Racists menace public safety and should be banned from owning guns

Saturday, June 14, 2014

Good morning:

A person who shall remain nameless posted this comment to my article about banning racists from juries. I post his comment because it is a good example of someone who accepts racist assumptions as a reasonable reaction motivated by a desire to protect family.

This is what he said,

Sorry Fred. Racism is here to stay and you above most must truly know why.
People have guns in drug areas for protection, and most people panic when a probable drug effected loon knocks on your door.
Family importance over rule most other issues that I am aware of.
Sorry for being truthful.

I am disturbed by the author’s casual dismissal of the law of self-defense and his assumption that I “must truly know why” it’s reasonable to confront, shoot and kill an unarmed black teenager knocking on the door and “acting like a drug affected loon,” whatever that means.

Racist assumptions about the behavior and intent of people of color are not reasonable or acceptable under any circumstances. Whether a person is in imminent danger of being killed by another person or suffering grievous bodily harm depends on whether that person is armed and what they are saying and doing. It does not depend on the color of their skin.

Assumptions regarding their intent that are based on the color of their skin are irrational and cannot ever justify using deadly force.

Racism has been around for a long time, but that does not make it reasonable or acceptable.

I do not accept or tolerate it and that is why I did not approve the comment.

We can end racism and a good place to start is by ostracizing them: calling them out, shaming them publicly, and banishing them from the tribe.

We also need to take away their guns and banish them from serving on juries.

They are a dangerous menace to public safety and we need to treat them accordingly.

Please make a donation if you appreciate what we do.

How can a man who has a loaded shot gun behind two locked doors be in fear for his life with respect to an unarmed 19 year old not too large female?

And if the argument is going to be that she was an alcohol, ganja addled 19 year old teen seeking a score, then that should be a cart blanche to shoot many a frat boy who wander off of campus.

  2. Malisha says:

Wafer was white and shot and killed a Black woman who came to his door. His defense is basically “black criminality.” Yet if he were Black and shot and killed a Black woman who came to his door, he would be a statistic proving Black criminality. THIS is how statistics are made.

    • Malisha says:

And when you’re measuring white-on-black crime and black-on-white crime, remember: Fogen killing Trayvon Martin was not listed as a white-on-black crime. Yet had Martin lived, he’d be in prison now for a white-on-black crime.

When my parents lived in Detroit, during the 1990s, on Pickford, they had a drug selling home next store that was operating 24/7. Although the area was about 80% black, the customers were a stream of white teens who arrived in cars, got out and went to the door of this home, and came out with a small brown paper bag.

What irked my father is that some of them would bang on his door late at night because they had the wrong address.

Anyhow, he never got scared and got his gun. Nor did he feel the need to shoot them.

So I wonder how the above applies to:

    “You above truly know why…”

What, I truly know the War on Drugs is a racist crock of shit that lets whites get away with what can ruin the rest of a black persons life – a bust for possession.

“Family importance rule over most other issues…”

Oh, he must mean the fact that my father’s black neighbors such as Clifford who put the word on the street that anyone who touched “Pops” – that’s what they called him – was facing a world of hurt. Yep, I agree that it is nice to have neighbors who look out for your elders when you have moved away.

Or maybe when Clifford’s kids messed up my father’s drive playing, he marched them right over and made them apologize.

ugggg … such a sickening comment on all levels.

as a gun owner, all i can say is that those prone to panic should most definitely not have firearms. this is along the lines of ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ and the ever popular ‘i would rather be judged by 12 than carried by six’. both demonstrate deeply flawed logic, as misapplying those insane axioms can lead to the death of innocents and a lifetime in jail for the one who shoots. who, then, is left to care for the family this poster says is so important?

numbskulls. thanks fred, for keeping this racist shithead from rational discussion.

    • Malisha says:

But I’m not sure the commenter was a “racist shithead.” I think we have come to a point in our culture where we cannot even see the racism in our own conduct! We don’t feel it because it is our environment. It’s like a fish not feeling water. We move through it constantly and find it hard to identify.

  5. I’m glad I live in a country where I have the right to remain safe from the paranoia and race-fueled negative fantasies many have about self-defense and heroism with a gun. *tongue in cheek*

So why not have positive, peaceful fantasies instead?

  6. MKX says:

Even if any of their arguments were statistically valid {and I don’t think they are}, they are not logical.

For example the black male murder rate that is six time the white is 30/100,000. So that means 3 out of every 1000 black males is a murderer and 997 out of 1000 is not.

So if I pull out my gun and point it at every black male because they are murderers, what is far more likely?

A: a violent thug gets killed

B: A stupid f’er kills and innocent teen

So far, we have the Zimmerman, Dunne, Wafer trifecta betting on B.

  7. Malisha says:

The problem I see is that the people who operate on the assumptions that:

    1. Blacks and other quasi-citizens are inherently criminal; and
    2. Blacks and other quasi-citizens constitute the drug problem; and
    3. Blacks and other quasi-citizens present danger at all times; and
    4. “Real” citizens must defend against Blacks and other quasi-citizens at all times

do not regard it as racism! They use the faked-up racist-policy-driven “statistics” to bolster their insane self-hyping arguments and they call it “realism”; they think racism consists of using certain words, and they try to avoid that. They do not actually STUDY or concern themselves with the problems we really have as a culture: poverty, inequality, oppression, corruption, institutionalized racism, educational imperialism, etc. They take their own pronouncements as being so self-justifying that they disregard REAL information as some kind of trick whose goal it is to make them give up some of their “rights.” (Of course, it might make them give up some of their PRIVILEGE, starting with their WHITE PRIVILEGE.)

They do not believe in real equality or real freedom; they say and do certain things as both lip service and as what they believe is “noblesse obliges.”

Typical race baiting hate monger. BUT God forbid he have his car breakdown in an area he deems undesirable and someone mistake him for some kind of “loon”

By the way little racist It would be “…drug AFFECTED loon” not effected.

It would also be the term “overrule” (1 word) not “…over rule..”

His statement “Racism is here to stay…..” ???? Says who ?? Just because some redneck race baiting hate monger says so ???

And for the record, family importance does not overrule “THE LAW” and I’ll stand by that one. Family importance has never been mentioned here and if family safety was a key element……Wafer would have kept the doors closed and locked and called the police.

……………………..but that’s just me…………….and a fair dose of common sense.

Actually your comment makes two very important points. One is as you commented and the other is that but for the possession of a gun, he probably would not have opened the door… and they keep telling us that more guns are the answer to stopping violence… Hmmm, what part of that does not ring true?

      • racerrodig says:

More guns crap just kills me. All we’d have is higher body counts and nothing else…….well, more destroyed families, more accidental shootings since most of the nuts will leave loaded guns around loosely, more reason to kill that co-worker that the nuts have an issue with and a plethora of other miladies.

The SYG laws are just one reason the NRA gets to show how racist it is since they never tout a shooter that is a minority no matter how “good a shoot” it was.

But those FogenPhoole and Duuhhnnnn shit heads are the victims of such violence at the hands of those skinny black teens.

………wait……..neither of the shooting victims actually touched the shooter. Wow !! seems that little fact escapes them.

        • The guy in the WalMart, who had a gun, attempted to confront the man and woman who had killed the two cops in Las Vegas and they killed him.

The more guns theory didn’t work out too well for him.

I agree. More guns means more dead people.

Let’s hope that poster doesn’t show up in a trial that we watch. We also don’t need to see him on a jury!
