Do you trust Shellie Zimmerman?

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Good morning:

We have been left dangling by ABC News, which reported yesterday that Christi O’Connor, an investigative journalist in Florida, contacted them and, after disclosing that she had interviewed Shellie Zimmerman

said that during their “stunning” hourlong interview, the acquitted killer’s wife said that her husband has “beaten down her self-esteem,” but she is “looking forward to getting her life back.”

Shellie Zimmerman told O’Connor that she left George after an argument and went to her father’s house on Saturday, the night before the shooting. She said she was not at home on Sunday before the shooting.

If we assume she is telling the truth about that, then we can confirm our suspicion that George lied when he told the police that he and Shellie mentored kids at their house on Sunday afternoon before he started out intending to go to Target to do their weekly shopping. The trip to Target never made any sense anyway, since he only had some change and maxed out credit cards.

Due to excellent work by Tschoupi, Marinade Dave, and LLMPapa we already knew that George lied about spotting Trayvon at Frank Taaffe’s house as he was on his way to Target because Trayvon was sheltering from the rain beneath the roof at the mailboxes and talking to Rachel Jeantel on his cell phone before George even left his house. Either the prosecution never figured this out or they decided not to exploit his lie at trial.

She refused to disclose what they argued about or whether they are still together. When asked if she was disappointed that he did not support her by accompanying her to court for her plea and sentencing, she said, “I always want my husband’s support.”

She said she believed his claim of self-defense and did not believe he profiled and murdered Trayvon because that is “not his way.”

O’Connor knows how to tease:

O’Connor, who is working on a book about the George Zimmerman trial, also hinted that there was evidence that was mishandled, saying that during the sensational trial, “there were so many untruths told.”

“What the jury never heard could have led to a different verdict,” she said.

My take: Since Shellie has not decided whether to move on and get a divorce, I think we need to take most everything she says about George and their relationship with a grain of salt. With the exception of her criticism of his photo-op visit to the KelTec factory, which even O’Mara’s office criticized, her careful choice of words appeared to me to betray a desire to avoid saying anything that might offend him or implicate him in any criminal wrongdoing, including the perjury.

I could not help but feel that I was watching an elaborately scripted performance, from her expensive makeover and bright slash of moistened magenta lipstick to her careful navigation around potentially damaging subject matter.

She remains under his toxic influence and for that reason alone, I cannot accept what she says as true absent independent verification.

What do you all think?

She is an admitted perjurer.

    Opps, Found it.

    Do you trust Shellie Zimmerman?

    The short answer: no

The long answer: She says Fogen did not profile and murder Trayvon Martin because it is “not his way” but she told him on the phone in jail, “when this blows over we’re going to have a great life”? So — uh — do I trust Shellie Zimmerman? HELL NO, are you kidding? Do I LOOK like I was born yesterday?

    • Trained Observer says:

Actually, SZ said “you’re going to have a great life, to which Fogen, the all knowing con, replied “we’re.”.As in, stick with me, baby, and we’re going to go far.

While denegrating her to his sister in other jailhouse chats, I believe Fogen was intent on keeping SZ on the string. Users love to use.

    • She actually said, “you’re going to have a great life.”

  3. ks says:

I don’t trust SZ but, I think this is the beginning of her exit strategy. If this was a full on Z clan plot, all of the usual suspects, especially RZ, would be running off at the mouth.

As others have mentioned, GZ is probably in the wind and it seems like SZ is slowly waking up to reality.

    • Trained Observer says:

Worthy points. Every time I feel even slightly inclined to feel a bit of pity for SheLie, I then remember how she tried to take down Tracy Martin in court by working with O’Mara on that trashy friend’s claim that I believe to be false and unworthy of repeating.

It also irks me that BDLR, with almost no opportunity to prepare, was able to take that guy down in nothing flat — and yet he opted up not going for the throats of the parade of lying trial witnesses. .

    • ladystclaire says:

If she is indeed waking up, why in the hell is she still lying for the piece of shit she’s married to? she will never turn on him completely if she has done so now. I noticed how the father in-law was sitting so close to her in court, minus her murdering husband.

This girl is dense and, I do not in anyway believe that her in-laws would allow her to give an interview such as this one.

  4. Mary Davis says:

I replied to Rachael. Don’t know what happened to my post.

You have the wrong blog for these activities and comments.

  6. MDH says:

I agree that he is good at being a confidence man. One must keep in mind that the pro-Trayvon and pro-George factions represent two distinct cultures.

Pro-Trayvon people tend to be urban and street wise. One thing I became good at to survive running the streets is sizing up con men. That is how one gets set up. Anyhow, the “I can’t trust this guy” alarm bells went off immediately as I saw and heard George. Con men like to play up stereotypes or desires they think the pigeon holds to curry favor or bamboozle them.

Which leads me to the gated community isolated people who favor George. Because they live in an isolated echo chamber wherein believing their own bull shit is a norm, it becomes very easy for a con man to manipulate them by feeding more of that shit.

One example is the use of “you got a problem Homie”. Living Color and the term “Homie” are not part of the vernacular used by a 17 year old. As a result, anybody running real streets with real people would take that as an indicia that George is “laying on the bull shit”.

The white George supporters I talk to don’t see that.

IMO, it because they never interact with black people on a real level. As a result, a black person becomes a dehumanized abstraction whose details are filled in by TV or assholes like Taffe.

Just my thought balloon for the day.

    • Girlp says:

      I agree.

    • Trained Observer says:

MDH — I’m white and, for the most part, I see it as you do … the one exception being that the Retreat@Twin Lakes is truly a “gated” community providing any semblance of isolation from real world interaction.

Developments like the Retreat are a dime a dozen in Florida, nice enough but nothing upper-crust or special. Its residents are a mix of pigs like Frank Taaffe and decent people like Mary Cutcher and her roommate, the latter who testified.

But, yes, Fogen is a discount-rate con who succeeds mainly with white racists and folks in general who lean toward dim.

      • Trained Observer says:

Oooops! Meant NOT truly a gated community.

      • Woow! says:

There is a community in Dallas, TX called Highland Park. It is the very snooty rich neighborhood that does not allow you to buy unless you are white. It is in their HOA bylaws that no blacks are allowed.

There is a black attorney from CA that moved to Dallas. He and his wife were going through a divorce and he wanted to move in Highland Park. He found out about their rule no ‘N” allowed and beat them at their own game.

His wife was white so he had her take a tour of the house and talk with the realtor. Both he and his wife names were Tracy. His wife told the realtor that she needed to have the closing documents sent to her attorney in CA and she would sign them in his office and overnighted back because she had unfinished business there and to finalize her move. Her husband signed his closing docs (paid cash for the house I think it was something like $1.3mil).

