I love humor, especially dark humor, because it helps to keep me sane in troubled times and we are in troubled times. George Zimmerman’s incomprehensible and indefensible murder of Trayvon Martin is but one of many examples of the insanity in which we find ourselves. We cannot pretend that it isn’t there because pretending will not banish it from our lives. Fear, hatred and blaming the other only adds to our problems.
Like it or not, we are being inexorably forced by the growing disorder in our lives to acknowledge that we, collectively speaking, are the problem and the solution. We have a lot of bad ideas that manifest daily in senseless acts of violence on an individual and global scale.
We have run out of room to hide from each other here in the fabled and symbolic Garden of Eden that we call Earth.
Each of us is a part of the problems and the problems we face are bigger than any one person can solve. Yet, there are solutions apparent to anyone with eyes to see.
We are going to have to work together on a global scale to create peace and harmony, but the path begins at home, which is our very own self.
Until you see yourself in the other, you cannot see yourself.
Pain is pain, but humor softens it and Malisha is quite accomplished at seeing humor in tragedy. Here, she recreates George Zimmerman’s pathetic tale of searching for an address to conceal that the real address he is searching for has materialized into a person whom he is hunting.

It wouldn’t matter that the first call was NEN; there were many 911 calls between that initial NEN and the arrival of the police on the scene; they have radios. Smith knew it was a 911 by the time he pulled into the neighborhood; nobody could presume otherwise.
IIRC, he stated in a report that he received updates as he was headed there, and he knew about reports of a shooting before he arrived at the “T”.
SIRENS should have been at full blast. He should have high-tailed it into that neighborhood with the lights, the sirens, and a screeching halt when he rushed out of the squad car with his gun drawn yelling, “POLICE: FREEZE!”
It’s all part of the Zidiot Nation Charter.
I never heard sirens on the 911 calls even though the police arrived while the later calls were still connected.
Would the police run sirens on an investigation of suspicious person in response to NEN call. What call was T. Smith responding to, 911 or NEN?
Does anybody know whether the squad cars coming into RTL that night had their sirens blaring? To me this is an important question, especially for Tim Smith.

Just a few factual points about Ofc. Tim Smith’s involvement.
1. TM was shot at 7:16:56. Smith arrived at the ‘T’ at around 7:19:30. There is a lot of misinformation about Smith arriving “at the scene” earlier, having to do with his arrival time at RATL in general, rather than finally making his way to the actual site of the shooting.
2. In his reports, Smith claims he did not discuss the events of evening with GZ at all. He may be lying, of course, but he recounts the “I was shouting for help” comment Z supposedly made to the paramedic in the context of being the only info he heard from GZ about the incident. (Though, of course, he latter had to append his report to note he witnessed GZ’s entire interview with Singleton.) So, according to Smith anyway, his ride to SPD with GZ was silent.
(The fact that Smith knew GZ, at least from the previous incidents where he responded to Z’s calls if not also other NW type cop-citizen sessions, does make this seem a bit counter-intuitive, IMHO.)
3. T. Smith was not in charge of the crime scene, not responsible for securing GZ’s truck, and was not the officer who reported the plate numbers. He was long gone from the crime scene by then, having escorted GZ back to the SPD.

We (bcclist) figured out Smith’s arrival time at the ‘T’ from the physical evidence: We know when the 911 calls start, and we know the point in the 911 calls where the witnesses note Smith’s arrival at the ‘T’. It’s 7:19:30 give or take a couple seconds.

