that little brown girl sitting behind the defense is so easy on the eyes. She is the defense’s double threat optic.

  2. Malisha says:

Last night my computer went down because I was listening to LLMPapa’s video and whenever I listen to something with sound, it has a tendency to go down. (I’ll have to figure that out, but it worked in a certain way last night that I will have to not fuss about, you’ll see why.) (Greetings to my blogfriends, I am asking in advance for indulgence from Professor and all of you, this is not one of my humorous or sarcastic posts.)

I was so tired I went to sleep accidentally when all I meant to do was rest a few minutes before I rebooted my computer. Fell completely out, crossed the Styx, was working through some mental videos, deep river, deeeeeeeep river.

About 3 a.m. (never checked, but the quality of light –) I came out of the depth to hear, “put him on a pedestal…” in O’Mara’s fakey-pretend-mastersoftheuniverse voice. Like a hypnogogic vision, I saw letters spring up as if in an LLMPapa or Xena video:

“They were putting him on a pedestal and he was just an ordinary kid.” [I’m not even sure that was the quote verbatim, maybe a close paraphrase, but the word “pedestal” is there]

I fell back to sleep. Many years later I half woke again. Trayvon Martin had grown up by that time, from age barely 17 to age barely 17 plus several dream-hours. He wore a grey hoodie and a “button” and he was tall and lanky and he stood on a pedestal.

He was speaking on his cell phone. I couldn’t hear what he said and he didn’t notice me. I tried to throw some characters on stage with him (NOT Fogen and NOT anyone toxic or dangerous) but they kept falling off the stage before they could speak their lines because they were asleep. So I dropped back to sleep too, and tried to get the scene together, because I was the director. There was not much time to get this thing produced; the light was coming.

Worked hard with those actors but they were just too tired to perform. One of them finally got totally discouraged and told me, “Do it your damn self if you aren’t satisfied with this.”

But my muscles wouldn’t tense and I couldn’t get my stage voice together. I thought, “what if I were just writing this, just blogging it?” Then I realized that could be done, but it would dissolve — the words would melt away with the slanted sunlight of morning because I couldn’t type in that condition, and I thought them with ever increasing intensity like a teabag that steeps so long all the essence becomes darkwater: Who do you think you are?

Addressed the now dematerializing voice of O’Mara (“VOM”):

Yes we are putting Trayvon Martin on a pedestal and you can’t stop that; you can’t change that; you can’t do shit about it.

Stand there, puff-eyes, and take it. Yes I’m talking to you. (Hey you know what, VOM: those puffs under your eyes are a sign. I’m making a prediction. Your kidneys are deteriorating. Check it out.)

Stand there and take it. He’s dead. But he’s on a pedestal and you can’t get him off. THAT is your problem now and you can’t solve it.

    WHY?

When you kill somebody (oh yes I know YOU didn’t kill him but YOU’RE the one who’s enraged that he’s on a pedestal, ain’t?) you don’t get to dictate their placement after the fact. Got that?

So your client doesn’t get to change the location of what Galbreath called “Mr. Martin’s body” from 40 feet south of where his alleged nogginbumps occurred to a more convenient location.

And your fan club doesn’t get to change the location of Trayvon Martin’s cell phone GPS to the point of some heinous crime in the midst of which a great white hope redeemed his white-robed klan.

And your fairy tales don’t get to dominate everybody else’s understanding of what happened that night and your personal creation of some “post-trial SYG hearing” doesn’t get to rewrite Florida law or the US Constitution and you just can’t get that dead kid down off his pedestal because that’s what happens when you try to fool all the people at the wrong time.

You can’t get the “dead kid” off the pedestal with a story of allegedly stolen costume jewelry; you can’t get him off there with a story about a contraband screwdriver; you can’t knock down his image with an effin empty baggie that might at one time have contained some dried leaves of a plant your favorite cops are fond of planting on Black kids; you can’t get him off that pedestal with a fake story about an assault on a non-existent bus-driver who doesn’t show up to confirm or deny; you can’t get him off that pedestal with silly church-lady gasps about a photograph with an “underage girl” and you can’t get him off there with a photograph of a Black hand holding a gun that you cannot prove was loaded and you can’t get him off there with a potted plant and you can’t get him off there with a giggling video of grown-ups acting badly and you can’t get him off that pedestal VOM, ha ha you cannot do it; you cannot pry his dead feet off that vision of pedestal and you never — listen up VOMBUG: NEVER will be able to do that. All sitings of your efforts to get him off that pedestal will result in you looking foolish, looking impotent, looking dishonorable.