One morning the husband walked out to set his trash on the curve and a neighbor asked him what was he doing. He laughed and walked back inside. A month went by and the neighbors noticed that only a black man would come and leave. The HOA paid a visit and he said that he was the home owner. The realtor said he sold the house to a white woman. Tracy said no you sold the house to me but you met with my ex wife whose name is also Tracie.

Exclusive neighborhood got beat at their own game. The HOA changed their rules, they make sure another “N” don’t get in that neighborhood.

    • Xena says:

MDH. Excellent comment! GZ presented Trayvon according to a stereotype. He was suppose to speak a certain way because of his race. GZ built on that from speaking, to behaving, to thinking according to the stereotype.

What puzzled me early one when I began following blogs about the case was the use of the word “thug.” Those applying that to Trayvon and what GZ alleged about him, do not know the real meaning of the word. Had Trayvon been a “thug,” he would not have ran from GZ, neither said anything to him. He would have been carrying something to use as a weapon.

If he indeed attacked GZ by punching him in the nose, Trayvon would not have straddled him. The first rule among thug street fighters is never go down on a person but rather, use their feet to kick the living daylights out of them.

      • looneydoone says:

Yep. Thugs do not straddle someone they’ve knocked down..it’s simply
        hit em
        knock them down
fuck em up (stomp on )
        then walk away

      • MDH says:

        Agree with you and add:

An encounter with a real thug would have left George dead in his bullet riddled SUV.

Thugs do not cotton to vehicles creeping up behind them at night.

        • Xena says:

@MDH. Again, absolutely. Had GZ thought Trayvon was a thug, he would have not gotten out of his truck to follow him. Well, GZ did tell us that he considered Trayvon to be “punks.” Punks are not thugs. I don’t understand why GZ’s supporters don’t want to believe him.

GZ also gave us comparison between punks and thugs. From his MySpace page, he believes that Mexicans who pulled knives on him are wannabe “thugs.” (I guess the “wannabe” is because they didn’t stab him.) GZ knows the difference. He should educate his supporters.

  7. crazy1946 says:

Has anyone considered that the Fogdoit and family follow this blog? How many of you remember the discussion a while back where it was mentioned in the event of a law suit by Trayvon’s parents being successful that even Shel-lie would be in debt due to the suit? Now, enter MOM (who has stated he would represent the Fogdoit in that suit), would a good attorney advise his client to take preventative actions to protect assets in the event of a loss? Could this be a way to protect at least 50% of the funds that they have? You need to understand that we are not talking about people who have no motive to be devious…. Perhaps I am wrong about the possible, motive, but ask yourself, would this look like a plan hatched by the likes of the Fogdoit? While many people think that the Fogdoit is stupid, I suggest that in some ways he is, but when it comes to con games he is not, and actually is quite good at scamming people to get what he wants…..

    • Dave says:

Are you suggesting that the plan might be to go through the motions of a divorce and shift as many of the couple’s assets as possible to Shellie in the settlement and then “reconcile” after the legal dust has settled? That might work IF GZ had absolute trust in Shellie but he’d be running a big risk since that could put her in a secure position to dump him for real.

      • Girlp says:

He does not trust her that was proven on the jail house recordings he even sent his sister behind her to make sure she did what he said, he actually said he did not trust her.

      • Trained Observer says:

Plus … she ‘s already shown evidence of inability to manage assets with some of her silly purchases with defense fund money.

    • Xena says:

@crazy1946. GZ, O’Mara, et al. do not read here and other blogs. Rather, there are a handful of Zidiots who read here. They then report to O’Mara what is posted along with their recommendations of what he should and/or shouldn’t do. They tweet to Junior and one of O’Mara’s office assistants pointing them to certain comments.

  9. Soulcatcher says:

Ask youself thiis, in O’Conners blog, she says she has interviewed people who offer proof Zimmerman and his family are racist. Now is Shellie, if she has any love for GZ and or his family going to agree to and interview with O’Conner knowing she has information and is investigating the killing, and that infoormation could damage their reputation further and be used by the DOJ or in a civil suit?

I think they are not together and are playing a game of Chicken. Lets see who pops up next in the media tour, the Z;s, RJ, the Oystermans?

  10. acemayo says:

GZ trail turn into a trial on why TM had to die
If not by GZ he would had die anyway by someone else
because he was a thug up to no good

    • Rachael says:

Look at it this way. If George Zimmerman wouldn’t have killed Trayvon Martin, he would have killed someone else. It was just a matter of time.

  11. Mary Davis says:

Ok, so she may be in an abusive relationship. I can understand that. Been there, done that, but this is why I could never believe or trust her. If you are being abused you would never make an appearance like this, especially in a situation like hers.

Seems like she would keep a low profile, being so abused and all. I know I kept a very low profile when I was in an abusive relationship, and it was nowhere near this magnitude.

    • Two sides to a story says:

You might interview if you held some power over him – if you knew what he told the world was not the truth. She probably would have been privy to many conversations with the Ostermans. Possibly they’re playing a dangerous game of tit for tat.

    • bettykath says:

She might not realize that she is abused. Since she comes from a dysfunctional family, she might not realize that their relationship is dysfunctional and that she is being abused. gz is an excellent liar. She may believe his bs that it’s all her fault.

    • Rachael says:

She’s kept a low profile. And it’s hard to do that when you’re in a high-profile position. When it was me it was a little easier just slip away then it is for her.

      • Mary Davis says:

@ Rachael. My point exactly. She kept a low profile after her perjury charge, so why the coming out now. I realize her perjury charge has been taken care of, but just seems to me she should not only be afraid of fogen, but his family as well as the hateful people at the outhouse. Anyway I smell a rat, a green rat. (money).

I believe she was encouraged to do this. Anyway time will tell.

Lets just see if the baby will be a boy or girl.

        • Soulcatcher says:

That imo would be the most terrible, selfish, cruel thing to do, to even think about bringing a child in this world. What kind of life would that child ever have. That should never be consideration.

    • Girlp says:

She may not be living with him or he’s taken off and left her to fend for herself. She would not state whether they lived together or not and she does not know that she wants to stay married to him. I’m waiting to see what happens next.

  12. Mary Davis says:

I’m willing to bet nobody at the outhouse believes her. Now that is saying a lot.

  13. Mary Davis says:

Remember her appearance at the trial and how she acted. If anybody falls for this sh**, hell, we might as well believe fogen.

