Are thousands of people going to protest Zimmerman trial

Monday, May 20, 2013

Good afternoon:

According to Local Channel 10, court administrators for the Seminole County Circuit Court have been working with the Sanford Police Department to set-up designated areas for protesters to occupy during the Zimmerman trial.

Designated zones will be set up for protestors to guarantee business at the courthouse will be uninterrupted.

Court administrators said they are finalizing the plans and will release them publicly once the chief judge signs the order.

“I think they’re doing the right thing to be proactive in case there is an emotional outbreak,” said Ray Sands, a central Florida resident.

The Sanford Police Department has been preparing for months, but the department was so heavily criticized for its handling of the shooting investigation, they are hesitant to talk preparations publicly.

People like Carmen Colon says they should.

“So people can be aware of what’s going to happen,” Colon said.

While police won’t address plans, they have to be prepared for the worst. Online extremists are asking for thousands of people to show up at the trial to protest.

“Everybody is expecting the trial, so I hope everything is in peace and there is no problem,” Colon said.

I have to admit that I had not given much thought to the possibility of protesters attending the trial and I am not aware that “online extremists are asking for thousands of people to show up at the trial to protest.”

Just so the record is clear, I am not calling for protests or urging anyone to protest. Like everyone else seeking justice for Trayvon, I want the defendant to have a fair trial with due process of law. So far as I can tell, that is going to happen. Therefore, I do not have a reason to protest.

Although I will not attend the trial, I will be watching it via livestream and reporting on what is happening.

I do not monitor pro-defendant websites because they lack substantive content. I know that some of you occasionally do visit.

Have any of you seen requests “for thousands of people to show up at the trial to protest?”

I would not be surprised if a large crowd gathers to await the verdict.

What do you all think?

Response to today’s ignorant headlines that state new defense discovery shows ‘new’ photos.

BTW, the discovery documents are not yet listed with the court clerk.

New???? How did LLMPapa get the photos for his great little exposé of the lie about the degree, and the years since, and still no two year degree, as ‘evidenced’ by all smiles for grad picture to support the big lie that falsifies (without correction by completing the requirements) an academic credential.

    • Malisha says:

Rene Stutzman says that he was kicked out after the killing Trayvon Martin because of safety concerns. That is incorrect. He simply DID NOT graduate (although he celebrated his “graduation” as if he had) and would not have been awarded a degree even had he not killed anybody; what the school did in kicking him out was to prevent him from returning to re-do those courses he failed and thus prevent him from completing the degree he pretended he had already earned.

NOTE: He did not sue the school. Therefore, even Fogen and his bonker-lawyers and his groupie “journalist” could not have managed to fix their faces to say: “That just happened because of racism against decent American Afro-Peruvians.”

Think of it: Had they kicked him out even though he had earned a degree, citing “safety” as their reason, and thus denied him the fruits of all his studies for NO REASON although he was innocent and was being railroaded — he would have had a multi-million dollar case.

  2. Did you see the photos O’Mara published of Trayvon at the 7-11? He wants to create an image of a big, very black and scary Trayvon Martin for potential jurors to show Zimmerman had reason to fear. I see you Mark ‘OMara. You’re a despicable human being.

    • ay2z says:

But too bad, the hoodie photo they include was taken with proper adequate lighting, shows a much lighter grey than I’d imagined.

Not at all the black, tall undefined, wide angle skew shown by the local media’s reproductions of the store video version.

    • Lonnie Starr says:

I don’t see MOM’s point, if the jury were to see his picture and then have to compare it to the pictures they will be shown by the prosecution, who are they going to believe? The SP who is able to back everything up with evidence, or a defense who merely blows hot air and windmills with it’s hands?

Without their own witnesses, these stories they’re trying to tell are never going to get before the jury. Instead the defense will be reduced to trying to badger and bully prosecution witnesses. At the start of the trial, that will seem interesting, since it portends to lead somewhere. However, after several witnesses and several days, and this bulling and badgering leads nowhere, the jury tires of it. A few more times and the jury get’s angry. Finally the jury realizes that there is simply no defense, just as we do.

I think MOM’s act has already gotten racists so demoralized that they don’t even desire to mount the effort to get on the jury, they’re turning their backs on gz, since they have no faith that he can put on any defense. MOM is only driving that point home with his irrelevant offers and ridiculous machinations.

IF Trayvon had been smoking weed outside on a porch at Brandy’s place, neighbors would know from the smoke smell that someone was smoking in that area. Someone like fogen could know first or second hand.

Had he seen Trayvon smoking anything somewhere that night, he couldn’t use that in his story, and wouldn’t have a particular answer to ‘why on drugs?’ from Serino. He would have to fudge it, and just add the ‘he’s on drugs’ to his NEN call for reason of suspicion.

Couldn’t say he was following him back onto RTL grounds, saw him with a smoke earlier on.

hat might be what the defense will use in some convoluted fashion, to legitimize fogen following.

I want to know if anyone with a good olfactory sense, could smell pot smoke in the damp jacket (dampness can enhance and hold scent. And to when Trayvon may last have smoked pot, was there any level of THC or other smoke components in a residue test of Trayvon’s mouth, or on his finger tips?

Demonizing and criminalizing and thugifying continues.

    • racerrodig says:

It’s a fact that water or water movement tones down and / or hides smells entirely…it was raining. When I peel and cut onions, I run cold water and it knocks the odor down quite a bit.

I doubt Fogen would have smelled any residual pot smell…..

Wait Duhhhhhh there was the smallest traces of THC, so Bernie will “smoke” Fogens team on that one.

    • Lonnie Starr says:

Even this toxicologist, after trying to say that Trayvon may have smoked MJ that night, goes on to say that it could also have been days earlier and merely leaves out the opinion that it could also be the result of Trayvon merely walking through an area where people were smoking. Thus, unless they can come up with someone who can say that they were there with Trayvon and smoking, this whole thing is an exercise in futility and prejudicial without being probative.

Apparently MOM and West think that having some one willing to say they sold Trayvon MJ is going to be a big addition to their case. What case? Whether or not Trayvon had, obtained, smoked or even sold MJ has nothing to do with proving the charges against the defendant. It is not a material element that either proves or disproves the charge, all it does is create inconclusive negative innuendo that proves absolutely nothing at all, save that if Trayvon did smoke, he’s highly unlikely to be an attacker, because the drug acts counter to aggression.

Which is why I ask if MOM is trying to get gz convicted? Because once he puts this idea before the jury, BDLR will simply have his expert explain that the drug is a counter aggressive, thus, if the defense claims were true, and they can’t be proven, but if they were true, then gz is the only aggressive read actor at the scene. He’s angry, he’s armed and he’s dangerous. According to his story he has had no dinner, nothing to eat, not invited to eat by any of his “friends”, and without money, facing eviction and repo of his truck.
His phone was on a pre paid scheme, so, without funds that would soon be cut off too.

There are many important clues on this document and I’m not going to go into them all here, just noting that to me this is a keystone piece of evidence.

    • racerrodig says:

I guess Exhibit N is the one that breaks the case wide open. And how does being able to walk with the class, despite not actually graduating, figure into this……Oh, it proves he’s a fraud from the jump…..sorry, my bad.

  4. Defense attorneys release scores of photos, preparing for George Zimmerman trial

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/trayvon-martin/os-george-zimmerman-trial-photos-20130522,0,5366897.story

Defense attorneys have just released scores of new photos as they prepare for the George Zimmerman second-degree murder trial, including new photos of the clothes he and Trayvon Martin wore the night they got into a fight and Zimmerman killed the teenager.

Those new photos were taken by Zimmerman’s defense team in August at a state crime lab. They show pieces of evidence after they had been analyzed, including the bullet hole in the hoodie Trayvon wore and the gun Zimmerman used.

Many of the photos were released last year, including some from the night of the shooting. They include now-iconic photos that show Zimmerman with a bloody nose and blood on the back of his head.

Five of the photos show Trayvon about an hour before the shooting as the 17-year-old bought Skittles and a soft drink at a 7-Eleven.

Some of the photos appear to support Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense. For example, photos taken at the Sanford police station that night after he’s been cleaned up by paramedics show a cut across the bridge of his nose and several areas of redness – perhaps abrasions – on the back and sides of his head.

One of the right side of his head, shows six areas of discoloration.

But police close-ups of Zimmerman’s hands show no evidence of cuts or scrapes, something you might expect on someone who had just been in a fight.

The photos are part of a set of evidence that defense attorneys late yesterday released to prosecutors, notifying them that they may be used at Zimmerman’s trial, which is scheduled to begin June 10 in Sanford.

Among the new photos are two that show Zimmerman in cap and gown at a graduation ceremony at Seminole State College. School records show that although he went through the ceremony, he did not graduate because he failed an astronomy class in the fall of 2011.

    • ay2z says:

areas pf discoloration. There are several that are wiped bloodm not bruising. Could be from fogen himself putting his hands up there and mucking about for whatever reason.

    • ay2z says:

And note in the cap and gown photo, there is a big sign in the auditorium over his head, that reads ‘Champion or Champions’ three times. Some champion, but kinda a nice touch it’s there, for fogen, isn’t it. Champion with cap gown and no 2 year degree, what a faker because he still hasn’t got that degree, maybe he sould have applied once (if) one more qualifying course was completed instead of pretending he had the 2 year associates. He implied he had accomplished an academic qualification that he did not have, while continuing for his bachelors.