Think back, VOM. Has this ever happened in history before? Do you know the meaning of this kind of phenomenon?

Once a person is dead, and becomes so because of inappropriate and unjustified ABUSE by a person or army or nation or ruling class or ruler who was able, before this particular person’s death, to get away with such things as a matter of course, SHOULD THAT DEAD PERSON be put up on a pedestal by that dead person’s society, all post-mortem efforts to drag him OFF the pedestal not only fail, but they soak into the culture in a way that multiplies the greater-but-opposite forces which, once they take hold and begin to reverberate, will reach a certain “resonant frequency” that brings the abusers DOWN.

I’m not getting religious on you, VOM, but I do believe in history. Check out how successful the Romans (who ruled the KNOWN WORLD at the time) were at pulling some simple itinerant scholar whom THEY labeled “King of the Jews” off his pedestal after they killed him; COULDN’T BE DONE. Four hundred years later they had to admit that their dominance got overdominated by a dead man! Unable to whip him, they had to join him! That may be an odd way to regard what happened at the start of Christianity but after all, three days after they killed Jesus of Nazareth, his followers were not only putting him on a pedestal, but they were reminding Rome that he had come back to life in an unkillable form!

You cannot get Trayvon Martin (although there is only a circumstantial, and not a religious or philosophical comparison) down off his pedestal (which, by the way, was in YOUR imagination before it appeared to any of his defenders, who only adopted it after your unfortunate and stupid utterance) off his “pedestal.” You have to defend a man who killed a kid who cannot be re-killed. You have to try to defend that man and you’re flubbing it.

Your bunch of sick, sad, bigoted, ignorant punk-ass cheerleaders may always sit around their self-righteous tables drinking the beer or cutting the pie and jawing about that terrible thuggy Trayvon Martin who forced the good white (I’m not even gonna go for the cheap “Afro-Peruvian” joke any more, your boy’s white) neighborhood-protector to kill him, sure, and maybe that will comfort THEM (otherwise why would they do it over and over like an onanistic fantasy) in their delusions of adequacy, but that is all it will do. Anyone with a grain of intelligence and an ounce of humanity and an erg of strength already knows that your anti-Trayvon smear campaign is as old as Himmler’s rants against the Jews: BLAME THE VICTIM. That’s all you have, VOM.

    Meaning you have nothing.

Meaning Trayvon Martin is on the “pedestal” because your client murdered him and the society in general does not like that. Meaning YOU don’t get to do the placement on someone your client murders. Meaning once your client kills someone, OTHERS get to decide the value of the victim’s life (inappropriately taken) as opposed to the value of the killer’s life. OTHERS. You’re not able to change that. You’re not in control; your client is not in control and will never EVER be in control again. Now the image of Trayvon Martin belongs to ME much more than it belongs to you. I’d say probably a thousand times more.

Check out Rome today, VOM. The biggest guy in Rome wears a big hat and appears to be the leader of a sizeable portion of the world! RIGHT? He’s a FOLLOWER of a dead man. A dead man some allegedly powerful, blameless, fearsome, dominant, rulers killed — and got away with it.

The image of Trayvon Martin is not your property. Not even your intellectual property. Check it out.

(I didn’t say a single syllable while giving this entire rant from some invisible location at the front of the stage where the image of Trayvon Martin on a pedestal stood in a spotlight as the rising sun announced that I had to wake up.)

    Such is dreamtalk.

And as I woke up, I realized that I should probably write a lot of this down because dreams evaporate so quickly. For hours, I couldn’t get the energy to do so.

I was realizing that the tearing down of the victim, post-mortem (or even post-abuse, if he is not killed outright) is the specialty of the abuser and of the abuser culture. If you only show how necessary it was to abuse “those people” you get away with it more easily because others FEAR being torn down as they see your victim torn down, so they identify with the abuser — so long as the abuser stays abusive and does not admit his fault and apologize. Thus we tend to absolve abusers and blame victims and thus we become worse as a society until some certain critical mass is reached or until someone organizes a response.