  17. Keepemhonest says:

Mr. Leatherman, I have 3 questions for you:

    1) Does Shellie’s statement mean George’s dad, Robert Zimmerman Sr. lied when he was under oath and told the State Attorney that George had cooked Shellie dinner that night.

    From the audio tape http://trayvon.axiomamnesia.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Trayvon-Martin-George-Zimmerman-Audio-RZimmermanFDLE03192012.mp3

    Time stamp 1:39
ROBERT ZIMMERMAN Sr.: “George had cooked dinner for him and his wife and was going to the store. He goes to the store the same time every week.”

    2) Since Robert Zimmerman Sr was lying under oath to State Attorneys, can Robert Zimmerman Sr be charged with obstructing a criminal investigation?

    3) Since Robert Zimmerman Sr was lying under oath to State Attorneys, can Robert Zimmerman Sr be charged with Perjury?

    • willisnewton says:

      very good point!

I’ve always wondered who lied to whom within the family itself – did GZ tell his father – who was putting up his house as partial security for the original bond – that there was six figures in cash at their disposal?

Many other family members were involved in the money laundering/ hiding scheme and could have, and should have been charged with the crimes and made to turn upon one another by a good prosecutor. They would have raced to cut a deal IMO if the word had been let out that each was about to be indicted.

The father willingly repeated his son’s lies abut the supposed details of the physical altercation to the press, but we don’t know for certain if RZ sr knew they were lies when he said them. But this bit about GZ cooking dinner might not fall so easily into that category if it could be shown that he claimed personal knowledge of these events. But it sounds like he is probably just repeating something he heard from his (lying) son. He’s not claiming he was there to see any of this.

      • Valerie says:

According to Robert SR’s book…after the bond hearing…remember Shellie denied that there was money available…Robert SR. took his daughter Christina ?? outside and asked her whether Fogen/wife had money for the bond. Christina told him that they did. According to his book that is how he found out.

        • That’s probably a reference to George’s sister Grace, who was involved in the scam to hide the money. She parked some of it in her account and later transferred it back to him. She didn’t get in trouble because the transfer was not illegal and she did not testify at the bond hearing.

Shellie did not get in trouble for transferring the money; she got in trouble because she denied under oath that she knew about the money.

      • The money transfers did not violate the money laundering and structured transaction laws because the transactions were not in cash. Shellie is the only one who committed a crime and her crime was perjury because she denied knowing about the existence of the money.

      • Xena says:

I remember in one of the jailhouse calls that GZ told Shellie not to tell his parents because the donated money was for them. He only thought of himself.

Another thing, when he setup that website and Paypal account, he had not shared the info to access either with ShelLIE. Had he not been arrested, GZ would have been free with that money leaving the Osterman’s to financially support Shellie.

    • Rachael says:

maybe they got in the fight after dinner pfffttttt. it just pisses me off because there was talk that Trayvon had possibly been angry about something (like all young black men are, you know -sigh) which was why he “attacked” GZ, but having an argument bad enough for Shel’Lie to go stay with her dad, who was angry and possibly drunk/impaired? Come on GZ, you can tell us now. You can’t be tried for it again and we all know the truth anyway. Maybe we’ll see you in civil court. I hope so you murderer.

      • MDH says:

Having lived in Detroit and Silver Spring for decades of my 54 years on this planet, I have probably encountered thousands of young black males on the street, in the gym, in the park, in my home, and at the store. It is my observation that they tend to be kind of quiet. The only time they might be loud is when they are joking around with friends – not an unusual trait for any people.

I guess I need to have Frank Taffe as a mentor to teach me how they really are.

The Germans have a phrase for people like Taffe. Although it is a jibe at rural insularity, I think it does have some merit. I don’t know the German so I will give the translation:

The farmer don’t like what the farmer don’t know.

There was no logical reason for George to just get out of that damn SUV san gun and start a conversation with Trayvon. That is what a man does.

Which leads me to what a great mentor of mine once said:

What are you? A man or a mouse?

George sure looks like he eat a lot of cheese, doesn’t he?

    • The prosecution has made it pretty clear, given how they handled Shellie’s case, that they have closed the book on the Zimmerman clan.

Besides, the father probably could beat the charge by testifying that he believed he told the truth when he made those statements.

  18. jm says:

I have always thought ShelLIE was an unintelligent lazy lying beitch without a conscience. You can’t live with GZ without being mentally off balance. They are both scum.

    • Valerie says:

She’s a grifter…too happy to receive and transfer tens of thousands of dollars of blood money from paypay to her account while calling him “cutie” and “sweetie” on the coded jailhouse calls. She was very flippant about lying about the money and whether he was a violent person at the bond hearing. She wants her grifter husband back and her lure is this lucrative book deal…”look honey…tons of more money”. They are both snakes and do not have my sympathy.

    • ks says:

I’m sure it is! Heh. I can hear the whinging from here. I must admit that I do love that GZ’s “intellectual supporters” are flailing. First they tried to spin away the juror interviews away from the obvious conclusion that the jury decision was suspect and blamed the media, then they ignored the Taffee outing and are now trying to downplay SZ’s perjury plea and interview.

We are slowly but surely being proven right and they the opposite. I suspect it will all come out sooner rather than later because GZ himself will implode sooner rather than later.

  20. Somebody flipped her. Who, Why & What for..

  21. Mojo says:

I’m hoping that unlike here husband she has a conscience and that she knows what happened that night, she feels guilty, and she’ll spill her guts in a tell-all book. Even after that the Zidiots will still proclaim him a hero and will dismiss whatever she says as sour grapes

  22. I have a question about the guns. Can she have a gun on probation? Anybody know the terms? Not a chance in hell he’ll give up his guns while she is on probation. Can there be guns in the house? Yes or no?

    • Thrace says:

No. Can’t own or carry one. Has to receive permission to own any weapon. Didn’t see anything spelled out about others she might reside with and guns.

  23. I thought it was strange that, in her letter she cited to a passage from John, but then said she couldn’t remember what it said. Why not pick up the nearest bible and look it up? There should be plenty of bibles laying around, seeing how she is such an ultra-religious Christian.

I thought that was bizarre, but maybe it’s just me.

    • Trained Observer says:

No, it’s not just you, Crane. She was seriously scripted. Probably wouldn’t know a passage in John from a yacht with two johns.

    • Judy75201 says:

What she said was that she had forgotten the passage, i.e., not lived by it. “…the truth will set you free.”

      • Xena says:

        @Judy75201.

What she said was that she had forgotten the passage, i.e., not lived by it. “…the truth will set you free.”

I could preach ShelLIE a sermon. The beginning of that verse sets the foundation for why the truth sets free. It’s staying in the words of Jesus Christ to know the truth, in order to be set free by that truth.