      • If he’ll lie about a degree or money, he’ll certainly lie about murder.

      • Rachael says:

        Yes SG2, absolutely.

        • racerrodig says:

BDLR “..ok Mr. Fogen, this picture shows you at graduation, correct”

          Fogen “…um….yes”

BDLR “But in fact you never did graduate, or earn enough credits, I should say….in fact, it was out of the goodness of their hearts, they let you walk with the class, correct?”

          Fogen “……..um…….I wasn’t……um…..”

BDLR “in fact, you spent over seven years and didn’t pass, correct?”

          Fogen “…….see…….my wife, um….”

BDLR “….so, in effect, this picture, which you have as a defense exhibit, clearly shows you’re a liar and a fraud, no matter what we’re talking about……..correct??”

          Moron O’ Mara “Objection”

Judge Nelson “Grounds ?? it is the defense exhibit counselor”

O’ Mara “I object that my clients a liar, er, he wanted to use that pic. er, object to his answer, that is…………”

          Judge Nelson “Overruled”

          O’ Mara “Damn”

Judge Nelson “What was that ??”

          • Lonnie Starr says:

Hahaha…. good, very good. I especially like “…um… my wife…” hahaha.

          • racerrodig says:

I can’t figure out how to get the answer to this question, though: Is the defense planning to use the “bloody head cell phone picture” that was allegedly snapped of the back of Fogen’s head while he was at the crime scene, only minutes after having killed Trayvon Martin, and in which photo he appears to be speaking on a cell phone he is holding up to his right ear?

O’Mara had commented at the time that ABC aired that picture (having “received” it) that he was not sure IF or HOW the defense was going to use it.

        b) Trayvon was simply around people who smoked, thus inhaling second hand smoke

I believe West can get in trouble for that, because it is false presentation of information, as the toxicology report says different than what he claims, and a scientist will know more than West

I’ve seen MOM, West and gz swaying in court, does this mean that they were all under the influence of drugs? Wow! Talk about desperate moves.

        • Xena says:

@Lonnie Starr. West talks like he’s tied one on before appearing in court. In one of GZ’s jailhouse calls to Papa Zim, Papa Zim sounded like he was drunk.

    • Jun says:

Actually they have DNA samples of Fogen from the night of the incident. The state can counter back with that toxicology report on Fogen. Besides that, it will not help them at all. There was a case where this Fogen like guy pulled a gun on some teenage kids and claimed they were smoking weed. The mother came, picked up the teenage kids and called the cops on the guy who brandished the gun. The guy who brandished the gun told the same song and dance in court and that guy got convicted of aggravated assault with a firearm. It’s already been decided in law that suspicion of marijuana possession or use, in Florida, does not give you the right to attack and threaten the people whom you suspect of marijuana possession or use, as in the example I gave, which is actual Florida case law. I do not remember the name of the case though.

      • Rachael says:

They don’t have a toxicology report on GZ though. DNA samples are not the same thing. Not even sure that they can do a drug test on his hair because they can only go back as far as the hair goes and if this is not the hair he had at that time…

      • cielo62 says:

Jun~ I don’t think they took any blood samples. That would have identified the medications in gz’s system. A buccal swab will only identify his DNA but not any foreign substances in his system.

  10. Lord Have Mercy…

Defense attorneys: Jurors at George Zimmerman trial should hear about Trayvon’s pot use

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/trayvon-martin/os-george-zimmerman-trial-marijiana-20130521,0,2409628.story

Trayvon Martin brought marijuana with him to Sanford from South Florida, according to new paperwork filed Monday by George Zimmerman’s attorney, and used it at least once before he was killed.

Two weeks ago, prosecutors filed paperwork asking Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson to ban defense attorneys and witnesses from telling jurors that blood samples taken from Trayvon during his autopsy tested positive for marijuana use.

Defense attorney Don West Monday filed his written response: That information is relevant, so jurors should know about it.

Nelson will likely rule on it during a day-long hearing May 28 in Sanford.

According to West’s three-page response, a state toxicologist, Dr. Bruce Goldberger, determined that the amount of marijuana in Trayvon’s system was enough to cause some impairment, although not enough to get him arrested for DUI, had he been behind the wheel of a car.

Trayvon may have used marijuana a couple of hours before his death or longer if he were an occasional or regular user, West quoted Goldberger as saying.

In addition, West wrote that attorneys have learned that Trayvon brought marijuana with him from South Florida to Sanford a few days before his shooting and used it at least once during his stay there.

All of that is relevant, West wrote, because Zimmerman told a police dispatcher shortly before shooting Trayvon that he believed the Miami Gardens teenager was suspicious and may have been on drugs.

West also wrote that in a 7-Eleven security video taken about an hour before the fatal confrontation, Trayvon appears to sway while standing at the checkout counter.

At the time, Trayvon was serving a 10-day suspension because school officials had found an empty marijuana baggie in his backpack.

Zimmerman is the 29-year-old former Neighborhood Watch volunteer charged with second-degree murder in Trayvon’s death.

The defendant says he acted in self-defense when he shot the high school junior Feb. 26, 2012.

On another matter, West also asked the judge to make a state audio expert reduce the amount of money he’s demanding. Tom Owen wants $3,300 before he’ll agree to sit for a deposition.

West wrote that that’s an unreasonable fee and asked the judge to reduce it to $250 to $400 per hour. He predicted the deposition would last two hours.

Owen told the Orlando Sentinel last year that he believed the voice crying for help in the background of a 911 call was not George Zimmerman.

    • racerrodig says:

What proof do they have Trayvon brought anything to Sanford….I’d be on the phone with Mr. Crump about now. Proof, freaking proof, of which there is none.

      They are beyond despicable.

      • Chronic?……How do minute amounts equal “chronic” user?

DUDE….CHRONIC?……U could get high on one of my farts…

Remember this is Colorado and I have my red card for pain management……..

        • racerrodig says:

He cites no source nor proof of ant pot being brought with him. Gee, sounds like a Fogen probable cause investigatio9n.

      • Rachael says:

So what if he had? What does that have to do with GZ shooting him? So they tied this in with he looks like he is on drugs? Since when is it okay to shoot someone who “looks” like they are on drugs any more than it is okay to shoot someone who “looks” suspicious?

And for that matter, what about GZ, he sounded like he was up to no good (going after azzles and *oons) and sounded like he was on drugs.

        Give me a break!!!!!

I don’t care if Trayvon was high as a kite. It still does not make it okay for GZ to “go in the same direction” and shoot him.

        • racerrodig says:

They’re just digging a better grave. Sundance Crackpot probably told them to get back on the pot issue. Whooptee Dooo. It won’t be allowed in….

    • Xena says:

@SG2. So,let me see if I understand West’s logic. If Trayvon was “on drugs or something,” then it proves GZ killed Trayvon in self-defense?!?!?!?

And, if the defense thinks that is relevant, then what stops the prosecution from presenting all of GZ’s prescription drugs and their side-effects which may have effected his taking unauthorized authority to follow someone who he believed was “on drugs or something?

      • boyd says:

Yeah. And a “may” without a witness to testify, is their personal speculation.

          • racerrodig says:

I see where this is going……they’ll have a drug dealer from Miami testify as an expert witness that he sold pot, a 3/4 ton truck load to Trayvon just for the trip up north. Yep, Tony “Hard Core” Cementhead just off a 20 year stint, just got that big score for Trayvon. Black Dynamite Slim decided to smoke it all, that weekend. Rat bastards

          • Xena says:

@racerrodig. Yep. Or maybe there’s an Afro-Peruvian who deals between Sanford and Miami who will testify that he sold it to Trayvon. You know, the Afro-Peruvians who have comedy&tragedy tattoos.

          • racerrodig says:

I’m thinking that party now / serve time later tattoo was a dad idea about now.

        • Lonnie Starr says:

He’s asking the judge to lower the experts fees. Some lawyer eh? Doesn’t he realize that he’s asking the judge to effectively take personal property rights away from a person not being charged or convicted of any crime?

The expert is merely in possession of skills that allow him to make a valuable opinion. The judge will find no foundation for an order to confiscate his work product or lower his fees. Of course, maybe West thinks he can get the judge to order his favorite restaurant to lower the price of his meals? Man’s a laughingstock!

      • Shari says:

That was my exact response. Does Fogen really want to go there. Was he drinking that night? He sounded drunk to me. How much adderal (amphetamine) + Temazepam was in his system?

        • Xena says:

          @Shari. Agreed.

The Feign Team is opening a can of worms for GZ. It makes GZ appear much more aggressive in getting out of his vehicle exposing his physical being to a person “on drugs or something.” Also, GZ will need to testify why he could not get a physical advantage over a person so chemically impaired that they couldn’t walk straight.

        • racerrodig says:

” Does Fogen really want to go there” He will because….

      • Rachael says:

@ Xena “Also, GZ will need to testify why he could not get a physical advantage over a person so chemically impaired that they couldn’t walk straight.”

      • Jun says:

Remember guys, they have DNA samples from Fogen on that night. They can easily rebuttal with a toxicology on Fogen’s dna of that night. They also have Fogen’s medication list.

    • boyd says:

wow, the pot is a huge cornerstone of their defense.