Thanks to Sybrina Fulton, Tracy Martin, Ben Crump, Natalie Jackson, and many many others, someone organized a response to the murder of Trayvon Martin. And this is not ABOUT whether Trayvon Martin was pedestal-worthy a day before his death or NOT. It is about how a society responds to the abuse and the actual murder of someone who is then blamed for his own abuse and death. How is our society responding? That is the question. The question is NOT “Was Trayvon Martin personally worth the reaction that this society is having to his unjustified murder?”

If any one of us is not worth this social upheaval then our lives are not worth a damn and our freedom is illusory. Not one gram of energy spent on this outcry from our society and not one splinter or pebble of the pedestals we construct for our fallen is wasted: WE WILL NOT TOLERATE the reversal of unjustified murder to become some allegedly excusable acceptable act.

You’re not getting rid of that pedestal. Your attempt to do so is disgraceful. That pedestal is your client’s “cross to bear.” And your arrogance in assuming YOU are entitled to drag the victim of your client’s crime off the pedestal you say others have put him on is blameworthy; it is ignoble; it is shameful; it is disgusting.

    And I am now awake.

LLMPAPA, I’m a little late here, this will go on my FB and my Twitter, a beautiful tribute to Sabrina this is not easy for her, I pray justice will be for her for Tracy, Jahvaris and Trayvon including the Martin/Fulton family.

  4. lurker says:

I thought a lot about Sybrina sitting in the courtroom yesterday when I listened to the PJ who believed that Z. should be sent home and then went on to say that Trayvon had an absent father.

I know she must have been praying non-stop. She is a woman of great grace and composure.

If you should read this–stay strong Sybrina!

  5. Leisa says:

To think that someone would walk into a courtroom with the malicious intent to say hurtful, disrespectful, untrue bullshit about a young man and his suffering family is beyond my comprehension.

I truly believe what you put out there is what will come back to you.

It’s coming George. I just hope I get to see it.

    • ladystclaire says:

You and me both. to think that Fogen has brought out the worst of some in this country, with all of his lies and manipulation, not to mention the fact that he and his entire family are being very instrumental in the smear campaign of his child victim.

Some of you here have expressed concern for Fogen’s health with his massive weight gain, as for me I could care less about his health and, the danger of him developing coronary artery disease garners on sympathy from me because, he didn’t give a damn about the damage he afflicted on Trayvon’s heart and, he has no regrets to this day, about blowing this kid’s heart apart.

I’m not a hard hearted person, I’m just sick and tired of seeing the ignorance of racism in this country and, those who see fit to smear this deceased kid and his family. the things that some are saying about this kid is simply unbelievable and, these people need to be called out for what they really are.

Trayvon’s family has got more status (Gladys) grace and dignity than the family of Fogen can ever dream of ever having in this lifetime. as for this racist TRASH that helps to make up this country, they are just as classless as well as being morally bankrupt just like their ZERO and his family, as well as his supporters.

    • You all have thoughtful comments says:

Sabrina, I wrote this earlier this year in an effort to express the message I feel that Trayvon is sending to you:
      .

Now I float on the wings of eternity

Waiting for reunion with you,

While my heart is filled with your blessings.

Grateful for the love you have given me.

      Be blessed, Mom and Dad.

I want you to be comforted
.
I want you to rest in His love.

I want you to feel His gift of peace.

Now on the eternal wave of soulful light,

I send you my love, Mom and Dad.

      • Xena says:

@tonydphotog. It’s the same self-promoting BS he has on the website. Sounds like an auto-biography of how (cough, cough) great his wife and children are. Self-published and sold for less than $5.00, I would recommend it to anyone who needs to paper train their puppy.

        • Lonnie Starr says:

The trial hasn’t yet started and here’s RZ Sr., calling the trial a sham, saying that persons who commit acts, that are questionable as to their legitimacy, should not be subjected to judicial review processes. He suggest that his son be allowed to do whatever he wants to do, whenever he wants to do it, and nobody but nobody should be allowed to question it. Some legal mind eh?

Somebody get this guy a straight jacket before he harms himself!

      • Leisa says:

Or “how to raise an unfeeling killer”

    • Tzar says:

He needs to get this out now
because once the prosecution gets it’s case in chief out, there will no longer be an audience.

I read the preview, which was just disgusting.

Fogen took an African American girl to the prom?