Jesus Christ did not carry a weapon. He killed no one, even when the law of Moses said otherwise.

When the Roman soldiers came to arrest Jesus Christ, Peter drew his sword and cut the ear of one. Jesus reached forth his hand and restored the ear. Jesus Christ taught not to return evil for evil. He also taught that the man who wants to save his life for this world, will lose it.

Wonder if Shellie believes that Jesus would have killed, even in self-defense? That’s a very important question for her to ponder because he who has power to resurrect the dead did not kill anyone. GZ does not have that power, yet killed an unarmed kid.

        • Judy75201 says:

I would love nothing more than for you to preach her a sermon, Xena.

        • racerrodig says:

          • Xena says:

@racerrodig. You could be right. Junior is between a rock and hard place with the Bible verses because those White Supremacists that he hangs out with on the radio and who cling to their talking point Bible verses, are hateful against homosexuals. They will use him to promote the WSA, but burn a cross in front of his house if he doesn’t say what they want.

      • Well if the truth is so ‘freeing,’ why did she refuse to answer the simple question, “Are you living together?”

Again I’d like to suggest looking at the very real possibility that SZ was the first (and possibly only) person to see trayvon enter the complex or that she alone spotted him walking in te direction of the clubhouse somewhere in the vicinity of frank taafe’s 1600 block of RVC and that she then called GZ who arrived somewhat later in his own car and had to drive around a bit before discovering TM at the mail kiosk.

GZ was deliberately vague about the early events that’s night and slipped up when asked to make it more coherent where he, Trayvon and his car was at each juncture in the time before exiting his car. The obvious reason for this is that he’s got things to hide about what really happened.

Were it true that SZ was the tipoff person the each member of the Marriage has information that could be damaging to the other. For all we know she is an accessory to murder or at the minimum is hiding evidence or information concerning the investigation.

    • Trained Observer says:

boyd — that trailer reference dates to immediately after Fogen got out on bond from his initial arrest after Trayvon’s murder, and before his bond revocation over his potted palm silence and She-Lie’s lying to the court over the phone about his assets. That’s when Fogen, dummy that he is, spent a wad of money on a backwoods landline.

She’s not claiming they’re hanging out in deep in the woods now. I don’t think any book she’d write would be a blockbuster as far as sales are concerned, and I doubt any advance would sufficiently substantial to keep her going for more than a few months. Remember She-Lie, not known for brains, spent defense donation on iTunes hits and cosmetics. .

      • willisnewton says:

I agree that the stay by the two at any trailer I the woods was not recent. Keep in mind this is a convicted perjurer we are speaking about and one who has ever reason to manipulate the truth continually and forever. It is possible the two haven’t spent any nights together in a year or more. But it’s also possible they each are implicated in a murder in varying degrees and thus cannot fully ever break up.

    • Thrace says:

I’m inclined to believe what I’ve heard so far…with the idea there might be some $$$ deal in the works. ABC world news and Nightline are suppose to play more tonight. I’ll wait and see what else is released. If I was Shellie I would highly po’ed that not one of the Zim clan showed their face in support of her. When her grandmother, herself and a couple other relatives of her’s were in court almost everyday of GZ’s trial.

His jailhouse calls were evidence to me that he was an asshole. She’s out running errands for him and he’s calling Gracie talking bad about Shellie. Once an abuser usually always an abuser and I suspect Shellie was finding that out just before he shot Trayvon. The deposition of GZ’s ex-fiancee probably was an eyeopener for Shellie too.

      • willisnewton says:

Her best bet to cash in would be to sell a book proposal that implicates her soon to be ex-husband in the crimes he’s committed. Let’s hope her greed overcomes her stupidity once again.

I don’t actually see that happening but I do feel vindicated for openly speculating about the state of their marriage all during the run up to the trial and then during the trial itself. These two people are stuck with one another but clearly are unhappy about the fact. I suspect it’s only a “mutual destruction” pact that keeps them associated with one another.

        • Thrace says:

I’d imagine she’s getting advice from family members about her future. As it appears GZ has flown the coop. I know the Zim’s are all about publicity and raking in the bucks but I don’t think they would have been on board with this interview. She’s broke and tainted, her family is probably picking up her atty bill and supporting her. GZ is in the wind running from family member to family member thinking he’s getting a big payout down the line that may never actually happen. If he gets a couple hundred thousand out of FL – big deal won’t last him long. His nationally known reputation will still be around after he’s blown thru that money.

          • Trained Observer says:

I don’t think her family has a deep pocket to underwrite her legal expenses. The 200k being sought by O’Mara goes for court costs, depo expenses, etc., not to Trayvon’s murderer. Fogen’s likely counting on a settlement from the NBC suit or a spokesman gig for a gun manufacturer, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

          • Two sides to a story says:

I doubt her legal expenses were huge. Probably under 10k.

          • Trained Observer says:

Well, 10k’s a lot of money when you ain’t got none. Gets even more expensive if put on a credit card.

If Fogen is picking up her tab with some of his defense fund money, that could explain her reticense in revealing all.

          • lurker says:

Thanks for the reminder, TO. Has anything happened with the NBC suit now that the trial’s over?

          • IIRC, the civil suit was dismissed without prejudice due to pending criminal prosecution. I think the next move has to be by GZ’s lawyers to refile the lawsuit. Whether they will do that is unknown.

The problems with the lawsuit are lack of causation and speculative damages. I doubt GZ can prove that NBC’s alleged misconduct caused him any harm.

    • racerrodig says:

If she wrote a book and stated what we all know is the truth and spills the beans, it will sell millions. Imagine a book telling about his shit and how the State of FL screwed up the investigation and trial.

I’d bet everyone who followed this would buy that book. She needs to tell the Feds what really happened, testify at the Federal trial, dump his ass, write the book & move on.

  26. bettykath says:

I wonder bout the laws re: spouse testifying against spouse. If they divorce, can sz testify against gz in fed or civil trial? Or are private spousal communications protected even if they are no longer married? Perhaps they are ignornt of the nuances of that law and gz wants to keep her in his box until after the threat or actuality of further litigation is over. Perhaps her coyness is a way of letting him know that she has some demands (blackmail) to keep her silence.

    • Girlp says:

If she does Sr and Jr will do everything they can to do to malign her, and they would have CTH on her case just like W9 and I believe she knows it.

        • Girlp says:

Hmmmm the s**thouse beat O’Mara? I guess he’ll have something to say too….if he doesn’t then maybe he’s through with Fogen.

