Trump lied when he accused Hillary Clinton of corruption

Trump based his accusation of corrupt behavior by the Clintons, regarding foreign financial contributions to the Clinton Foundation, on information in Clinton Cash, by Peter Schweiser. In Fact-checking the April 26 shows, ‘Clinton Cash’ published by PoliFact, Newt Gingrich made a similar claim. The authors wrote.

Robert Delahunty, a University of St. Thomas constitutional law professor who worked in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel from 1989 to 2003, also called Gingrich’s link between Clinton and the foreign governments’ gifts to the Clinton Foundation as “implausible.”

“The truth is that we establish corporate bodies like the Clinton Foundation because the law endows these entities with a separate and distinct legal personhood,” Delahunty said.

  1. Important read in the New Republic about a Trump rally: American Horror Story

That’s when I realized what had been there all along. This campaign, whose success has long been attributed to the forgotten working and middle classes, the so-called Silent Majority, has been, and always will be, an unholy alliance between the Hateful and the Privileged, the former always on a never-ending search for new venues for their poison and the latter enjoying, for the first time since Reagan’s ’80s, an opportunity to get out and step on some necks in public.

I considered the odd pairing and its implications as I left the lot and turned onto Coliseum Boulevard. Trump can be defeated, and most likely he will be, but elections cannot cure this disease. It’s always been here and perhaps it always will be. Trump’s narcissistic quest to “Make America Great Again” has only drawn the insects to the surface, and there’s plenty of room to wonder whether he’s driving the movement or if it’s driving him.

And if there is any illegal activity by the “separate and distinct legal personhood”, he/she/it (which pronoun is appropriate?) pays a fine and the human persons continue doing what they do.

It’s so good to be that kind of person: you can’t get punished for anything and you CAN GET REWRDED for almost anything. When I die, I want to come back as a corporation.
