  1. “Have you ever put your son in a car seat?”

    Yeah a few…thousand times.

    Love this witness.

  2. Trained Observer says:

As this murdering jerk of a defendant sits there on his ass, how can jurors not be acutely aware that his kneejerk spray of bullets might easily have killed any of these three articulate kids on the witness stand?

  3. never cursed at him, never yelled at him….no, he just killed him. And that’s way worse that Dunn maybe cursing, right

  4. Back in session. Fred back in a bit, but he did comment, this looks more professional-like federal court.

  5. Girlp says:

I don’t get Stolla’s questioning of the police, what he the other officer and the civilian did is not Jordan’s cause of death…he was shot by a bigot.

  6. a2nite says:

    Is AC prosecuting this herself?

  7. Hope you’re feeling better, Professor! My husband has been sick too. But he’s on the mend now.

  8. Malisha says:

Rhonda, the girlfriend, has such a “nicey nicey believable reasonable” little voice in her interview — it rings false because it’s so well done. Strange. I don’t have any real take on it except that her description of how happy Dunn was after the wedding (“because his son was getting married” — as if that explains why he would feel happy — when he was completely estranged) was ringing about as false as a crystal bell on top of a giant tortoise in the National Aquarium of Bangladesh.

  9. Malisha says:

O’Mara knows which side of the bread the lard is on; he bowed out of the NBC suit to avoid Rule 11 sanctions. If Fogen’s messages and cell phone stuff came out (and wasn’t being hidden by Corey) it would have proven so much racism that NBC could run an hour-long program called “George Zimmerman is a racist murderer” and wouldn’t lose a libel suit by proving “Truth is an absolute defense.”

    • roderick2012 says:

If Fogen’s messages and cell phone stuff came out (and wasn’t being hidden by Corey) it would have proven so much racism that NBC could run an hour-long program called “George Zimmerman is a racist murderer”

Which begs the question—why haven’t the Feds filed charges against Piglet yet?

  10. Two sides to a story says:

I bet the Fogen supporters are imploding as the NBC suit does a slow fizzle out.

  11. Trained Observer says:

    Dunn juror profiles

  12. Sophia33 says:

I can’t watch this trial right now because of work. So I will come here for the updates. Are they playing it live all day on HLN like they did Fogen’s trial?

  13. Sophia33 says:

I’m keeping my mouth shut given what happen during Fogen’s trial. But if Guy and Corey don’t do a better job in this trial than they did in Fogen’s, then I think the Feds should investigate them.

    • Malisha says:

Should have investigated them anyway. If they do a decent job here it doesn’t erase what they did to bless Fogen and empower this racist murderer. With his woo woo sensitive little flappy ears that can’t bear to hear loud “wrong-culture” music.

  14. racerrodig says:

When Atkins was on and the camera panned to Duhhhnnn he had a look like, “This is all your doing….taking my license plate #…….just you wait……you better pray my cells not next to yours in the future”

Yep…those pesky witnesses…..taking plate numbers, ruining everything.

  15. colin black says:

    Judges admonation to seqestered jurours.

Watch tv blah blah discuss nothing concern ing…

What happened to the stripped bare rooms no bibles no nothing the blathering idiot attorney was stateing yesterday how frugall an harsh seqesered have it?

Did I hear the judge correctly did he say to them if they do use the internet avoid sites concerning this case?

  16. Christensen and Stroll have an amusing and entertaining interlude about him attempting to put words in her mouth previously.

  17. 6. Lillian Christensen

She’s the Assistant Manager at the store. She heard the shots and went out of her office to find out what was going on.

She observed and described the reactions of her employees.

The customer got into a car that left “calmly.”

She called 911 and provided them with the license number that Shawn Atkins gave her.

    • bettykath says:

“I’m not putting words in your mouth, am I?”

      “Not this time.”

The deposition must have been interesting with defense lawyer trying to put lots of words in her mouth for purposes of impeaching her later.

    • Malisha says:

You know, that car leaving calmly is interesting because I find myself commenting, whenever I watch one of these “action” episodes or “action movies” on TV, that there’s a common phenomenon: the good guys get into some kind of major danger with the bad guys (usually to save an innocent but completely defenseless good guy with whom viewers can identify) and it plays out in public. THEN, suddenly, without any kind of prior preparation or planning, the good guys execute some kind of fabulous and perfectly timed, and magnificently involved, acts of extraordinary violence in public. Nobody screams “STOP” at them and no members of the public interfere as they tear through train stations and airports and city streets and construction sites and up and down escalators and through malls, pushing, leaping, shooting, and whirling, complete with martial arts and levitation. When it’s over, not one of them is ever arrested or even isolated for questioning. They won, and that’s all. They blow on the tips of their extreme armaments and one of the females (who has done the most high kicks, generally) says something ironic or philosophical. A grateful public emotionally cradles them in praise and thanks. And at leasst one of the square-jawed, silent, protective males has a two-inch abrasion on upper left temple and a godly look.