It’s was not enough to be meaningful. not even a DUI. Considering the number of people who smoke , and the states liberalizing pot smoking. It wil likely backfire badly

It also brings into focus George’s prescription drugs and their warning labels and what’s George on now. any medicine changes and why.

    • ladystclaire says:

Have these Imbeciles ever thought that, Trayvon may have been listening to music on his phone, before his call from DeeDee if he did indeed sway while at the counter paying for his purchases? it’s such a damn shame that these idiot attorneys have chosen to desecrate this child’s character in order to save this clown from a fate which he brought upon himself.

It’s so obvious that, he doesn’t have a defense so, why not put the victim on trial. SMDH

      • Xena says:

@ladystclaire. I’ve watched that 7-Eleven video numerous times, and not once did I see Trayvon sway.

      • Rachael says:

Have you seen the one where dimwattman says how the clerk is “profiling” Trayvon?

I’m with you. I don’t see him swaying. Oh they might show the video and say, “see, see” so those of weak minds will see something that isn’t there, but I never saw it before and I never saw whatever it is that dimwattman sees the clerk in the store doing throughout the video. Just people trying to make people see things that aren’t there.

      • Rachael says:

Yeah – true. He made that video before the cops interviewed the clerk. But it was SO outrageous.

        • racerrodig says:

I’ll stand by the clerk who said in his statements and deposition that Trayvon was not suspicious and he didn’t even remember him.

      • Rachael says:

Just for the heck of it, I looked up how much it costs for an expert witness – here is the very first one that came up, so I haven’t really researched it – but it is kind of interesting:

        http://blog.seakexperts.com/expert-witness-fees-how-much-does-an-expert-witness-cost/

        • racerrodig says:

That;s pretty close to what I use as a guide. The average bill from 1st interview at the lawyers office to the last minute of my work is between 3500 & 5000. I do find every bit of fraud however and OPCO always tries to find an angle to prevent my report and testimony from being used, That has yet to happen, and word is around the court house that I take no shit from the lawyers.

        • Lonnie Starr says:

gz will be best served by the cheapest expert that can be found on the planet. I suggest someone found in a homeless shelter or living under a bridge. There’s no need to waste any money on an expert when the evidence in opposition is overwhelmingly clear and convincing and from the defendants own mouth to boot!

    • I honestly believe this is only important because the defense is trying to say TM will grow up to be a worthless n—-r so he’s better off dead, defense. This might work on ONE juror in Florida. Their use of this is acknowledgement that their defense is completely absent of exculpation(is that a word?)

    • Big Willie says:

Okay so Skeltor has proven he can write bull….. faster than he talks. Fogen along with Ma West are going to burn and rot in hell!

    • Jun says:

It’s a bunch of horse shit

I have seen defense lawyers try to use that against a witness in the “Comic Book Shop Murders” and the jury felt that the defense lawyer was using irrelevant shit

Besides, it does not absolve Fogen from murder nor give him the right to murder, based on suspicion of marijuana use or possession as already shown by Florida case law

Another defendant tried to claim some teenagers were smoking pot when he pulled a gun on them, and gave that as a reason, and the jury found him guilty of aggravated assault with a firearm, despite his protests of marijuana use

Nobody really cares anymore about weed, and most people have used it or have friends that used it and they simply did not care if they did or not

George Bush, George Washington, Bill Clinton, Barack, all smoked weed and no one cared all that much

I doubt it will be allowed in because it is a waste of court time, as there will be people arguing on both sides as to the truth of the matter

The fact remains, the level was really low where the kid could have smoked it “a few weeks ago” as numerous experts have stated (with the exception of West’s claimed expert) or Trayvon could have been around people who smoked it and he inhaled second hand smoke, hence the low level of THC

After that, the state can bring in all of Fogen’s prescription drug use against him, as well as use their DNA samples taken from him that night on rebuttal because Fogen was on psychoactive drugs

      • Rachael says:

Psychoactive drugs may have altered his DNA?

      • Jun says:

To take DNA samples, they have to take a piece of Fogen, such as blood, saliva, hairs, etc

There is a possibility they can do readings on it for drugs

        • fauxmccoy says:

          jun says

no, not from a dried out old q-tip, they can’t.

    • Cercando Luce says:

Trayvon appears to sway in 7-11? HAH! Another attempt to sway potential jurors.

    • Lonnie Starr says:

The tox experts after the autopsy have spoken, the level of THC in Trayvon’s system could, just as easily have been due to him walking through an area were people were using MJ. So these claims are fictitious because they cannot give a definitive answer.

All of which is besides the fact, smoking MJ would not give gz the right or need to shoot to kill. MJ does not make a person combative, just the opposite, it makes them pleasant and prevents them from recognizing danger or being sensitive to frightening behavior of others.

All of which are the exact opposite of the effects the defense is trying to imply. Since the defense is showing signs of extreme desperation, it is likely that any non-probative or otherwise inconclusive material they should discover, will be misused, motion is hereby made to exclude the defense attorneys from appearing in court during the trial. They will be allowed to present their case, after the courtroom is empty and everyone has gone home. 😆

      • racerrodig says:

Looks like Moron O & Co. failed that class.

        • Lonnie Starr says:

No more donations now that they remember “undisputed broken nose”, they have no reason to believe MOM anymore, now that the immunity hearing is gone after a year of him telling them how easily it could be aced by gz, before they “strategically” waived it.

I want to see how MOM handles the “strategic” guilty verdict, and the “victorious” sentencing that follows. 😆

          • racerrodig says:

The Moron man will be on HLN tonight. They’re claiming Fogen sent e-mails to every resident weeks before the murder telling everyone to be on the look out for black males, late teens suspected of burglaries. Seems like they’re making this up on the fly to me.

          • Lonnie Starr says:

There’s a third defense supplemental out of Trayvon’s text and some photos. In my off hand opinion this is smelly, I’ll guess it’s been doctored.

I don’t see this as Trayvon’s personality, it doesn’t fit. What it does fit is TCTH wish list. Because it is still just prejudicial and none of it is probative or material. gz cannot claim that it was alright to follow Trayvon because he knew he was a thug, because there are laws against him doing that, because he hasn’t the authority to interfere with anyone’s movements, whether they lived in RATL or not.

          • racerrodig says:

A picture of a hand holding a gun and pot growing….they don’t even say where those pictures came from.

If any of it were true, we’d have known long ago.

          • Lonnie Starr says:

Even if some of this stuff was relevant MOM still couldn’t get it into the trial because there’s no way to substantiate who wrote it, less what it actually means. There’s plenty of proof that much of what was texted was untrue/exaggerations, so there’s no way to interpret it all, other than guess work. Who hasn’t lent someone their phone?

MOM has done none of the ground work needed to even show that this stuff has any certain meaning, less who may have wrote it for what purpose and that’s even before we get to the question of relevance and/or materiality. O’Haha need to get himself a white, large polka dot jumpsuit with ruffled color and wristlets, face paint, red nose and size 38 shoes to be ready in time for court on June 10th. Oh, and let’s not forget 3 sets of clean underwear, socks and a new toothbrush for gz!

          • fauxmccoy says:

lonnie – thank you for that article, oddly, it is precisely the argument i have been making since the beginning (that zimmerman’s actions consisted of assault from the moment the two encountered each other in person).

people are often confused between assault and battery – that is zimmerman apologists say that martin assaulted zimmerman which is where his wounds occurred. i am not going to venture to guess where the wounds originated, but if they originated from martin that would be battery, not assault. if the assault occurred first, which all discovery indicates, then martin did indeed have the right to defend himself.

assault is to threaten; battery is to beat. i wish more folks understood the difference.

          • cielo62 says:

Lonnie- great article! I especially love how she use very little evidence and logically came to a guilty verdict.

            Sent from my iPod

    • Lonnie Starr says:

According to West’s three-page response, a state toxicologist, Dr. Bruce Goldberger, determined that the amount of marijuana in Trayvon’s system was enough to cause some impairment, although not enough to get him arrested for DUI, had he been behind the wheel of a car.

The doctor could not determine any more than the levels of THC already reported, which experts have said that, in light of Trayvon’s body weight and the low levels found, Trayvon could just as easily picked up this amount of THC by walking through an area where people were smoking. There is no way to tell, there are no reports of tissue samples being provided to any doctor or other expert for study. Therefore Dr. Bruce Goldberger is merely giving an opinion, that may, in fact, be based on false or mistaken reporting itself. With the article being reported by Rene Stutzman, who we already know to be a completely unreliable reporter, it is possible that what’s being reported is not what Bruce Goldberger actually said. Of course, we already know that Mr. West is nearly always sadly mistaken, so his unsupported word should not be taken for anything at all.
      ———————-
      ———————-

In addition, West wrote that attorneys have learned that Trayvon brought marijuana with him from South Florida to Sanford a few days before his shooting and used it at least once during his stay there.

“Have learned?” Shouldn’t there be some sort of reciprocal discovery? A witness or source named here? Or is the court now going to be expected to proceed on rumor, specious claims and hearsay? The public and the prosecution have learned that the defense is not only inept, but driven to use false claims in their efforts to seek misguided results.

      ———————-
      ———————-

All of that is relevant, West wrote, because Zimmerman told a police dispatcher shortly before shooting Trayvon that he believed the Miami Gardens teenager was suspicious and may have been on drugs.