An African American helped fogen get a hotel room?

Many of fogens closest and most trusted friends are African American.

Fogen was the only neighbor to introduce himself to the new African American neighbors.

  14. Two sides to a story says:

    Walk in beauty, Sybrina.

  15. ladystclaire says:

A beautiful tribute to a most beautiful woman. the family of Trayvon’s murderer can learn a lot from this woman and her entire family. instead of taking to the blog sites like the family of Fogen has done, this woman has shown the world what real grace and dignity really is.

Not only has Sybrina shown that us such grace and dignity, Tracy and Jahvaris has done the same also. for those who try to make something out of Trayvon being raised in a single parent home, they need to take a long and hard look at the single parent homes of those who are the same race as they are. this is definitely not something that is exclusive to AA and, they know damn well it isn’t.

These people tend to look for the worst in other races, when they can ill afford to even think of passing judgment on others, when the very same thing is present within their own race. I never knew anything about divorce, until I worked with kids from broken families who just so happened to be white.

Trayvon had two loving parents who were both involved in his life. and he is not the only kid to ever be suspended from school either. to let the racist bigots tell it, white kids of Trayvon’s age are angles and, if they honestly believe that, they are fooling themselves and, they are the dumbest people on the planet earth. there was a 18 year old, who was sentenced to LWOP a couple of months ago for killing three high school students at his school. not only that, the other school massacres committed by WHO? what in the hell was the excuse for these young white kids shooting up their fellow students and teachers?

THOSE WHO DON’T REMEMBER THE PAST, ARE CONDEMNED TO REPEAT IT! words to live by and, I’m only going there because, I’m sick and tired of these racist idiots throwing off on Trayvon and his family and, AA in general. Trayvon was not a troubled kid and, he never committed any crime and, for O’mara to do what he did to this kids character, in order to keep his murdering client from going to prison where his fat ass belongs, was wrong and he knows it. and for those who believe Fogen is gaining all of that weight in order to make him look harmless, he wasn’t that big when he ran after this kid and shot him in the heart killing him.

His flabby fat is not going to help him one bit because, there are photos of him all over the internet and, he wasn’t quite as obese as he is now.

    • kllypyn says:

The only person who was a troubled kid is zimmerman based on his behavior as an adult.

    • Lonnie Starr says:

In fact his appearance alteration is going to hurt him considerably, because the prosecution will see to it that the jury sees his pictures taken that night in the Sanford Police station. He was a solid and muscular 207 pounds, a “super heavy weight” fight class if there was one, unfortunately they stop at the “heavyweight” classification, for everything over 190 lbs.

Therefore, gz is telling us that, although he weighed five fight classes above Trayvon, and he was professionally trained at self defense and martial arts over a six month period of time, and he carried a concealed firearm that he also trained to use and how to retain it. He wants us to believe that an untrained youth, with no training or experience, could easily over power him and wage a lethal assault with only his bare hands and in less than 45 seconds, leaving him completely and utterly powerless to do anything more than to draw his weapon and fire.

“It is a tale told by an idiot”— with my pardons to Wm. The Bard.

  16. MichelleO says:

Hello! I am back on silly HuffPost as Mrs.Community. I see many of you are still there. Just ran into Joseph Norton. Waving to you all! Justice for Trayvon!

HP is off the chain, as they have allowed LJP aka papa Z is running amuck over there tonight and, any other he wants to. that site allows all manner of disrespect to this deceased child and, I will never apply for another account there ever.

They should be ashamed of themselves for allowing Fogen’s family to take over that site with their classless and racist BS. Gladys sure as heck don’t know what status is and, what she and her family have been displaying for the past sixteen months, is just how classless they are and, never mind her status.

        @SmokeeGyrl,

Thank you, S’Gyrl, for sharing your faith and talent with us. We have an deep inner need to see Trayvon during those too-few years of his life. Your montage shows us the joy he brought to his family and friends, and now you have brought this to us, in a very moving way.

Please continue to exercise your talents – among them, a clear and artistic sense for editing the flow of images to music. You have a great future ahead!

A special “thank you,” S’Gyrl, for being one of our poets laureate — for JUSTICE FOR TRAYVON!