See, these guys wreak havoc, flash hero badges (of any and every sort, not necessarily uniformed) and are not even questioned about the need for public shows of extreme violence. They don’t even do a body count. Nobody mourns the half dozen bad guys they dispensed with (neatly) on their escapade.

This is fed to idiots like Dunn on a daily basis.

I’m not saying that’s to blame for Dunn’s criminality or his guilt. But is there ONE of those TV shows where we think it would not fit into script for the hero and his pretty supportive woman to pull into a motel and order pizza (and then we’d see just about as much thigh as the security cameras picked up as they engaged in their post-pizza coitus)?

      • MDH says:

Movies and TV rarely put the use of violence in proper context. An exception was the robbery scene in Boogie Nights wherein the clerk was facing down the gun and the hero pulls his gun fires a shot that misses which startles the robber so that he shoots the clerk and then both the hero and robber dispatch each other.

My father witnessed a car jacking outside his home and spotted the robbers with a gun pointed at the driver. Although he had his shotgun, he kept silent and observed because any commotion could have caused the robbers to shoot the driver.

The driver, an off-duty PO, thanked my father for doing the right thing.

The car jackers were caught later.

And there was another tragedy in my old hood.

A real estate investor was checking on a home on Evergreen when he was jacked by a young teen using a fake gun. When the teen got into the car and drove off, the victim pulled his gun and shot at the fleeing vehicle. He missed. One of the misses travelled to Heyden to go through the wall of a home to kill a mother making Thanksgiving dinner for her children.

Dunne, Zimmerpuke and the people that worship them are largely products of the white flight overprotected suburban enclaves that arose in the 1960s and 1970s. They live in a fantasy world and have no concept of reality.

        I loath Zimmerman.

Anybody who has seen someone killed should also have heard the unforgettable wails of the mother of the killed.

If that don’t get you, then you are not human.

        Oh, I forgot.

Zimmerman and that other puke in the community were having a nice chat about ammunition.

  18. colin black says:

    Lillian Christianson

Assistan Manager has abrassions on cheek an bridge of her nose.

  19. Cross by Strolla:

She did not see the shooter, just his hands with the gun.

  20. colin black says:

you can not leave wittnesess next to wine an potato chips or they will throw a dinner party.

  21. 5. Maria Grimes. This woman was working cash register 3.

He heard 3 gunshots coming from two hands holding a silver gun from car with the shooter resting on the closed driver’s door.

Heard about 6 more gunshots as her customer walked to the front door.

Her customer got into the car occupied by the shooter. She never returned to get her wine or her change.

    • Malisha says:

The shooter was resting on the closed driver’s side door?

So he wasn’t crouched down in a defensive position?

      • roderick2012 says:

@Malisha, that proves that Dunn is lying about seeing a gun (stick).

If he had seen a gun he would have squatted down to avoid any potential return of fire.

    • racerrodig says:

“….. from two hands holding a silver gun from car with the shooter resting on the closed driver’s door.”

2 hands…..which is an offensive position. He shot Jordan with a Taurus PT 92 of which I own one. It holds 16 & 1. It is advertised to hold 15 & 1……but with a little pressure…..it’s 16 in the mag and 1 in the pipe. Strolla also made the asinine comment that the gun was “…safely loaded..” No loaded gun is actually safe.

Note to defense team : Guns are meant to kill and none are safe…..especially in the hands of a mean spirited racist.

“….resting on the closed driver’s door.”

This is a safe place…..”closed driver’s door” I still can’t wait for the part about the stick……er, shotgun…….and of course, there’s that magic bullet he mentioned. Funny…nobody has testified about Jordan opening a door ????? Hmmmm ??

  22. fauxmccoy says:

well, i hate defending this woman, but corey is seriously better at this than BDLR. her questioning is slow, precise, thorough. i’m going to assume until i see otherwise that she is doing her job. corey is treating the felon shawn with courtesy and respect, no demeaning or belittling that i can detect.

also noted that guy’s demeanor is very different — of course this is home ground for them both.

strolla shoulda shaved, he looks like a scumbag and acts the part well.

i have figured how to stream from the net onto my TV from my mac and can monitor this blog or others from a tablet by using the $35 chromecast device. i’m delighted to be able to have figured it all out and don’t feel like an old fart, technologically speaking.

the chromecast thing is pretty darn cool for the price, you can stream from a smart phone, tablet or PC onto your TV all for 35 bucks and some set up headaches.

    • roderick2012 says:

fauxmccoy: well, i hate defending this woman, but corey is seriously better at this than BDLR. her questioning is slow, precise, thorough.

Which makes one wonder why Corey allowed Bernie to lead the prosecution in Piglet’s case with Guy assisting, and why she decided to take over this case and demote Guy to second chair?