None of it is relevant because gz had no way to know if Trayvon was on drugs or merely a person distracted by being on the phone with someone. His observations are faulty and do not include the needed foundation for the claims he makes, nor does he have the skills or expertise to make any such evaluations. Worse yet!!!!!!!!!! Even if he did have the skills to evaluate Trayvon’s conduct precisely, not only would there have been no confrontation, but he had no authority to do anything, take any action, based on either knowledge or belief that Trayvon was under the influence of anything at all.

Thus, nothing about Trayvon’s claimed use of any drugs is either relevant or probative in the least. The Prosecution only notes that gz makes this unsupported claim and that it only reflects gz’s state of mind, not that it has any bearing in fact on anything else. It certainly cannot justify any action gz took, it cannot explain why he took any action, because gz had no right to take any action at all, other than to withdraw and wait for the police.

Further, if Trayvon was MJ impaired, that would be a good indication that he had not attacked gz, because his “impairment” would have prevented it.

      ———————-
      ———————-

Zimmerman is the 29-year-old former Neighborhood Watch volunteer charged with second-degree murder in Trayvon’s death.

The defendant says he acted in self-defense when he shot the high school junior Feb. 26, 2012.

He should be charged with 1st degree murder since he never had to fight for control of his weapon as claimed, and he was never attacked. He was the aggressor from start to finish, since no aggressor ever screams “I’m begging you!” while they’re engaged in attacking. That and the timeline which shows that the entire claimed encounter from confrontation to shot being fired was far less than one minute.
      ———————-
      ———————-
On another matter, West also asked the judge to make a state audio expert reduce the amount of money he’s demanding. Tom Owen wants $3,300 before he’ll agree to sit for a deposition.

West wrote that that’s an unreasonable fee and asked the judge to reduce it to $250 to $400 per hour. He predicted the deposition would last two hours.

Experts should not be penalized because the defense has squandered their fortune. I predict these silly motions will take about 5 minutes to dismiss.

      ———————-
      ———————-
Owen told the Orlando Sentinel last year that he believed the voice crying for help in the background of a 911 call was not George Zimmerman.

IIRC, he also said that the only reason he couldn’t say for sure that it was Trayvon was, because he did not have a sample of Trayvon’s voice. Now that Trayvon’s voice has been recovered from videos on his cell phone, perhaps Mr. Owen should be given a chance to finish his work?

I guess MOM and West are hell bent on seeing gz sent to prison, that cannot be a bad thing.

  11. He’s gonna get a post up soon where I can rave like a lunatic, but somebody needed to rewrite her (Arias) script there. Seriously, has the whole world gone crazy?

“I lost my fucking mind one day and I killed Travis in cold blood. I am so terribly awfully sorry…” something like that…regret would be better than what she is doing, I , wait…Is this a thinly veiled volunteer for the dp, ie, a suicide request?

  12. Question, sorry if it’s a stupid one. Fred is composing a quick post on the Arias case. Is there a delay in the Live stream today, or is it just me?

@Crane-Station. They are not in court yet. Jodi is in the judge’s chambers with her attorneys.

    • I see the live link now, it looks like she is asking for LWOP. I believe this is the right result, although I do not believe this jury will grant her LWOP.

This does not sound right to me, I think her attorneys have made a mistake, allowing her to talk on and on about how wonderful her life in prison will be.Just an opinion, and she needs to “domestic violence” out of her mouth, b/c the jury didn’t buy it.

      • Seriously, they don’t want to hear about her family portraits. They want/need to hear how deeply very regretful and sorry she is. Doesn’t sound right, this. This jury is just going to be even more pissed. What are the lawyers thinking?

        • The “Survivor” T shirt she held up was the worst thing she could have done……In doing that she is STILL portraying herself as the “victim”

          • Oh no she didn’t. I must have missed that part when I went to get coffee. What a disaster. This is not even complicated at all. Any jailhouse lawyer in the US would have regret regret regret and so deeply very sorry, not holding up a ‘survivor’ t-shirt! Unless she went buck wild and disregarded her lawyers’ advice, she likely got an ineffective assistance claim. IANAL, but that’s my opinion.

          • Oh….and all the proceeds from the “survivor” shirts are being donated to help abused women.

There’s an idea for fogen to make $$$….he can start selling “Thug Survivor” shirts…..

          • racerrodig says:

I’ve been watching on & off in the shop. When did she show the shirt??

          • she held it up for the jury today during allocution (sp)….

No different holding up a shirt saying “SURVIOR” than telling the jury “I’m a fucking victim here…….You’re all wrong”

          • Xena says:

In her presentation before the jury, Jodi said “other survivors of domestic violence.” She still references herself as a victim of domestic violence. She also said, “Some of you might not believe I’m a victim of domestic violence. That’s their opinion and they’re entitled to it.” IOWs, she spoke as though the jury she was addressing is not the jury that convicted her of first degree murder.

          • racerrodig says:

So a jury of her peers get flipped off and dissed by a shirt message,,,,,nice.

          • Xena says:

            @MMPat.

In doing that she is STILL portraying herself as the “victim”

Jodi effectively told the jury that their decision finding her guilty of first degree murder was wrong.

          • Ya know your comment made me think…

No different than flipping off the jury……

          • Xena says:

@MMPat. Sure Jodi flipped off the jury. She told them in certain words that they made the wrong decision, and since they made the wrong decision, sentencing her to death would also be wrong.

        • racerrodig says:

I’m standing there, casually assembling this 440 Chrysler race engine and thinking “What is she doing????” Like the “Locks for Love” matters, like the harping on alleged abuse by Travis is going to get anything in the vein of “….that poor girl…” as if the relationship with her mom from 20 years ago makes a real difference.

Note to Arias and Co. : Try saying “I’m truly sorry and I ask for the mercy I didn’t show Travis” and sound convincing don’t “Go Fogen”

        • I agree racer. It was, I don’t know how to put my finger on it…over the top? I kept looking for the regret regret regret…and I just didn’t see it. It should have jumped out, but unfortunately, it didn’t.

          • racerrodig says:

Not an once of regret at all. they just made the alleged abuse by Travis a key. That didn’t work.

      • ladystclaire says:

I knew she didn’t want to be given the dp, she was just bluffing the jury into actually giving her life. as for those T-shirts, she should be a shamed of herself, for even bringing something such as that to court, where she was going to be asking for mercy from 12 people who hold her life in their hands.

I’d like to see a video showing the back collar on Fogen’s jacket that say’s “FREE COUNTRY”, which is what Fogen should’ve remembered when he began stalking Trayvon.

      • Malisha says:

Wow. Had Fogen allowed Trayvon Martin to live five more minutes, how different his own life would be now.

Think of what the downside would have been:

Either (a) nothing; or (b) The cops would have questioned Trayvon and then advised Fogen to stop accosting people in the neighborhood; or (c) The cop would have questioned Trayvon and Fogen and taken them both down to the station house and ended up arresting one or both of them either on charges of disorderly or some other micky mouse charge after which both families would have had to spend money on lawyers and thereafter Fogen would have been requested by the HOA to not patrol or something; or, at the outside most unlikely and thus tiniest shred of a statistical possibility, (d) Trayvon would have stolen a bicycle or something and Fogen would have mourned, “Dear God, these azzholes, they always get away, even on great wonderful ME!”

        • racerrodig says:

          e) Fogen would be arrested for unlawful detention at gun point and have to serve 10 years mandatory.

  14. gbrbsb says:

For anyone interested, nice new video from Sanford Watch of Trayvon’s possible route home via the short cut through Colonial Village. Note the hilly terrain he would have had to cross to arrive at the short cut by Taffe’s. I posted there was difficult terrain to cross at night at the time DD’s “letter” was disclosed as it was noticeable using Google 3D (“standing” on Oregon Av. just past Colonial Village and facing the bend the cut throughs flank). This video shows the terrain really clearly.

FWIW, I personally still have my doubts that Trayvon entered via Taffe’s cut through and not the first cut through which is nearest to Oregon Av. and leads straight onto RVC direction Club House. Which route he took or which cut through may not even be used in the trial unless there is satellite based GPS data (GPS from towers will not be exact enough) which I doubt but then I have been away for a while so maybe I am not up to date on this.

    • Two sides to a story says:

Catchy tune. I betcha the prosecution has a pretty good idea of Trayvon’s movements and that his route conflicts with Fogen’s story.

      • gbrbsb says:

I so hope you’re right twosides. I presume you are basing it on GPS data but I have real doubts about that because from my experience tracking vulnerable adults for their safetly to pinpoint positions it has to be satellite based GPS, as tower based just isn’t precise enough.

      • Two sides to a story says:

You’re right and I’m just feeling positive and taking a guess that the prosecution has investigated the GPS angle thoroughly and with the best available data and experts.

Sooooooooo Osterman will organize that group of his Black friends in a protest of the trial…..Gee…….what a moron.

    • Rachael says:

I don’t know where you get that idea. The video she posted is an old video like in October where he stated the same think he said on Dr. Phil about all GZ’s “many black friends.”

AFAIK, he has not said anything about doing that now, but if he has, this wasn’t it.

      • ay2z says:

sorry for the confusion, Rachel. Got to remember to put snark warnings in the posts when necessary. 😉

Where are all of fogen’s black friends now?