Dear LLMPapa, You have done it again. There aren’t enough words to express how moving and beautiful this video is. It feels torn from your heart. The music and text together are so poignant, and yet you manage, as ever, to put forth a call for inner strength. I know that Sybrina will draw her strength from this. Thank you for creating this testament to the power of the heart and mind together. You are a wonder, and I am so grateful for your work.

  20. type1juve says:

LLMPapa, once again you have outdone yourself and your timing is excellent. Sybrina and Tracy, I cried for you today as I watched you listen to that hateful, ignorant woman speak of your son and your failings as parents. Please know that our prayers are with you and your family. We are with you in that courtroom and we will stand in solidarity until the end. Your child’s death will not be in vain and his murderer will be brought to justice!

    Absolutely beautiful……..
    Thank you for doing this.

The following post is in caps because i was pissed off. It’s the only way i know to express my anger to dirt bags….WILLIAM JACOBSEN HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU KNOW IF TRAYVON WAS A MIXED UP KID AND HIS FATHER WAS AROUND AGAIN YOU ARE MAKING ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT THINGS YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT AND FURTHER MORE THE EVIDENCE WHICH HAS BEEN FLOATING AROUND THE NET FOR OVER A YEAR SHOW TRAYVON NEVER TOUCHED HIM. AND WHERED I COME FROM ANYONE WHO KILLS AN UNARMED PERSON AFTER STARTING AN INCIDENT WITH THEM IS A PUNK. AND ZIMMERMAN DID START IT. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU THINK ZIMMERMAN WAS GONNA DO WHEN HE GOT OUT OF HIS TRUCK TO PURSUE INVITE TRAYVON HOME FOR DINNER. THE EVIDENCE ALSO SHOW HE WAS HOLDING ONTO TRAYVON”S SHIRTS PREVENTING HIS ESCAPE WHEN HE KILLED HIM. THE FACT ZIMMERMAN HAD NO DEFENSIVE WOUNDS PROVE NO ONE WAS BEATING HIM UP. THE FACT TRAYVON HAD NON OF HIS BLOOD ON HIS HANDS OR UNDER HIS FINGERNAILS PROVE TRAYVON NEVER TOUCHED HIM.THE FACT TRAYVON HAD NO BRUISING OR SWELLING ON HIS FINGERS OR KNUCKLES PROVE TRAYVON NEVER TOUCHED HIM. IN FACT TRAYVON MADE NO EFFORT TO HIT HIM AT ALL HE SIMPLY TRIED TO ESCAPE. ZIMMERMAN MESSED WITH THE WRONG KID GOT ANGRY WHEN THAT KID DIDN’T COOPERATE AND AFTER INTERROGATING HIM KILLED HIM. DON’T GIVE ANYMORE OF THAT BULLSHIT ABOUT ZIMMERMAN SCREAMING BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONE WITH THE GUN PEOPLE WITH GUNS DON’T SCREAM AND BEG FOR THEIR LIFE. EVEN ZIMMERMAN AND HIS LAWYER KNOW HE WAS NEVER THE ONE SCREAMING THAT’S WHY THEY WERE TRYING TO HAVE THE SCREAM TAPE EXCLUDED AND WHY THEY DON’T WANT THE EXPERTS TO TESTIFY. YOU APPARENTLY THINK IF A TEENAGER SCREWS UP OR TRIES WEED THEY DESERVE TO BE KILLED. SO WHEN SCHOOL STARTS IN THE FALL WE BETTER BOMB ALL THE HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE WORLD BECAUSE TEENS TEND TO SCREW UP. WHAT DUMB ASS STUFF DID YOU DO AS A TEEN? OH I FORGET WHITE KIDS ARE ALLOWED TO SCREW UP BUT IF A BLACK KID MESSES UP HE’S A BAD KID AND DESERVES TO DIE. TRAYVON WAS LITERALLY BEGGING FOR HIS LIFE WHEN HE WAS KILLED.ON WHAT FUCKING