          • Thrace says:

Brother and media whore Robjr has been silent about it on twitter. Been keeping an eye on it today and nothing about Shellie.

Omara might not say anything to fan any flames since he’s wanting to get money out of the State of FL still.

    • racerrodig says:

One spouse can testify against the other, they can’t be forced or court ordered to.

In fact, if she is afraid of him, her best bet is telling the Feds what she knows and if they are still looking into a hate crime aspect, they can protect her.

      • fauxmccoy says:

      • Malisha says:

She knows what was on his texting on his phone; she knows how often he used the “N” word even AFTER murdering Trayvon Martin; she knows plenty that is still (presumably) in play.

    • pat deadder says:

I believe fogen received a lot of donations in cash and omara said he was getting monthly payments from the trust fund.
I have often wondered why fogen had someone else call his wife the night of the killing.Maybe shelly was not answering when she saw his number displayed.
God I wish she would just come clean but fogen knows no matter what she has been convicted of perjury so nothing she says in a court would be believed.

  27. Valerie says:

I do not believe Omara or Shellie has seen hide nor hair of Fogen since his acquittal.I believe when Omara came out and said Fogen was owed hundreds of thousands of dollars from the state due to his acquittal was his way of saying “hey G___,give me a call”. Now Shellie comes out with “I lied for you, went through so much with you, you didn’t bother to come to my hearing, however, I haven’t made up my mind on rather I should just ditch you:” G___ please call me”. Fogen was set free with a truck load of money and Omara wants to get paid and Shellie’s prediction of him Living the good life has come true. George has gone rogue on both Omara and Shellie.

    • willisnewton says:

That’s a valid a theory as any Valerie as we are all left to speculate here.

He has a history of running off with money and leaving his lawyer(s) to take legal means to retrieve their funds owed. But keep in mind that MOM administered a trust that held at least some of the money that came in. We don’t know how long that was kept up, or where else GZ may have been getting donated money from.

    • pat deadder says:

Valerie Everything you said makes a lot of sense.

    • Thrace says:

Just watched a little more of the interview on World News. By golly, I believe you’re right Valerie – he’s gone on walkabout. She was asked if George had changed she answered yes, but refused to state how. Lets see what’s new on Nightline later.

    • Soulcatcher says:

Yes, Valerie, I think your theory sounds pretty good. I can’t imagine they are together and she is on tv with his blessing. Even if they were trying to work out things, she wouldn’t be talking about their marriage on tv. No way would George be okay with even the little she did say.

Either he’s out of the picture, or there in it together trying to make some money, either way Shellie is holding back, my guess is for money. I agree, he probably left her high and dry, and this is her way of letting him know if he thinks he’s going to leave her with nothing after sticking by his side, after running her self esteem down to nothing, it’s no going to happen this time. I’d go as far to say his media stunt to the gun factory is a way to let her know he’s getting a new gun, possibly to make her feal threatened. A game of chicken perhaps, he know she can spill the beans, and she is saying try me.

  28. willisnewton says:

I think there is a strong possibility that her 645 call to GZ was the tipoff. While I can t prove that, it fits a lot of puzzle pieces including these new ones.

Each spouse holds blackmail worthy info against the other. They are stuck with one another but have separate and competing interests.

Lots to discuss here but that’s Myron points to start from. In speculating its worthwhile I feel to imagine from SZ’s POV the idea that she is the one who first spotted TM entering via the shortcut or else proceeding towards the clubhouse around 645. She arguably an accessory to murder if there were a way to prove this was true.

  29. Judy75201 says:

I lean toward believing her. I recall one of their jail-house discussions, where she said “you could have a good life” (paraphrasing). She did not include herself. That makes me think her self-esteem was indeed low and I would bet that the pig is the reason why. Her attorney has certainly seemed to indicate that she is “awakening”, and seems glad of it.

Also, as I’ve said before, I’m a Pollyanna.

  30. crazy1946 says:

I wonder if co-speaking on the gun show circuit is considered “community service”? What other kind of community service would Shel-lie be qualified to do out of state? She and Fogdoit are planning a rich life together, and will say anything that it takes to get their hands on money, they already have the murder part done, they have some of the lying part done, they stole money from their land lord, so they have part of the stealing part done, what do they do next? Bonnie and Clyde won’t work, they are too cowardly for that, Maybe they can become TV Evangelist’s? They might fit right in with that bunch, lot’s of money to be made in that endeavor!! Or maybe they can become Politicians, that would be a natural fit…. However if they were actually smart, they would flee to Peru and hide, before the boogie man gets them….

  32. crazy1946 says:

Is this a trick question? Hmmm, do I believe Shel-lie? I spent the time to listen to the interview, then listened to selected clips from the interview, and my answer is simple, “NO”! The whole interview reeks of the words of the Fogdoit. It seems to have been written and directed by the Fogdoit, all that is missing is the link to the donation site that has been/will be set up to aid Shel-lie escape from the Fogdoit. Nothing that this clan of liars, thieves and murderers is done for no reason, and I suspect that as with everything else that they have done, money is the motivation… Watch for it soon, the “Help Poor Little Down Trodden Shel_le With Her Living Expenses/Legal Expenses While She Is Separated From Her Abusive Husband” money site… Wonder how much the fools will send to that one, only time will tell…

    • Trained Observer says:

She-Lie comes, as stated elsewhere on this thread from a family of law breakers, and I don’t believe she can fall back on them for financial support. In fact, they may be encouraging her to stick with old money-bags Fogen.

I also believe She-Lie has reason to fear not only Fogen but also his disgusting mother, bother and father as well. She has seen them pull strings and likely worries they could ruin any chance she has of getting a job to support herself.

For sure, She-Lie’s in a pickle. Leave Fogen and she’s likely all alone and vulnerable to others who would take advantage of her.

Stick with him and she’ll expose herself to more abuse and endless trouble that without a doubt lies ahead.

Fogen was right about one thing: “My wife’s a mess.”

  33. “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.”

  34. bettykath says:

I believe ny relationship w/ gz is abusive in way or another. It’s going to take awhile for Shellie to realize that gz is busive and that there is nothing she can do to fix it except to leave to sve herself. It will take additional time away from him for her to heal enough to tell the truth, first to herself, nd more time to tell the truth to others. So, no, I don’t believe we are hearing the truth as we define it. We are hearing “her” truth as she knows it. She is also being evsive on some things where she hasn’t figured out the independent reality, for exmple, she doesn’t know if she will stay with gz or not. Her nswer ws evasive imo b/c she is considering leving him but hasn’t mde up her mind.