      • fauxmccoy says:

        just a guess here roderick

she’s worried about appearances, politics and above all, her career.

        the difference is profoundly noticeable.

  23. 4. Shawn Atkins

Serving a 7-year sentence in prison. He was living in his car with his girlfriend.

He pulled in and parked on the left side. The red Dodge Durango was parked tow spaces over to his right.

He heard 2 shots before it backed out and pulled out,

He heard 4-5 shots fired from a police crouch, which he describes as a defensive position, after the durango left.

He memorized the license plate number and went inside the store and wrote it down for a cashier,

The lady with the shooter came out with horror on her face.

They left fast headed in the same direction.

  24. Andrew Williams

    Cross by Strolla

The SUV was backing up into the parking lot when he first saw it.

It was 40-60 ft away when hr first saw it.

Difficult to cross examine a good samaritan who’s telling the truth.

  25. 3. Andrew Williams

Cabinet installer. He and his wife were chaperoning two teenagers from their church on a date.

About 7:30, he heard sweveral shots more than 5, less trhan 10.

He pulled in to the first pump..

He noticed a small car leaving. A red SUV backedin ane stopped

He heard one young man said he wasn’t moving.

He checked for a pulse, bu detected none.

He attempted CPR but no response.

  26. colin black says:

    When does court resume?

  27. shyloh says:

Please tell me Dunn didn’t start clapping his hands after the store video was played and then smiled??? Am I seeing things? Just be nice to me ok? 🙂

    • Malisha says:

DO you remember Fogen beaming with pleasure after the video played? Like a kid on the Howdy-Doody show?

      • shyloh says:

Yes, and I couldn’t believe my eyes on that one either. So, I swear I was seeing things.

      • racerrodig says:

I think Duuhhnnn mouthed bull shit during Guys opening.

        • Malisha says:

          He might actually lose.

The difference is he’s not out on bail. Fogen’s doctors and lawyers and witch-doctors had him so drugged up (and the Samantha Schiebe lookalike sitting right next to him baby-sitting) that his behavior could be somewhat under control.

          Dunn might actually lose.

He’ll appeal and carry on about his anti-white racist jury and he’ll file habeas corpus petitions claiming he was a victim of an unconstitutional racist plot.

          • MDH says:

Another difference is that the PD is not on his side. The liar lair pants on fire treatment he was given during interrogation is in sharp contrast to the … hey George that is not consistent and you really mean… kid gloves applied by the Sanford PD.

    • colin black says:

Im not sure Shylo only just started veiwing an am still stunnned by A Coreys fashion choice.

I thought they stopped makeing that rayon shit In the Seventy.

    Theres electricity in the courtroom.

Thousands of volts of static every time she moves.

  29. Girlp says:

Well the states witness didn’t really give Strolla much of anything. And I see witness 1 didn’t feel he had to shoot the kids over loud music, what a difference in temperment. Also, what a difference between Zimmerman’s trail and Dunn’s at the beginning. I guess we will see what comes later.

    • racerrodig says:

Moron O’ Mara waltzed in with 300 lbs. of concrete…..I’m betting Strolla brings in a 1 1/2 inch diameter stick and spends an hour trying to show how much it looks like a shotgun.

His shit about the pocket knife was entertaining considering. It was found in the victims pocket…….not on the seat, not on the floor and it didn’t fall out of his hand onto the parking space.

This begs the all important question……..if it was in Jordan’s pocket, how the hell does Duhhhhnn know anyone is armed ??

If Duhhhnn takes the stand, I’m making sure I talk to Guy and telling him he damn well better ask that question.

      So to review……

      1) There is no weapon seen by anyone other than Duhhhnnn
      2) There is a pocket knife in the victims pants pocket
      3) Nobody can corroborate that any threats were made by the
      4) Duhhhnnn shoots at a retreating SUV
      5) The only one known to make a “threat” is Duhhhnnn
      6) The only ones who needed to defend themselves were shot
      7) Mr. Smith AND the video so far corroborate the State’s case
      8) The only one claiming self defense is Duuhhhnnn

      9) AND Duuhhhnnn is to be looked up to as a model citizen
      because he didn’t reload ???

Oh, and the new murders sedative is pizza…..dog walking and pizza…….clams a killer down. I’m shocked Duuhhnnn hasn’t tried to broker a $$$ deal with some pizza chain.

      • Girlp says:

Hmmmm wonder if they will put Duhhhnn on the stand I hope so, I may be wrong and it is early but i don’t see things going well for Duhhhnn.

        • racerrodig says:

We’ve had that feeling before, but how many times can it happen. The odds begin to change and I’d say Duuhhhnn is done, whether he takes the stand or not.

If he does, his anger will come out and he’ll slip up, if he doesn’t, what can Strolla bring in……a bottle of wine, a pizza, a dog leash and poop ??