PLANET DO YOU THINK THAT IS OK? DON’T GIVE ME ANY MORE OF THAT BULLSHIT ABOUT ZIMMERMAN SCREAMING BECAUSE HE WASN’T AND HE KNOWS HE WASN’T. HE HAD ALREADY CALLED THE POLICE WHEN TRAYVON GOT SCARED AND RAN THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE END OF IT. HE WAS THE ONE GOT PURSUED. HE WAS THE WHO ILLEGALLY TRIED TO HOLD TRAYVON AGAINST HIS WILL AND HE WAS THE ONE WHO LOST HIS TEMPER AND KILLED HIM. HE HAS A LONG HISTORY OF LOSING HIS TEMPER AT THE SLIGHTEST PROVOCATION. TRAYVON WAS A NORMAL TEENAGER AND A GOOD KID WHO LIKE A LOT OF US AT THAT AGE SCREWED UP SOMETIMES. YOU ARE HARDLY JUSTIFIED IN SAYING HE GOT NO GUIDANCE BECAUSE HE OBVIOUSLY DID HE WAS NEVER ARRESTED FOR ANYTHING AND HE HAS NO CRIMINAL RECORD NOT EVEN A JUVENILE ONE. AND DON’T START WITH THAT BULLSHIT ABOUT A SUPPRESSED RECORD BECAUSE THERE ISN’T ANY. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO GRAB HIS GUN IN THE WAY HE DESCRIBED THAT WAS AN OBVIOUS LIE.HE ALREADY HAD HIS GUN OUT.HIS HEAD WAS NEVER REPEATEDLY SLAMMED INTO THE SIDEWALK. THAT WAS ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE. HE WAS NEVER REPEATEDLY PUNCHED IN THE FACE THAT WAS ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE. TRAYVON NEVER TRIED TO SMOTHER HIM ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE TRAYVON NEVER TRIED TO TAKE HIS GUN ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE TRAYVON NEVER SAID YOU GONNA DIE TONIGHT #$%%% THAT WAS ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE.(I BELIEVE HE SAID THAT TO TRAYVON JUST BEFORE HE KILLED HIM.) TRAYVON NEVER SAW THE GUN ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE HE WOULD HAVE NEVER SEEN TO GUN UNTIL IT WAS POINTED AT HIM BECAUSE IT WAS DARK BY HIS OWN STATEMENTS IT WAS AT HIS WAIST ON HIS RIGHT REAR HIP. HE WAS LAYING ON IT. HE SAID HE WAS ABLE TO UNHOLSTER HIS WEAPON AIM AND FIRE INTO TRAYVON’S CHEST ANOTHER OBVIOUS LIE HE WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT BECAUSE HE SUPPOSEDLY WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY FIGHTING TO DEFEND HIMSELF. HE HAD NO DEFENSIVE WOUNDS NO BRUISING OR SWELLING TO HIS KNUCKLES NO BRUISING TO HIS ARMS FROM TRYING TO BLOCK BLOWS AND FIGHT BACK NO INJURIES OR ABRASIONS TO HIS HANDS FROM TRYING TO PROTECT HIS HEAD FROM THE SIDEWALK WHICH IS PROOF NO ONE WAS BEATING HIM UP. TRAYVON WHO WAS A LIGHT WEIGHT COULDN’T BEAT HIM UP IF HE TRIED. TO BUY HIS STORY YOU WOULD HAVE TO BELIEVE HE WAS DISABLED AND COULDN’T FIGHT BACK OR HE JUST LAID THERE AND LET TRAYVON BEAT HIM. OBVIOUSLY THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN. ZIMMERMAN WAS NOT DISABLED AND HE WAS PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF DEFENDING HIMSELF AGAINST A KID WITH QUESTIONABLE FIGHTING SKILLS,ESPECIALLY A MAN WITH TRAINING AS A BOUNCER WHO TRAINED AT A GYM WHICH TAUGHT MMA AND OTHER FIGHTING SKILLS. TRAYVON HAD NO SPECIAL FIGHTING SKILLS AND IN A FAIR FIGHT ZIMMERMAN WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BEAT HIM TO A PULP. IN FACT IF HE DIDN’T HAVE THAT GUN THE POLICE PROBABLY WOULD FOUND A BADLY BEATEN TEENAGER AND AN ANGRY ADULT. HE HAS A HISTORY OF REACTING VIOLENTLY WHEN THINGS DON’T GO