  35. Danita says:

I don’t believe anything she say’s at all. I no that this case has been a money making deal for Mr and Mrs Zimmerman. She supports her husband still she didn’t really say much against him she said she always wants support from her husband, she said that was not georges way….really and then she really went hard with how she wishes circumstances could have been different, meaning all the media attention. I believe she’s fine with who her hubby is she knew who he was before she married him. I believe she is taking her turn.A real woman with integrity would never speak against her husband in the aftermath nor would she put herself on TV there was no reason that I can think of for that interview none.

    • type1juve says:

There is one reason. She’s promoting a book and it’s all about the money with this family. They intend to ride this money train until the wheels fall off. I don’t believe a word she says since it all appears scripted to me.

      • willisnewton says:

Were she actively promoting a book, I’d think a publisher would have announced the deal already and the book would be available shortly. I think the reporter, Christi O’Connor is just savvy enough to have hit her up at the right moment with what she wanted – a platform to speak a few words to the nation and also to her AWOL husband.

Although reporters sometimes pay an “appearance fee” for interviews I am doubtful this one was very lucrative if any money actually changed hands at all. I am guessing SZ saw this as an opportunity to “come clean” (not really, she’s lying of course) and redeem her reputation after getting her plea deal worked out. In other words, she knew she’d been in the media spotlight and the reporter appealed to her vanity and scored an exclusive.

        • Malisha says:

This was done to make serving Fogen harder; she wants to announce that her address, which must be revealed to the probation department, is not HIS address, so the civil case cannot be served upon him at her residence. It’s part of the cover-up.

          • Xena says:

@Malisha. Chances are that the feds have had GZ tracked by satellite since day one.

As far as service for a civil suit, he is still represented by counsel. If O’Mara is not going to accept service, then an alias summon can be granted or even service by publication.

Default judgments are still available to plaintiffs.

GZ cannot hide from judicial action.

    • J4TMinATL says:

I agree. If she is so afraid of him she wouldn’t be on TV.

      • @J4TMinATL:

  37. Rob_UK says:

She said she believed his claim of self-defense and did not believe he profiled and murdered Trayvon because that is “not his way.”

To believe it was self-defense, she must believe that Trayvon Martin was a rage-filled, unhinged, vicious, thug with super Negro strength, that launched a crazed, savage attack on her husband for no reason, where he repeatedly punched him, smashed his head into the sidewalk, tried to smother him and then coldly informed him that he was going to die that night when he saw her husband’s gun and then tried to grab it so he could murder him with it, forcing her husband to get it first and shoot him in the heart in “self-defense” to save his life.

  38. Marsha says:

I seem to remember reading that one of GZ’s old girlfriends came forward and said that he had contacted her after his marriage and wanted to get back together.

  39. Rachael says:

Yes I do trust her. I believe she’s a woman involved in an abusive relationship and she lied initially because she loved her man. She’s not lying now she’s just not saying anything and I think it’s because she’s still not free of a min she scared of him I mean look this guy has some kind of bizarre power. He gets away with everything. Having been conditioned by a crazy man like that myself I was terrified all the time that people were watching me and he was a nobody. I believe they worded argument that night. I believe she basically did say she has a temper without actually using those words. And I believe he was drunk or impaired that night looking for trouble cause he was upset because his wife was staying with her dad. why she was afraid to come forth before is for what seems to me obvious reasons and I think she’s still scared she’s abused woman and it’s going to be hard for her to get away from his influence. I think one day she will tell the truth though. it took me 20 years to “confess” and my thing wasn’t publicized all over the world. im not saying itcwas ok, but I believe thst is what it is. she would have been fortunate had he gone to prison. then she’d have her chance to get away. ots not as easy now.

    • lurker says:

It was interesting that she said ‘that’s not his way,’ when asked if she believed that he profiled Trayvon, followed and murdered. One interpretation (mine) is that he doesn’t operate that rationally. He didn’t think anything through. He just saw and acted. Pretty sure he must have treated her the same. She’s probably smarter than he is, if should could work free of him.

    • I think you make a lot sense Rachel. It is very difficult to get free of an abusive relationship.
People in these abusive situations can come to believe this is all normal . I know that sounds really sick.
For those who do leave and start over they often look back years later and see just how crazy it all was.

    • elcymoo says:

I do think she was truthful about some things, but didn’t tell the whole truth about several things. For instance, they certainly weren’t hiding out in a trailer in the woods for much of the time that GZ was free. Although she said that he’d never hit her, that doesn’t mean that he never resorted to his old m.o. of pushing and shoving, and the beating down of her self-esteem implied verbal abuse. I’m sure that she’s not with him at present, and that she is in fear of him ~ which may be one of the reasons for his interest in acquiring even more guns. She won’t be allowed to have one for her own protection while she’s on probation.

      • lurker says:

I believe the trailor in the woods was when he was allowed to out of state, and possibly just before the arrest. Seems I recall O’M citing the expense of putting in a land line to comply with reporting requirements.

  40. Feb 2013
Her attorney maintains Zimmerman’s innocence. “Looks to me like Shellie’s not guilty,” said Ken Sims during a TV interview. He says that Zimmerman is doing better now than she was when the whole murder case began. “She’s getting stronger…she wasn’t strong to begin with, but she’s growing up in a hurry.

    ____________________________________________________
Always thought this comment that she is getting stronger and growing up in a hurry was interesting.

  41. lurker says:

Well, as her attorney said, she is getting stronger. But getting free is a long process. It’s anyone’s guess how much self esteem she brought with her, but manipulators and abusers operate by getting inside their victims’ heads, reframing their beliefs and self image.

Not only has George been absent from her court case, but there was no interaction between the two when his verdict was announced, not a look or a nod, let alone a hug. I can only imagine how terrifying it must have been to go ‘into hiding’ with him in a trailor in the woods. Isolation with a paranoid and manipulative, not to mention armed, hubby–whether there was any outside danger or not must have been near to insanity.

It’s going to take her a good long while to get this man out of her head, once she decides to do so.

BTW, I was amused when the announcer said gz has been laying low since the trial. Let’s see. Just over a month and he has staged a heroic rescue, been caught and let go speeding and posed for pics at a gun factory. Hate to see if he wasn’t laying low,eh?

Also BTW, I think that the fact that his gun was manufactured in Florida may work in his favor when it comes to federal prosecution. It is my understanding that interstate commerce is broadly defined when guns are involved so that owning, selling or using a gun that has ever crossed a state line can bring the feds in.

“Well, as her attorney said, she is getting stronger.”