      • racerrodig says:

Oliver was so peeved Nancy Grace cut his mic he quit being a friend. So, there goes that African American support.

      • Rachael says:

        Where were they then? LMAO!

        • racerrodig says:

The end of his “Black Friends” support came the second Nancy Grace said “…..cut it….cu this mic” during the Joe “Rent a Friend” Oliver interview……It’s a fact…..that’s the last we heard about ’em.

      • Rachael says:

And I would REALLY like to know about that mentoring program that he had to commit to for a year. Wonder if that will come out at the trial.

        • racerrodig says:

All that mentoring of those poor black kids, none of which has a name, and yet he felt compelled to murder one…..I don’t quite get his logic on that one…….well, any of his logic.

      • Rachael says:

Very interesting that you say that. You know, the supposed “story” is that their parents were concerned for their safety so they haven’t given their names or stepped forward. Isn’t it funny how the racist refuse from the outhouse can’t accept that same reasoning when it comes to “DeeDee?”

    • Rachael says:

You realize this is an old video, right?

      • ay2z says:

Yep…. real old. Thought he might be the organizer since he seemed sorry they didn’t get all the blacks behind fogen to rally for him last year.

Right now, he should focus on numbers of supporters in the token white friend category, doubt there will even by a single Joe Oliver in the bunch for a rally.now.

      • Rachael says:

What the heck has happened to Joe by the way. After being tarred and feathered by Lawrence O’Donnell, it seems he disappeared.

      • racerrodig says:

Lets face it, a good comedy routine never goes out of style….

      • Rachael says:

You know race, if it weren’t for the tragic fact that a young life will never realize it’s potential and parents’ dreams and aspirations were shattered, this whole thing would almost be a comedy. For every laugh this whole thing brings me, there have been twice as many tears.

        • racerrodig says:

Exactly so. In the beginning I didn’t dare make light of any aspect. As time went on and evidence began to come to light AND the LE connections I have gave me some info, it became clear Fogen was toast. Last summer one of my guys asked myself and if I had someone I could trust to stir the pot of Zidiot stew on the internet.
Man did we !! For the record, his entire family has been on under literally hundreds of names. This was a game to them and now, it’s just about all over but the clapping.

Here’s a sample of facts we figured out. On HP the racist clown (I hope he reads this) LetJusticePrevial (LJP) is in fact Papa Z. Several of us would come down on him like the Inquisition and in his anger he’d say something that was proof he was who we figured he was. Then there was his IP address. The all time show stopper is that he’s on just about 24/7 except………when there is a court date and he’s there. He isn’t on until 4 or so hours after court is out……enough time to talk with Moron O and Fogen, and head back to the trailer camp. Then he’ll talk about the court hearing in ways you know he was there and refer to things O’ Mara allegedly said despite the fact that O’ Mara said no such thing in any post hearing TV interview. I tracked this very carefully.

To this day, when I’m in the mood, I’ll go on HP and say flat out we know who he is and he won’t even deny it. He won’t even respond to me as he knows what I was doing for my LE guys. In fact I got one of them to make a fatal mistake as he was wanted on hate crime / racist actions Federal Warrants. He went to far, and I found a video of him at a Neo Nazi camp conducting a prospect demo. He made the mistake of using his real picture as his avatar and the video was him. When I sent the link to one of my guys, he circulated it and bingo !!! one of the undercover guys recognized the camp in the mid west and the next day he was arrested.

Yes, the tragedy of this crime is overwhelming and my hat’s off to everyone on Team Trayvon and Corey and her team.

My admiration for Trayvon’s parents for the way they have held themselves is beyond description, and my love, sympathy and prayers are there every day for them.

The comical aspect, well, look at the crew involved. George Carlin is looking from wherever he is and saying……I died a few years to early………look at the material on the table now !!!!!!!!

This would only be the opening

Then Bernie can say this after Fogen tries to sell some BS in court

And maybe Bernie can incorporate some of this into his opening or closing statements.

Because it describes Fogen and Co. to a t.

  18. dianetrotter says:

Irony here. They say Blacks will riot when GZ is acquitted. Why don’t they want due process to take place. When the riots happen, they can say, “I told you so!”

    • You all have thoughtful comments says:

      ???

      • dianetrotter says:

Sorry if I rattled that. They are afraid Blacks will riot so they are going to beat the Blacks to it.

          • dianetrotter says:

RZ can pass the hat around to the protestors so they can put their money where their mouths are. If they really want to help GZ they can all chip in so O’Mara can add another wing to his office.

          • racerrodig says:

I don’t know about another wing, maybe a plastic bin for the trash cans……just sayin’ !!!

    • Soulcatcher says:

That should be only half the blacks will riot. According to Oysterman, Zippy’s white token friend as he refers to himself, the other half there should be all his black friends he has, which are so many that they equal as many that showed for the march. I guess we should expect to see Jr, Sr, and Gladys there with all the Afro-pervian relatives there in support for Zippy.

      • racerrodig says:

I wonder what catch phrase they’ll come up with.

Seems like “I have a dream” is pretty close and since Robbie the Racist loves to quote MLK, they may try it. Of course “We shall overcome” won’t work, but “We’ve been overwhelmed” is the best.

Of course if left to Papi Z “Florida Sucks” would be on banners, bumper stickers and billboards everywhere.

I feel so betrayed by Larry Elder. I had no idea he had these kind of self hating views. I used to watch his daytime show “Moral Court” and read/agreed with many of his columns. Is he simply blind to all of the evidence against Fogen?

      • Two sides to a story says:

I’m near LA, too, bydesign. Hope your mom continues to have good luck. I have lots of relatives in tornado alley. Some mentioned being outside late yesterday afternoon or early evening, taking pictures of a storm in Iowa as the city tornado warning alert whistle thing was going off – I have many childhood memories of heading for the basement during storms and also got stuck in a car one afternoon after school right in front of my house as tornado cruised by less than a mile away (through a cornfield) – greenish black boiling sky and almost baseball sized hail. The rest of my family was in the house and headed for the basement. My boyfriend and I weren’t able to leave the car until the hail stopped and by the time we went inside, my family had emerged from the basement . . . school and college cancelled next day while everyone in town helped homeowners start to dig out stuff from their totaled houses – the worst damage was in an even smaller town about seven miles away. No deaths or injuries as I recall, but an entire neighborhood wiped off the map . . . the difference there being a smaller, weaker tornado and everyone having basements.

  22. PYorck says:

I wonder what will happen to GZ’s support once the trial starts. I get the impression that there are many casual racists who just assume that someone like Trayvon was probably up to no good or at least legitimately suspicious. They identify with the neighborhood watch guy who probably meant well and deserves the benefit of doubt. Beyond that they never bothered to look at the evidence themselves.

So far the prosecution has been relatively quiet. Most of the things incriminating GZ have been aspects of his story that don’t add up or implicit concessions by the defense. Those are things that are very easy to miss if you aren’t looking. I think once more explicit evidence is on the table many will insist that nobody could have seen this coming and that their presumption of innocence was their civic duty, but they will drop GZ like a hot potato.

I think the hard core of GZ supporters who will defend him to the bitter end is much, much smaller.

    • Trained Observer says:

I agree. HLN and other outlets will cover this quite literally night and day. Whatever anyone thinks of Nancy Grace, you can bet she won’t be in Fogen’s corner. Even among redneck racists and gun nut extremists, Fogen soon won’t be in vogue.

As the sad facts of this tragedy are exposed under oath for mass consumption, odds of rallies and unrest will diminish. The eventual consensus on Fogen’s conviction: He had it comin’ .

  23. I asked the same question a week ago Prof.

My concern was fights breaking out among the factions…….Having them separated is a good idea without a doubt..

I can just see the klan showing up to hold a rally..

Wonder if Westboro Baptist will be there?

    • Two sides to a story says:

I can’t see Trayvon supporters coming out until verdict time. After all, the big concern was getting Fogen before a jury.

But as always, I could be wrong.

    • lurker says:

Dunno if this is exactly Westboro’s thing (although who knows), but Terry Jones (the “Islam is of the Devil” guy from Florida) had contacted Z. while he was in jail. One of the recorded jail phone calls was from Z. to him saying thanks but no thanks to his offer to organize folks. I guess maybe Z. was smart enough to realize he already had enough wackaloons in the tent.

      • Xena says:

        @lurker.

I guess maybe Z. was smart enough to realize he already had enough wackaloons in the tent.

Maybe. Maybe too, GZ realized that once Terry Jones found out Junior is gay, that he would turn against the entire Zimmerman family.

No, I don’t believe there will be any protest… And I haven’t heard of any such protests… This news article IMHO, is just another ploy to put fear in racist hate mongers.. The article is on clickorlando, and says it originated on RobertandGladys dot com.

What will Fox’s spin be on this? When Gladys made her last letter that commented on the failure of the justice system for them, the Z’s, as Americans, Fox altered the statement to ‘failed Americans’.

Astonishing quotes from Zimmy Sr.–he’s infuriated and blaming “the system” for persecuting his son. It may be that the State of Florida has more financial resources than fogen now, but where’d the nearly half a million go? Crickets on that one.

BTW, the comments that follow that article are really off the chart: blaming Trayvon for walking home, blaming him for wearing a hoodie in the rain, blaming him for not “having an umbrella,” and clearly blaming him for breathing. Those racist posters just heap blame over this dead kid’s body.