HIS WAY. EVEN A MINOR INCIDENT WHICH WITH NORMAL PEOPLE WOULDN’T BE A BIG DEAL BUT WITH HIM HE GOES OFF. I BELIEVE HIS ANGER FLARED WHEN TRAYVON POLITELY ASKED HIM”WHAT ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME FOR?” HE HAD A RIGHT TO ASK THAT QUESTION BECAUSE HE DIDN’T KNOW WHO ZIMMERMAN WAS OR WHAT HE WANTED. HE ASKED WHAT ARE YOU DOING AROUND HERE? HE DIDN’T GIVE TRAYVON A CHANCE TO ANSWER. WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT. AS THE ADULT THE BURDEN WAS ON HIM TO STATE WHO HE WAS AND HIS INTENTIONS SINCE HE CHOOSE TO CONFRONT TRAYVON. HE NEVER INDENTIFIED HIMSELF. HE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE POLICE BEING CALLED.TRAYVON WENT TO HIS DEATH SCREAMING AND NEVER KNEW WHO ZIMMERMAN WAS OR WHAT HE WANTED. BLOCK WATCH PEOPLE AR NOT ALLOWED TO PURSUE OR DETAIN,THEY HAVE NO ARREST POWERS. HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN HIS CAR AND WAITED FOR THE POLICE WHICH HE REFUSED TO DO.SINCE HE LEFT HIS VEHICLE HE SHOULD HAVE MET THE POLICE AT THE MAIL BOXES OR HIS TRUCK. IN STEAD HE WENT LOOKING FOR TRAYVON AND HE KNEW THE GENERAL DIRECTION HE WAS GOING. SINCE HE CHOSE TO CONFRONT A MINOR WHEN HE PANICKED AND STARTED SCREAMING HE SHOULD HAVE LET HIM GO AND TOLD THE POLICE WHERE HE WENT. THERE WAS NO REASON TO CALL THE POLICE IN THE FIRST PLACE TRAYVON WAS NOT COMMITTING A CRIME. HE HAS A HISTORY OF GOING AFTER PEOPLE WEAKER THAN HIMSELF. HE WAS THE AGGRESSOR AND HE KNOWS IT THAT’S WHY HE TOLD ALL THOSE RIDICULOUS AND FARFETCHED LIES WHICH YOU APPARENTLY ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE.TRAYVON WASN’T PERFECT HE LIKE THE REST US AS TEENS SCREWED UP EVEN ADULTS SCREW UP. HE WAS A GOOD KID WITH A KIND HEART WHO DIDN’T DESERVE TO BE MURDERED WHILE HE BEGGED FOR HIS LIFE. YOU DON’T HAVE PEOPLE COMING FORWARD WITH ANY NEGATIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HIM EVEN HIS PRINCIPAL SAID HE WAS A SWEET KID DESPITE HIS MISTAKES. MEAN WHILE WHAT HAVE PEOPLE SAID ABOUT ZIMMERMAN. THREW A WOMEN ACROSS A ROOM. ATTACKED A POLICE OFFICER. BEAT UP AN EX GIRLFRIEND. HARASSED HIS NEIGHBORS INCLUDING CHASING AN 8 YEAR OLD BOY HOME,WHICH SHOULD HAVE RAISED A RED FLAG WITH MOST NORMAL PEOPLE. HARASSED A COWORKER TO THE POINT OF LOSING HIS JOB. WHAT DID TRAYVON DO? HE SMOKED WEED A FEW TIMES GOT INTO A COUPLE OF MINOR ALTERCATIONS WITH ANOTHER TEENAGER WHICH HE APPARENTLY WAS ON THE LOSING END OF. CUT CLASSES A FEW TIMES. PULLED A PRANK BY WRITING WTF ON SOMEONES LOCKER. GOT CAUGHT WITH AN EMPTY BAGGIE THAT MIGHT HAVE ONCE HAD WEED IN IT. TRAYVON LIKED TO MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH.HE WAS A PRANKSTER AND WASN’T PRONE TO VIOLENCE CONTRARY TO WHAT CERTAIN PEOPLE SAY. ZIMMERMAN WAS THE AGGRESSOR AND HE KNOWS IT AND SO DOES HIS LAWYERS. IF HE HAD SIMPLY BEHAVED NORMALLY HE WOULD HAVE WAITED FOR THE POLICE AND TRAYVON WOULDN’T HAVE ENDED UP WITH A HOLLOW POINT BULLET IN HIS CHEST. YOU WOULD RATHER BUY THE LIES OF A MURDERER. YOU DISGUST ME. I SURE HOPE YOU HAVE NO KIDS BECAUSE YOU WILL TELL THEM IF SOME CREEPY GUY FOLLOWS YOU YOU RUN AND HE IF FINDS YOU YOU DO WHAT EVER HE WANTS OR HE HAS THE RIGHT TO KILL YOU. GTFOOH!!!!