I haven’t done a rewrite in some time, but this must be SheLie’s new favorite song……

      I don’t believe in you
And I know you don’t believe in me
      Oh yeah Oh yeah
      And now we realize
Love’s not all that it’s supposed to be
      Oh yeah Oh yeah

And knowing that he would have wanted it his way
I do believe I’m feelin’ stronger every day

      I know we really tried
      Together we had love inside
      Oh yeah Oh yeah
So now the time has come
For both of us to live on the run
      Oh yeah Oh yeah

And knowing that you would have wanted it this way
I do believe I’m feelin’ stronger every day
Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah

After what you’ve meant to me
      Ooh baby now
      I can make it easily
      Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know that we both agree
Best thing to happen to you
The best thing that happened to me
      Yeah, yeah, yeah

      Feelin’ stronger every day
      Feelin’ stronger every day
      Feelin’ stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin’ stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin’ stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin’ stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin’ stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin stronger every day
      (You know I’m alright now)
      Feelin’ stronger every day

  42. Trained Observer says:

So she wants to “own” her mistakes. I love it when morons attempt to talk trendy with phrases and terms they’ve picked up from their legal support system.

OK, SheLie, now here’s what you need to tell da judge.

  43. Girlp says:

I don’t believe she has processed all of this or the trial she still loves Fogen and still want’s to see him in a positive light, however I believe she might be ready to leave him and his family. Maybe later on she will have a clearer vision of who she was married to.

    • lurker says:

I agree. Letting go of the hope that things will get better can be very difficult for anyone. If she has actually been living with him–in hiding and isolation for the last year, she’s lucky to have two brain cells left to rub together.

      • Girlp says:

Also, she has been there for years her father is an ex-con,also, conditioned by this family I’m waiting to see if she wants to go in another direction after seeing what she has to live with the rest of her life unless Fogen decides to trade her in for a newer model.

  44. KA says:

Narcissists do not make good husbands. I do know some people that were married to narcissists, none of them were happy or had any control in the relationship.

I believe her marriage was miserable and in jail calls AND the other 911 calls she obviously had no control over him as she begged him not to go out there (knowing he had a gun and would).

  45. Xena says:

    Do you trust Shellie Zimmmerman?

No way, no how. She apologized to Trayvon’s parents but said nothing about the lie she had her friend tell in effort to have Tracy sequestered from the courtroom. There’s no compassion there.

ShelLIE is probably alone and broke, and has not stood on her own two feet since she married that clown. She is crippled and if he promises her money, she will lean on him again.

    • racerrodig says:

The conversations between them must be pricele$$…..

      SheLie “Where are you going……..??”

      Fogen “……um…out, why?”

SheLie “The house has a flat tire and the dishes keep sliding, you need to fix it”

Fogen “….um, in case you haven’t noticed….I was acquitted and you pled. I told ya the world loves us…..well me maybe”

SheLie “Why can’t you just try to get a job and live like a normal person”

      Fogen “……um, I’m not normal”

SheLie “Well, where are you going then”

Fogen “Oh, I’m going to Kel-Tek and try to con them, er, look at some new guns”

SheLie “I thought we agreed, no ,more guns, that’s what got us in all this trouble.”

      Fogen “You’re in trouble….I……was……acquitted !!” (smirks)

      SheLie (wielding frying pan)

      Fogen “um…..you wouldn’t (booooooongg)

      SheLie “………and stay down !!”

  46. Trained Observer says:

The part where Mrs. Fogen claims says she was “two months short” of a registered nursing degree is fascinating. Exactly where has she gone to nursing school where she would qualify for an R.N.

You don’t become licensed a a registered nurse by signing up for an online diploma mill.

    • KA says:

I noticed that too She had not been in school since 2010 and was not close to finishing.

    • Girlp says:

University of Phenoix has a program but I think you have to be near one of their campuses. There are 2 here and believe it or not many companies hire their graduates and their nurses…I know of a traveling nurse that got her RN (Degree) from them. However not sure she is telling the truth about becoming a nurse.

      • Xena says:

@Girlp. It was Herzing University online, and they have no online courses for nursing. The amount of time she had left before graduating was also inconsistent.

        • bettykath says:

Wish the music hdn’t been added. I cn’t hear the words. damn “a” sticks so if a vowel seems missing in my posts, assume it’s an a.

          • Xena says:

@bettykath. Sorry about that. Re: the music. At times, it’s the only way of preventing certain folks from editing out attribution frames and re-loading it on their channel, presenting it as their own creation.

          • bettykath says:

Thanks for the post and thanks for the reason for the music. Can you control the volume so it isn’t quite as loud?

          • Xena says:

@bettykath. I and my assistant will try to do a better job. 🙂

        • Girlp says:

Not surprised she lied, still on the fence about her and Fogen I’m waiting to see what happens. I do remember she comes from a family of law breakers.

        • ay2z says:

Oops, did S lie to Judge Alva (sp?) about how many years of school? Seems if you have had x number of years of school over and above high school, you know exactly what ‘x’ stands for.

          • Xena says:

@ay2z. Just goes to show how ashamed ShelLIE and George are of themselves that they have to lie about their education.

      • riisey007 says:

You have to have a sponsoring hospital for clinicals. Most of those schools are for current nurses seeking a bachelors because you can’t become a nurse without clinical hours.

      • tharealkeisha says:

You have to be an LPN, paramedic or previous nursing student with clinical experience to do the RN program.

    • William Walton says:

Tell me about it. My Dad an MD as well as other physicians on staff at the hospital taught nursing students. The reason for the hospitals to become teaching hospitals is that nursing students just like medical students must complete clinical courses. In otherwords being with and evaluating patients. Cannot do this online.

    • @Trained Observer:

Mrs. Fogen is a pathological liar just like her lying socio-pathic husband! Two months short of her RN degree? What college or University did she attend? As someone who knows the procedure adn protocol which still applies today: Being an RN and NP for over 20 years, you do not become a licensed nurse by following those schools on the Internet! (Those schools are for nurses who have their RN’s and are trying to acquire their BSN, MA or Doc.). You have to do the interneships at various hospitals, nursing homes and clinic’s! You have to be able to apply what you learned in the classroom in those facilities! You have to show that you know how to administer an injection, or regulate an IV, or start an IV. You have to be able to adminiser medications and do a whole host of procedures effectively!

Mrs Fogen is a liar and she is just as complicit with what Fogen did! Cry me a river! I see woman who have it worse than she has and they are not whining and crying on television. They have the backbone to start over and get counseling and to leave those abusive husbands! I do not want to hear it SHELLIE!

      • Trained Observer says:

Deborah — You won’t get any argument from me on those points.

The closest she came with the “two months” shy statement was two months away from possibly passing an online course that just might have rewarded her with a worthless certificate claiming she was qualified to empty bed pans — if she could have gotten a medical facility to hire and train her.

