Esq., Attorney Representing Rachel Jeantel.