      • Reading some of the comments of the above posted story…..So I’m a Trayvonite huh?

The Zimmerman family were the first to bring their racism into this, and continue stoking the fire. It began with papicito’s letter writing campaign and Fox “interviews”, then jr and Gladass jumped in

An amazing number of decent Americans still aren’t aware of the facts on what happened. Soon, they’ll know.

The only hypocrisy I see is they talk about tyranny but they would be okay with letting a murderer go free who was bringing tyranny to a victim

      • Shari says:

Yes that is one tragic contradiction in their ideology. What happened to Law and Order? Respect and deference for the police? They should be against Fogen because he took it upon himself to be the authority, he asked for police help and they said, “We don’t need you to do that.”

For them a black child is not deserving of equal rights and the only thing that can explain it is racism. And really they need to get over it. Your ancestors brought my ancestors here and this is my country as well as yours. America as it is today is inhabited by people from all over the world. They need to accept that they must share the land with others.

The Zidiots must realize Trayvon is just as American as Fogen, maybe more so. He is a typical American teenager, he is no alien or foreigner. He was born and raised here. This means he has as much right to walk on the street as Fogen.

      • You all have thoughtful comments says:

Very well stated, Shari, especially when you write:

Wild Bill Finlay is an avowed Bama hater with a penchant for using scripture to justify his racial axioms. Ahem! The SPLC gave him honorable mention recently in a piece titled: ‘Conservatives’ Who Gathered in Colorado a Different Breed.

“Another speaker typical of the new “conservatives” was Marine Corps veteran Bill Finlay, a former deputy sheriff and U.S. marshal known on the right-wing speaking circuit as “Wild Bill for America.” Describing himself as a “liberalologist,” Finlay said the ultimate goal of liberalism is to install a totalitarian government. He said the universities are full of “commies.” He said liberals will use the mental health system to attack gun owners. And he proposed to create small “special forces” teams to “invade liberal territory,” “expose the liberal agenda,” and “sow chaos” among liberal groups.”

Apparently some of these right-wing wacko heavily-armed groups have taken to recruiting from recent military retirees or malcontents. Came up following the Wisconsin Sikh Temple shooting in looking into the shooter’s history. There are also some self-appointed “Islamic Experts” who managed to pick up military contracts as trainers with Homeland Security and so forth. Mostly their credentials rely on hatred of Muslims. I believe that under Obama there has been some attempt to weed these folks out, along with Christian proselytizers in the ranks. There have been stories of “assigned” attendance at religious rallies and the like.

Personally, as a Christian, I am mistrustful of folks who mix their beliefs and ideology into the military.

This article is from summer 2011, but there is more recent articles on this guy’s attempts with appeals. He was lecturing to jurors about their ability to decide for themselves, not obey a juror’s oath.

Bernie must have anticipated something like this from the defense, in his motions in limine about suggesting any penalty, about jury deciding for themselves, etc.

If someone like idiot above with the mugs, wants to get notariety, this is one way, get himself in front of cameras. Hope he doesn’t forget his tin foil hats.

    http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/news/state-regional/casey-anthony-judge-sentences-trial-protester-to-f/nLwRL/

    Excerpt:

For nearly a year, Schmidter had been handing out the pamphlets at the courthouse. He advised jurors they may vote their conscience, they cannot be forced to obey a “juror’s oath” and they have the right to “hang” a jury if they don’t agree with others on the panel.

Because of such actions, Judge Perry signed court orders at the start of the year blocking the distribution of pamphlets meant to influence jurors outside the Orange and Osceola courthouses.
Then, in anticipation of demonstrations for the Casey Anthony trial, Perry signed another order establishing the free speech zones in early May.

On Tuesday, Schmidter took the witness stand and testified that he did not think either order applied to him or people with the Fully Informed Jury Association, whose members have also distributed the pamphlets at the courthouse.

He said another man, Julian Heicklen, had tested Perry’s order regarding the pamphlets and was not arrested. As for the free speech zones, Schmidter said he wasn’t distributing the flyers for the Casey Anthony case in particular, so he didn’t think he needed to be inside the zones.

“I said this must not apply to me because I’m not talking about any [particular] case,” Schmidter said.

    • lurker says:

I believe that these folks are part of the natural law movement (I think I have the label correct). They pretty much discount the validity of the government overall. They can be dangerous and have been known to get in shoot-outs with cops in traffic stops. These are the kinds of groups that have been on the increase during the Obama Presidency, and there are a number of them located in Florida. I am certain that one of the things that the FBI was looking into was whether or not George, or anyone with the SPD had any such connections.

Interesting gun ownership data has shown that while the numbers of guns in circulation has increased, the actual number of households with guns has declined. In other words, fewer gun owners, each owning more guns. I’m not big on gun ownership, and don’t mind things like background checks and so forth to try to keep guns away from the irresposible. And while I live in an urban area where too many kids/young adults can get their hands on guns that end up killing other kids/young adults, the folks who really worry me are these kinds of ideo-idiots who seem to think that they have all kinds of rights to challenge authority and believe themselves to be the next revolutionaries.

      • Xena says:

@lurker. It’s “common law,” among sovereign citizens. Common law to them means that if a person accidentally steps on their foot, they can burn down their house and not be subject to violating law.

    • Cercando Luce says:

So strange these folks all have German names– Heicklen, Schmidter, Zmmerman. (Apologies to LeaNder)

      • abbyj says:

@cercando, keen eye on that one. It must be the lingering vestiges of the teutonic love of all things aryan.

      • LeaNder says:

No need to apologize, Luce. I try to carry my national burden with grace.

Yes, Zimmerman is pretty German, if you add a second n in the end it is a Zimmermann = carpenter. Man (versus woman) = Mann in German. And this is the traditional work habit of a carpenter

If I search a German telephone database only for families or people with that family name not for carpenters, mind you, the result is this:

        Zimmerman = 61 entries; Zimmermann = 36,317

Schmidt, would be a typical German name, Schmidter not so much it seems. Only 4 telephone accounts for that name all in Bavaria around Munich.

Zero for Heicklen. It sounds like some type of Germanic family name, that is true, problem is zero entries in Germany. Strictly it sounds more Flemish (Belgian Dutch for you), Dutch to me. But Amsterdam could tell us, maybe that’s because of Heineken. 😉

If you look in ancestry databases the Heicklen family either emigrated from Russia or from Canada to the US none from Germany.

      • looneydoone says:

        Cercando,
Oh so politically incorrect, but true
Same thing with most of the border vigilante groups (Minutemen etc) anti-immigrant and white supremacist cells in the southwest who’s membership has exploded in size the past 20 years. Many of them with thick foreign accents themselves

      • Cercando Luce says:

Well, now I really owe an apology to LeaNder– unless, do you think, the Schmidters and Heicklens of old were SO obnoxious and evil that their neighbors put them ALL on the boat for America?

        • fauxmccoy says:

          @cercando
          @leander

while not casting aspersions to anyone of any nationality, we also need to keep in mind that many names were altered at ellis island, either by choice of immigrant or by officials not understanding an immigrant’s native language, accent or a number of other issues.

      • My ancestors on my mother’s side are from Germany (story goes they bribed a boat captain to escape some hard times a long time ago) Anyway, my middle name is Ahmann, a German name, taken to mean (a man who) lives next to the Ah river or stream. But the ‘mann’ part is there.

      • LeaNder says:

Watch it carefully, Crane, you may have in fact have some type of only slightly diluted Teutonic genes. 🙂

Luce, I am honestly not especially sensible concerning the topic, but you may run the risk of having me lecturing you on German or for that matter European history. E.g.

Hitler gained German citizenship on February 1932, so maybe you would want to add the Austrians to your mix? This is the result of the November 1932 election. I use the German Wikipedia version so you get a better visual grasp of the voting pattern. One third is bad enough, but it is not “the” majority. They even lost 4,2% at that point. This election with a little help from elite conservative circles ultimately brought Hitler to power in January 1933, and successfully stopped the trend, since next election in March 1933 wasn’t really a free election anymore. The emergency laws following the Reichstags Fire took care off that. Political opponents and party member were the first in the camps, e.g. the socialists and communists. Watch how their percentages dropped in the March and last election under the Nazis.

I am not a true believer in the Goldhagen “thesis”. … But I can understand that it would be quite helpful to have evil somehow geographically localized until doomsday. 😉

Besides European history did not start with with post revolution 19th century nationalisms. Thus if you look for German family names, you maybe should add Austria and German speaking people in Switzerland to your search pool.

But even if I search Austrian and Swiss telephone directories both Schmidtker and Heicklen searches return empty. So the best we can find are the four telephone numbers for Schmidtker in Bavaria, Munich region. That’s not much for a typically German name.

If I search my family name in the German speaking countries and the US in the diverse directories the result is this:
        Austria: 0, Switzerland: 144, Germany: 61, France 74, America: 100.

My mothers family name, Hahn = rooster, has a better result.
        Germany: 19657, Austria: 100, Switzerland: 482, France: 554, Netherlands: 25, Great Britain: 227 America: 100+

That’s clearly a German name, the problem is my grandfather’s ancestors at one point were Dutch and had the name Haan or de Haan. My father’s name is a very German name with a very distinct regional origin in South Western Germany, and the bordering countries France and Switzerland, simply not such a frequent one, and maybe not so easy to transfer into a different language.