Can anyone imagine someone of her intellect, or lack thereof, in charge of an ailing patient’s care or dosing out medication? Very scary.

    • ladystclaire says:

@T.O, you are correct in your comment about Mrs. Perjury. There is “NO” such thing, as getting a nursing degree online! These people, just can’t help lying.

There will come a time, when one would have to do clinicals and, they are always done under the supervision of ones teacher. They’ve both got liars disease.

    • elle says:

I don’t think she knows the difference between and RN and a nurse’s aide. I really think she is that stupid.

  47. KA says:

I have thought, since the release of the jail tapes, that GZ was an abuser and she had near no self esteem. Her verbiage with him and her position in “his” issue was clear that she had no power or control or even happiness in the relationship. Her jail calls, when she said “YOU..are going to have a great life” was deliberate and telling. I believe they were already planning to break up or separate before the shooting. I believe he was going to flee without her. They never mentioned “HER” passport in the conversation. He was ditching without him.

I do not believe they ever mentored any kids, and with the tactics they were using in trial with calling non associated and non qualified neighbors and friends as “expert” witnesses, they would have SURELY included any parent of kids they were “mentoring” as alibis for the evening and to ID those “screams”. They never existed. He could care less about black kids and was, in fact, hostile to them. That was obvious. Mentor’s feel responsible for improving life for others, not judging them sight unseen.

Do I believe her? Not in everything, but I do feel with his situation and her relationship with him, she is letting little nuggets out. She hurt and scorned. We will hear more about it.

  48. ay2z says:

And the apology to Trayvon’s parents, exact workind gz used, ‘sorry for their loss’. Carefully worded.

And Q about her husband not in court, did you want him there? Answer is slick andprepared “I always want my husbands support’. She did not answer the question, nice side step.

  49. ay2z says:

Anybody see the Z couple go off on a reconciliation tour of the country, doing their god’s work, beginning with the church community service that her lawyer said in court, might need to go nationwide?

Yes, Sims said it as he argued for permissions for her to travel not cust locally, but thruought the state, even outside the state, could be across the nation, he argued.

    • Trained Observer says:

Maybe these two can go to Peru to spread their version on the word of god. …

And was that a little giggle in her voice when she said she “wished to god” the “circumstances had been different.” ????

      • Trained Observer says:

Like, dang, if only Trayvon had been armed and had a big long rap sheet and had been my husband’s age, we wouldn’t have had to go through all this aggravation.

        • Two sides to a story says:

I hope she’s not that disgusting!

          • Trained Observer says:

Well, remember these two joked during their jailhouse phone chatting about how Fogen had a hoodie to wear. While on one is a murderer, they are both disgusting. She’s better at disguising it. Especially with Kelly Sims’ guidance.

  50. ay2z says:

    ThassssRIGHT!!

I just visited OS’s front page, where they have the video posted. Shelle Zimmerman is true to form if we believe that when you have to look away from a person while answering their question you may not be being truthful.

watch her, eyes up to her right for ever question.

And watch her crack a little smile (a smile??) when she finishes her answer about whther she will stay married to her husband.

“… have to think about it :;) ”

    Really? Not a nervous smile,.

Xena, all this sure goes to a theory similar to yours about the business plan of the Z’s.

Can you capture her series of lies that constituted a misdemenour in front of Judge Lester? And add Ms. Coy’s cupie pink lips and her eyes telling more in the interivew?

(btw, that make up was the same colour pink, just thicker, as on the interviewer’s lips, and same eye make up, just more pronouced rings around eyes. So ABC did it for both. (matching colours, so sweet with an ‘investigative’ journalist. Hmm….

    • Xena says:

      @ay2z.

Can you capture her series of lies that constituted a misdemenour in front of Judge Lester? And add Ms. Coy’s cupie pink lips and her eyes telling more in the interivew?

Be happy too. Only one problem — the sound on the bond hearing recording is not good. But, I’ll see if I can find another one under “fair use” that is better.

      It’ll be fun. 🙂

  51. Marsha says:

I distrust anything she says because she is a convicted perjurer. However, I think it is very likely that George is an abusive husband and I expect that more is going to come out about him and their life together that will surprise none of us who post here.

  52. Trained Observer says:

    She’s trash. He’s murdering trash.

Dummies that they are, they’re both being mentored, tutored, nurtured and led around by the nose by assorted attorneys, media types, and others just plain looking to make a buck off their notoriety.

Do I believe her on any of this? Don’t know. I’d like to see her interviewed by a pro, not some nobody in the midst of writing a book.

    • ay2z says:

Watch her eyes, TO. And about the book writing? Yep, matching pink lips and all with the interviewer, if that’s not a clue to a soft pretty pink interview style, what is? Just like Hannity.

    • willisnewton says:

Christi O ‘Connor has a long television career as an anchor and “investigative reporter” in some large markets, including Dallas and San
Francisco. I’d not dismiss her yet.

First off, she’s gained access which is more than others have been able to accomplish. it’s a dance she’s doing with the devil to continue receiving access if she’s wise. Time will tell.

      • Two sides to a story says:

“Time will tell” is a good way to put it. I can see how she might be co-dependent.. I spent four years with an angry, controlling sociopath at her age. She might be different than he is and waking up or she could be the devil’s mistress. I wish her well if she chooses to part ways with Fogen.

        • Xena says:

With ShelLIE being unemployed, she had/has no money of her own and is financially dependent on GZ. That might have been what they argued about that was so intense that she went to her dad’s house.

Something else to think about — a man who cannot pay his bills has enough money to pay membership dues to a fight gym???!!!!

      • Trained Observer says:

Willis — OK, she gets points for gaining access. But being a local anchor in markets like Dallas or San Fran does not put her in league with the 60 -minutes crew, Anderson Cooper, or any top-rung print investigative reporters. We’ll see.

        • Xena says:

@Trained Observer. Investigative journalists are a dying art. Anderson Cooper is not an investigative reporter. He’s simply a television reporter. Don’t get me wrong — I like him.

We have seen the difference between investigative and general reporters all during GZ’s case. The general reporters could not discern between what discovery and GZ’s statements provided, as opposed to what O’Mara was saying to the media.

Investigative reporters go over documents, talk with people involved, etc., so that when they interview and report, they are knowledgeable of the case or situation they are reporting. General reporters simply report what is told to them.

Because most print media now limits reporters to 500 words or less, investigative reporters have to write series, or books, or blog to avoid editorial limitations.

  53. racerrodig says:

Uno…..& I trust her as far as I can throw my truck.