LLMPapa, that was beautiful. My prayers are with Sybrina and Tracy and the rest of Trayvon’s extended family during this difficult time.

  24. PiranhaMom says:

    To LLMPapa,

The video did not on appear on my screen when I first accessed this chapter. It is beautiful. Thank you for waiting until this moment to being it to Sybrina and all of us.

You comprehension, Papa, is beyond my comprehension. I just have faith that you will always say what’s right, and good, and true – and that you will always do it at the right time.

    Like … tonight.

    Thank, you Papa.

Beautiful video. This poem is special to me I memorized it for a school performance.

You will see your son again. My father taught me that in the afterlife there is no more pain, sickness, or crying. When loved ones pass we miss them but they leave us with precious memories.

Stay strong Sybrina. There shall be Peace In The Valley, someday…

    Love,
    Shari

  26. Xena says:

I cried when watching it. LLMPapa’s compassion and love comes through loud and clear, reaches into the heart and mind, and reproduces according to its own kind.

  27. Beautiful, LLMPapa! It made me cry.

  28. cielo62 says:

    … I hate crying…

  29. PiranhaMom says:

    Dear Sybrina,

We think of your bright, cheerful loving son every day.

We are determined that justice be done, and that this act of justice by the jury will spread the message across our land, so that no young man may be menaced in future. That the country does not lose its “best and brightest.”

We love you as Trayvon’s mother – a mother whose son called her “Cupcake.” What great affection shared between you two!

You have become the ultimate Woman of Courage in our lives and you inspire us all. We are thousands, bonded together in love for you and your family.

We now see that your relationship with both your sons, raising them so beautifully, is part of the steel that gives you the resilience and grace to go forward, even under the pressures you face today during the often wretched preliminaries to the trial.

Yes, you have had to listen to stupidity (and more will come).

Yes, you have had to listen to evil (and more will come).

But the memory of your son shines so brightly that it obliterates filth and meanness and mendacity. You, yourself, with your son Jahvaris and with their Dad Tracy, and with those on your legal team, are bringing so much courage, so much grace, such great intelligence, such strength to these proceedings that the whole world sees that truth. Justice will overcome, will overwhelm, stupidity and evil.

We thank you for fighting so hard to bring this trial forward. Literally, it could not be happening without your strength and courage and determination.

I have often wondered if there could be ANY words of comfort we could give you. I have found them:

WE KNOW THE TRUTH – THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH – ABOUT YOUR WONDERFUL SON.

Sybrina, Tracy, Jahvaris, we send you our love, and our prayers.

    God be with ye.

PiranhaMom, Thank you for expressing my feelings so eloquently.

I have been haunted by Trayvon’s death since I first heard about it. I have two sons, one older than Trayvon, one younger. My heart breaks for Sybrina and Tracy, who have faced the worst imaginable experience a parent can face, brought about by evil and compounded by evil, with grace and strength. And my heart breaks for Jahvaris, “the bunnies”, DeeDee, and everyone else who loved Trayvon.

LLMPapa, I hope that Sybrina has seen your video and been comforted by it. You are the essence of what is good about humanity.

    • BLISS says:

      Amen and Amen.

  30. Rob says:

Papa lovely video, brought tears to my eyes! I hurt for this strong AA women, and it pisses me off with what she has to go through just to get justice for her son. My son, your son, stay strong SYBRINA, LOVE YOU!!

  31. disappointed says:

LLMPapa- Thank you! I personally do not know how she stays seated when morons spew their superior attitudes. I do not believe for a New York minute that Trayvon had absent parents. I hope this is the Mother’s Day or Father’s Day that these two wonderful parents have to feel the heart break of not having Justice for their son.

    • Malisha says:

Want to shout out Fathers’ Day greetings and signals of great respect for Tracy this coming weekend. He has done and continues to do all that a good father should do and he’s been a sign of strength to many young African American men who are not his own progeny. Kudos and condolences both!

  32. TheMindIsATerribleThingToWaste says:

You did it again Papa. How apropos.

  33. Rachael says:

So beautiful. Thank you LLMPapa. Bless you Sybrina.