I don’t think anyone in the Justice for Trayvon camp will be protesting. I speak for myself when I say that all I wanted was for him to answer for his crime in a court of law. You may not chase children at night armed and then shoot them dead in the heart. It is criminal activity. He should not have been given immunity that night by the locals. Fogen didn’t need all that security and I don’t think the Justice for Trayvon crowd will disrupt the trial. We want a trial that will not be reversed on appeal and we want to see the evidence laid out in the correct forum.

I can’t say I would be this patient if I were Sybrina and Tracy but they have set a great example as the victims.

    • lurker says:

      Well stated.

    • ladystclaire says:

@Shari, truer words have never been spoken as for the grace and dignity, that this family of Trayvon’s has shown throughout this entire ordeal. not only have they had to deal with the loss of their son and, how the person responsible for his death, was not arrested and charged.

It’s a shame and a disgrace before GOD, that not only have they had to endure the pain of loosing their child in such a horrific way, they have also had to put up with the ignorance of racism against their son as well as themselves. their child’s character has been attacked and, he has been smeared and drug through the mud, yet they have carried on for the sake of receiving justice for their son/brother.

One thing about it though, as long as GOD is for this child and his family, racist bigots can not and will not be against them.

  34. Two sides to a story says:

Of course I agree, but Fogen supporters see the State of FL as corrupt and everyone involved in this case but Fogen and his family as evil . . . so . . . likely there will be a contingent of people. I’ve read that a few people out of the country intend to fly into FL for the event.

  35. Rachael says:

I have seen many pro Z’s talking about riots if Z is not convicted, but I don’t get that feeling as much as I get the feeling that there will be plenty of Z’s protesting the trial (as they do not believe there should be one) as well as if there is any rioting, it will be from them. Not that I have read anything specific, but just the feeling I get from reading some of the things I read.

Like you, Professor, I and it sounds like Trayvon’s family, want a fair trial for the man who shot and killed their son. I know that if it were my son killed under such circumstances, I would too.

    • Jun says:

I have read that the Fogen Gang Members plan on attacking and terrorizing and burning down Florida if Fogen is convicted

Then the alarm will go off and that dream will end…..not to mention they can’t collectively afford new tires for their house to make the trip.

      • abbyj says:

@Jun, You may call me a dreamer, but maybe Florida needs to go back to the alligators. What with Jeb and Rick Scott, it’s been far worse than a swamp land for almost 15 straight years. I want to be clear that I’m not advocating civil insurrection here, but fantasies are free, and the swamps of the Everglades just seem the perfect, natural state for Florida.

    • Jun says:

All marches for Justice 4 Trayvon have been peaceful

The only person asking for violence was NBPP, as there is only one member of the New Black Panther Party but it seems the cops or the feds dont care what they do so LOL and if Fogen or Joonyah have a problem with them, take it up with them

    • ladystclaire says:

@Rachael, how are you my friend? we all want Fogen to have a fair trial but, a bunch of *IMBECILES* parading around in front of the courthouse is not going to assure that or anything else. these people should be arrested because, they are inciting civil unrest and, they could care less if this SOB receives a fair trial or anything else for that matter.

This is something that they have been salivating for, since the beginning of this case. this SOB killed an innocent child and, it matters a damn to them, that Fogen shot and killed this child in cold blood, no mam. the only thing they see is the fact that his victim happened to be AA and, this is the only reason that they want to see him get away with his crime.

Had Adam Lanza not killed himself for the awful carnage of six and seven year old kids, which all but one of them was white, these very same *MORONS* would be the first to make a hangman’s noose for him and, drag him kicking and screaming to his death. if allowed to do so. NO, they don’t give a damn about the half breed who took Trayvon’s life and, we all know all to well why they are raising such a ruckus while at the same time, showing the rest of the world their ignorance.

Hopefully they will be called out for the way they have mistreated, smeared and, slandered this child and his family.

  36. People certainly have a right to protest, but I do not see a need for a protest at this time.

I think we should let the system work in full view of the public so that nothing is hidden.

Corruption needs shadows, dark corners, a lame press and a disinterested and uninformed public.

Fortunately, we have the Florida Sunshine Law to supply the light and some good bloggers to inform the public and make up for a lame press.

    • Rachael says:

The problem is that the Zppl feel the system has already failed and that GZ should not be on trial to begin with – therefore, they are protesting the trial.

      • Two sides to a story says:

Yup. I would be VERY surprised if there are not a substantial number of Fogen supporters outside the courthouse during the trial.

        • racerrodig says:

Manson had supporters too…..how did that work out. It would actually make a difference if they actually had some facts correct, but since they have a standard bearer like “Wild Bill” do they actually think anyone will do anything but point a finger and laugh !!

      • ladystclaire says:

Maybe the next crazed depraved mind, cold blooded murderer will take out a loved one of each and everyone of them. they will get no sympathy from me at all. this kind of shit should not be going on because, there is no need for these people to continue to show their *IGNORANCE* in this manner.

Are they going to protest James Holmes’s arrest and trial as well? this shit is pathetic for these people to be acting in this manner. instead of someone with the defense trying to put an end to all of this BS, they are encouraging it. this is such a damn shame, that this SOB and his crime has turned this entire country into the racist mecca of the world.

I can’t wait for an LLMPapa video ripping this guy……imagine what Trent Sawyer will say…….Wild Bill won’t be able ti find a…….wait, he can hang out with Knox !!! Yeah, that’s the ticket !!

      • You all have thoughtful comments says:

This guy needs to put a little love in his heart.

        Advice for this guy:

        >Come on people now,
        Smile on your brother.
        Everybody get together.
Try to love one another right now.

      • Xena says:

@Rachael. Let them keep sending out that negative energy to GZ.

    • Wow!

My question is does this guy really believe the bullshit he’s spewing?

I have a hard time believing that anyone can be that stupid.

What a scumbag racist he is.

      • William Walton says:

And, this guy is allowed to vote. Interesting group of people!

      • lurker says:

Because I spend too much time on the internet, I have encountered a number of folks like him, and sorry to say, yes, they seem to earnestly believe what he says. The logic goes something like this: 1) Trayvon was a thug; 2) Zimmerman was a hero for killing him (in self-defense); 3) Should Zimmerman be found guilty, it will be because the fix is in, from Obama, Holder or other folks afraid of the power of “the black community; and 4) If Zimmerman is found not guilty blacks all over the country will riot.

Now, as far as great numbers of them showing up to demonstrate outside the courthouse, who knows. A good number of them are fair weather patriots to their causes and prefer to watch the Fox coverage on TV. But, they all fervently believe that blacks will be there in great numbers, with orders to riot if things don’t go the right way.

Yes, it is sad and scary.

      • racerrodig says:

I’m betting even the hardcore Zidiots laugh at him…..Wild Bill, a legend in his own mind.

      • Bonnie says:

Maybe someone should tell wild bill the prosecutor is a Conservative Republican.

      • abbyj says:

Scumbag racist is right. It very much feels that this guy and his ilk are chomping at the bit for a race war. They’re drooling for it, IMO. Must be a terrible thing–since the Emancipation Proclamation–not to be able to go out and murder blacks with complete and total impunity. Sure, Jim Crow gave them some leeway but, for these die-hard racists, there was nothing like the good old days of executing blacks at will. They are just itching for any excuse to all-out unload.

        • racerrodig says:

I’m thinking that Manson sent him a letter to take up his failed plan for a race war…..Lets face the fact…both of them are freaking insane.

      • kllypyn says:

Mr Leatherman Sometimes people are that stupid. Trust me.

      • Malisha says:

I once asked a psychiatrist if one of those hate-spewers (a particular one whom he had evaluated) actually believed what he said, and the psychiatrist answered: “WHO CARES?”

    • This guy is fabulous. Amazing that he came out of his underground bunker…no wait, he’s wearing orange! So he’s a fugitive from jail! ROFLOL, prolly what got him there in the first place, his filthy bigotry. I hope he shows up with that badge and runs that dicksucker just as fast as he runs it in this video, so he can head on back to jail and spew his filth in the drunk tank where nobody cares what he thinks. I am calling the internet police:

PS Is this guy Taaffe in disguise? LOL, if so:

      • Two sides to a story says:

LOL, Crane. I love how you post what I only dare to think! 😀

        • LOL, I aim to please. This guy deserves it, he’s like straight from central casting for some over-the-top Coen Brothers movie. Oh, lord I can’t help it, the guy reminds me of Walter, in this:

        • racerrodig says:

X 2 Everyone who thinks “Wild Bill” is a Flaming Fucking Asshole chime in….

      • racerrodig says:

He said he wants all Real Americans to come and face down the worst racits in America.

No fucking problem there Bill……you tell me where you’ll be and this Real American will come down and trust me, you won’t survive.

Oh, that’s right, we’ll recognize you by the mug…..that’s a classic.

Some body cut this guys air supply off. Better yet, get him on Nancy Grace….

        • Hardly enough words one can drag from the vocabulary to describe how stupid this guy is. It’s like he put a sign on himself: “I’m strapped, and bat-shit crazy. I plan to be at X location at X time, carrying the badge I was dumb enough to UPLOAD to YouTube. I will be threatening media and people, and looking for a fight. So please, police, please keep an eye on me.”