It’s not like he can drag in a few hundred pounds of parking lot, not to say Moron O’ Mara hasn’t called and said “Hey…it worked for us !!!”

How do you defend against the fact they were fleeing from a shooter !!

      • lairdbearly says:

Do you have connection to hottie Guy (sorry but can’t resist!) 😍😍😍

  30. Steve Smith Cross by Strolla.

Strolla knows how to cross examine using a prior inconsistent statement.Got him to admit that he previously said there was an empty space between the Jetta and the Durango.

Went fishing for an answer that Dunn said,Your not going to use that gun against me.

    Didn’t fly.

    • bettykath says:

Corey’s re- seemed effective. He could identify the spaces when given a photo to look at but that wasn’t available at the depos.

    • racerrodig says:

I can’t wait to hear what this magic bullet theory he mentioned in his opening is about……looks pretty solid as far as bullet trajectory goes.

Not to mention he skated all over in his opening on things that one simply says “….so what..” to no matter when it’s brought up.

Then he rips on Guy on that what he said isn’t evidence (no shit Sherlock) BUT……what I say is evidence…….

I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark that most of what he bs’d about is never brought up.

And of course the obligatory…..my client says a gun (or a stick) was pointed at him…….yet nobody else on this planet can corroborate this…..but hey, my client has no reason to lie.

  31. colin black says:

Give or take a few feet give or take a few minutes .
Your client decided to give lead an take life .After wittnesing his son take a Wife.

  32. colin black says:

So Dunns sefence budget cant run to a photo copy for the Judge to veiw?

Sympathy for the devil extracted from the Jurours we so poor cant even spare a dime to defend his hidious crime/ miss understanding?

  33. 2. Steven Smith

Project Manager for a general contractor who builds apartment complexes.

He stopped after work to get a fountain drink

He parked away from the red Durango because of the loud music.

The Jetta pulled in after he went into the store.

When he came out he heard the driver of the Jetta say You’re not going to talk to me like that.

He never heard anyone in the Durango say anything and did not see anyone with a weapon.

The driver fired 2 to 3 shots at the fleeing Durango. He cannot recall if the driver got out to shoot.

The Durango pulled back in in 2-3 minutes,

    • Malisha says:

“You’re not gonna talk to me like that” was what Dunn wished he had the balls to say AT his son’s wedding where, obviously, SOMEBODY in his estranged family must have told him off and he was too chicken to respond with violence. He saved up the violence and THEN expressed the rage he had been holding in since pulling away from the celebration: “You’re not gonna talk to me like that.”

Yeah. He felt like he could get away with killing a Black kid who didn’t bow down to him. He was afraid to say those words at the wedding where he was truly persona non grata.

      • Malisha…. “You’re not gonna talk to me like that” Dunn upset because he was disrespected at his son wedding.

    • Girlp says:

So a fogen lover say’s fogen only want’s to give to charity, he supposedly made money on a copy of someone elses work why didn’t he give then. Anyone who understands fogen knows fogen IS the charity he is really addicted to money now.

      • Rachael says:

I don’t think he is addicted to money – he doesn’t have any, doesn’t seem he ever really did. He does appear (to me) to be addicted to bone-headed ways to make money that have gone to the disgusting to now almost macabre

        • Girlp says:

That’s true….maybe we will get to see how much of a liar the gym owner is, one thing fogen may be to out of control to really fight I could see him making a lot of mistakes and getting his butt beat but I do not see him as a weakling.

        • MDH says:

Fogen being a weakling is a complete myth.

The guy ballooned up past 250lbs during the trial. Guys with a propensity to grow are strong. Any honest gym rat will tell you that “fat boys” rule the true tests of strength – deadlifts and squats.

Another factor in strength is having large hips, a short torso, short arms and short legs. The torque tube created by the torso is less prone to flexure and the limbs create better lever arms for muscles. I am an engineer by trade.

Anyhow, Paul Anderson shows all of the above in action.

Fogen was probably in fairly good shape when he was down to 207.

I realize that Fogen has not done serious weight training, but his physical build has inherent advantages that an honest trainer or gym rat would not ignore. For example, one of my physics buddies does beer curls for a living and looks much like Fogen at 250lbs. He can move furniture around like it is deck chairs.

  35. Liah Harris. She’s a college student. She dated Brandon Davis. She worked at Urban Outfitters at the mall.

She’s never seen him with a weapon.

She didn’t know he had a tactical knife.

  36. Malamiyya says:

I came in late — but I was dismayed to see John Guy once again delivering the State’s opening.

  37. masonblue says:

Strolla’s theory is that Brandon Davis had shotgun.

  38. So what if the music is loud. That’s not an excuse to kill.

  39. Strolla’s opening is pretty good for a lawyer with a bad set of facts.