          • racerrodig says:

You’re in rare form today and I love it……ya gotta admit his “you’ll recognize us my the logo on the mug (flash mug for 1/2 second) is stone dead Zidiot Crazy !! Yep….look at me now ma…….I’m on the computer screen, a’ lying my racist ass off.

Did he actually think that “…hulking 6′ – 3” “: shit would not get ripped ??

      • Two sides to a story says:

LOL. How ’bout Crane Station, Nancy Grace and Wild Bill – that’ll shut him down fer sure.

        • LOL, I’ll have to start planning my outfit now, something along the lines of a dress that makes me look like I just robbed a liquor store in Compton. Guy’ll run away with his tail tight between his legs!

      • Wait, even better, here’s me, in the green shirt, in the elevator:

      • Two sides to a story says:

        😀 😀 😀

      • Xena says:

@Crane-Station. Love you!!! I needed a good laugh today. Thank you.

    • ay2z says:

“Hulking 6’3”. Blatant lile, by several inches. Skinny, he was skinny.

Look up the truth in the autopsy, you miss the mark by adding 5 inches!

Then take a look at your hero’s height, from what he says on Myspace, to what his doctor’s office put in their medical report of 27th feb, 2012, to whatever else he said in interviews.

      Talk about a race-baiter-hater, he’s inviting a confrontation.

    • Trained Observer says:

Hulking and 6’13”, huh? Wild Bill apparently has had a lobotomy.

While it’s wise for Seminole County to gear up security around the courthouse for the Fogen trial , it’s doubtful that there will be anything much going on rally wise until possibly time for the verdict. By then, testimony ought to diffuse a lot of nonsense generated by the Wild Bills of redneck world. . .

      • Trained Observer says:

        6’3″ …

      • Two sides to a story says:

“By then, testimony ought to diffuse a lot of nonsense generated by the Wild Bills of redneck world. . .”

One would hope. Some sensible ones jumped the fence when Fogen’s stories started shifting.

    • kllypyn says:

      Another so called christian.

    • Malisha says:

Well he’s just standing there admitting how impotent he is! He’s saying that the race baiters came down to Sanford and somehow those terrible evil race-baiters managed to get their way. HIS GUY did not get his way. He did not want to be charged with a crime but he WAS. So those “bless-God” Americans who hate the evil liberal media LOST and were POWERLESS to protect their guy against the actions of Sharpton and Jackson. Wow, weak, weren’t they?

Do you think they’re any stronger now that their guy gave up the right to even TRY for a SYG hearing?

Impotent weak lily-livered azzhole punks: Get a life. Learn your lines: “Do you want fries with that?”

      • Two sides to a story says:

I’ll amend that – how ’bout Crane Station, Malisha, Nancy Grace and Wild Bill? Stick a fork in him.

    • Jun says:

      Yall ever seen Clayton Bigsby?

It’s Dave Chapelle’s perfect impression of this guy, all the way down to blaming the liberals when the Governor and the state prosecutor are both republicans

  40. Jun says:

Yes, I heard some crazy right wing redneck wacko was trying to round up 10,000 Zidiots to harass and intimidate the court for arresting and trying the defendant and possibly jurors too

    • kllypyn says:

I don’t think there will be much of a protest. Zimmerpunk aint that important

      • racerrodig says:

That’s what I think. I believe most of them will just blow away and the few who do protest will be thinking “…who is this Fogen guy and why am I wasting my time…….damn, hope the wife & kids ain’t watching TV about now”

  41. racerrodig says:

Echo, I doubt there will be many protestors. They can’t hide behind a computer screen if they do…..Silly Zidiots.

if they do, then the real world gets to see racism at it’s all time low and I doubt they have the nerve.

    • abbyj says:

@racerrodig, They can’t hide behind their computer screens, but the bet’s on that they’ll be decked out in their finest, 1,000-denier thread-count white, sateen sheets. You have them down to a T: they don’t have the b@lls to let the real world see racism at its all-time low, let alone to have their true faces telecast throughout the world.

      • Xena says:

@abbyj. Piercy and Junior could barely get 1,000 people worldwide to sign Piercy’s “malicious prosecution” petition — and that was with Junior’s promotion of it on Fox.

      • aussie says:

I think you’re mistaken. These people are proud to be what they are. They believe they are right. Good Christians. Good Americans. They are so ignorant they don’t even know they’re ignorant. So they have no shame, they feel pride and righteousness. Proud and entitled.

        • racerrodig says:

I guess I keep trying to apply logical thinking to illogical racist shit heads.

          Sorry….My bad.

      • racerrodig says:

I think when push comes to shove, very few will turn out after thinking “….who the hell is Fogen and why should I waste my time?”
The few who do turn may be in their finest whites or be looking around thinking “……damn, hope the wife & kids ain’t watching TV about now”

      • Two sides to a story says:

        Aussie, yes they do.

    • fauxmccoy says:

      racer says

Echo, I doubt there will be many protestors. They can’t hide behind a computer screen if they do…..Silly Zidiots.

eh, that’s ok, for this event they won’t need their computer screens, all are anxiously awaiting the dry cleaners to finish pressing their sheets. :/

      • racerrodig says:

That’s OK…..I got friends and I still have some of my wide receiver speed…..we’ll just run amok yanking them pointy hats off……

        Film at 11:00 !!

    • Xena says:

      @racerrodig.

They can’t hide behind a computer screen if they do…..Silly Zidiots.

Pillow cases. They’ll wear white pillow cases with cut-outs for their eyes.

      • racerrodig says:

“Pillow cases. They’ll wear white pillow cases with cut-outs for their eyes.”

They would be “The Prospects” kind of like a bike gang.

      • Malisha says:

OMG OMG – – I have an idea.

Some rational people get pointy white hats and white sheets with eye-hole cut-outs and go down there! PHOTO-OP for: “KKK supports Fogen”! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

    • ladystclaire says:

@racer, with all due respect my friend, the world is already seeing the racism that has been stirred up by those who are *IGNORANT* enough to smear, slander and disrespect this child and his family, the way they have been doing for over a year now.

The rest of the world has indeed had a front row seat at witnessing the racism in this country that has never ceased to exist and, it never will. some in this country and, they know who they are, have gone so far as to *HACK* into this kids social media accounts and, author things there that Trayvon never wrote himself. this is why the defense was so eager to gain access to those accounts because, those who put those things there, were the very ones urging the counsel for the murderer to go after those very accounts which they themselves *ALTERED.*

Oh yes, the rest of the world has witnessed the *UGLINESS* of racism in this country for over a year. also, if any one show up to protest this trial, they should be arrested and charged with obstruction of justice. the very people who talk of AA rioting if Fogen is not convicted, are the very ones preparing to show more of the *IGNORANT* side of themselves.

      • racerrodig says:

I agree with that 100%, believe me, they are a blight to humanity. I just think that, and they have proved so far, that they are all talk. Not 1 thing they predicted has happened. I believe when the trial starts and evidence starts coming out that we don’t know about, most of them will be “….who…..what donation…..me ?? I never”

I’m sure a few diehards will be visible like Wild Bill, but I’m told by my sources, which are in the thick of this, Fogen is not very anal retentive now……another way of putting it…..he’s shitting his pants, SheLie can’t keep up with his laundry and he’s spending a lot of his loot on medicine for his bowels.

      • ladystclaire says:

LOL, he’s going to need to stock up on several packages of depends, because he is going to need them. I can see him crapping his pants, when the verdict is read as GUILTY!

    • Jun says:

LMAO it’s funny how big of pussies racists turn out to be once the world is shown their racism

  42. I believe the online extremists they are referring to is a guy found on youtube asking for 10K zimbots to show up…Jr tweeted the link to the youtube. I don’t have it as I never watched it but based on the comments I read that is what I gathered.

  43. vickie s. votaw says:

    Beta

  44. Big Willie says:

    Alpha

    • You got the Alpha!

    • Lonnie Starr says:

I think that we should all pick designated protest areas in every city and state, where our ad hoc videographers can record people showing their support for Trayvon’s family. Great idea! We can have videos of people from all major cities and across the states posted to YouTube. The media and it’s spin meisters are no longer needed!

      • Malisha says:

I really love your idea, Lonnie Starr. How do we get this organized? Could there be a “Justice: BE ACCOUNTABLE” day or something? SHould the Washington, DC location be the Department of Justice?

        • racerrodig says:

You guys are onto something there.

        • Lonnie Starr says:

With such little time it would have to catch on by itself. Draft a little letter about the idea and tweet it, send it to civil rights groups and Trayvon support groups. If it has legs it will do the rest on it’s own. The idea is if any org puts their membership behind it, that ensures there will be hundreds of tweets, facebook and email messages per day. With that much going on, some media person is likely to pick up on it and that moves the ball forward. Because otherwise this would take months of planning and promoting.

        • Lonnie Starr says:

Thinking about it… Maybe start by giving a brief explanation then asking people to nominate locations in their city and towns. So it’s sounding like a twitter/facebook campaign. People seem to love things like that so interest may build quickly. Then all that’s needed is a scheme for keeping the information in order and disseminating it. That’s easy, just create a blog for that, a website might get too many hits for a free one to handle. Of course, I haven’t looked at the free website market lately, last I looked they tended to throttle high volume websites.