But that is exactly what they think, IMO. Their sole technique with people who do not think as they do, accept their “superior” position and then fall in line with their “dominant” positions, is to bully, insult, mock, threaten, demean, derogate and make up lies. They don’t have any alternate technique to fall back on. They have never tried logical arguments, joint analysis, considering the other guy’s position, or compromise. So they present like Cheorge. Think of the Hannity interview. It was Cheorge’s perfect time to say, “Oh of course. Not only do I regret getting out of my car that night, because I wouldn’t have exposed myself to danger and then this would not have happened, but I regret I ever left home that night. I wish I had just put off my grocery trip until the next night and then none of this would have happened. I wish I could turn back the clock.” Instead he said it was God’s plan to put him into contact with Trayvon Martin that night so Martin could be killed and Cheorge could be facing murder charges. HE HAS NO OTHER SETTING to his BRAIN! There’s only, “Whatever I did it was absolutely right so everybody else was absolutely wrong.” He was condescending to Serino and Singleton; he thought he could get everyone to go along with him by forcing his story on them. Let him try that at trial.
You ever noticed all the sighs George was giving? They have a condescending tone to them and I feel he does them whenever he is preparing a big lie, combined with his weird eye widening and eyebrow expressions. I find that he also tries to play dumb, although he is pretty damn dumb.
Having actually looked at the evidence, I found most insulting is Omara’s constant repetition of Cheorge hearsay and lies of the nose and sidewalk head bounces and smashes. Lord have mercy, I aint saying there was nothing there, but there was practically nothing there. I looked at the back of his head so many times, and its 2 scratches that were healing the same night. It is not from a head smash onto a sidewalk, not even one.
The next one is the following to skipping to running. That is fine if Cheorge doesnt want to use the term following, but he was damn sure pursuing and stalking as well as chasing the kid, while the kid ran away from him. I dont see how he is selling the jury when Cheorge says that the kid was running away from him 3 times in his phone call. Cheorge would just do better to just say he was following the kid, and in actuality ran after the kid too. A judge and jury will see he is acting fishy with all his contradicting and inconsistent statements, especially, when it is not just one, it is like cocaine in columbia amount.
I say the same to too and agree. If the Zimmernuts want to argue and debate their points so bad, then do it properly at a trial and courtroom with that nonsense. My personal opinion is reasonable doubt can work both ways, even though the load is on the prosecution’s shoulders because if there is reasonable doubt in a defendants claims, he has lost credibility and will lose.

Years ago, an extremely religious person was trying to convince me to believe the literal description, in the Bible, of the origin of the world, some 6,000 years ago, by so-called Intelligent Design. His method was to describe the alternate theories (“Big Bang” cosmology, evolution, etc.) in demeaning, disdainful terms, while laughing at the suggestions made by the scientists. He said, for instance, “I mean, think of it, first there’s nothing, then there’s a ‘big bang’! Wow, how convenient and how cute. Let’s just get all the school kids together and tell them, ‘there was a bang’ — they’ll go for that!” He opened his eyes very wide and made gestures with his hands that looked deliberately foolish and stupid, to emphasize how foolish and stupid the “Big Bang” was. Then he went on to mock the idea that humans could evolve from monkeys. Imitating a monkey, he leaped around on the furniture, saying intermittently, “EH EH EH let’s get really clever and shorten our arms and then we can be real people EH EH EH here’s a banana!” and etc.
Those ridiculous antics remind me of the rants they go on over at those pro-Cheorge websites. All they have in their arsenal is:
1. Cheorge said he was attacked and had to kill so we believe it;
2. Trayvon Martin was a thug and so are Crump, Jackson, Sharpton, and everyone who agrees with them, and DeeDee is a little criminal in training;

I was dreaming of a jury trial. It stays serious through the prosecution’s case, presenting the evidence they have, and all the witnesses getting up and talking about the forensics. Serious. Serious. A few little lighter parts here and there such as when BDLR says “Officer Schmidt” by mistake instead of “Smith” and when O’Mara refers to an Osterman Blender. Other than that it moves forward. Then Defense presents. They call Cheorge to the stand. He starts to tell his sad tale, waving his glossy crew-cut head around a millimeter this way, a millimeter that way, and talking about the vicious unwarranted attack upon him that dark night. He sticks out his little tongue just before he pronounces words that start with “M” and his eyes are piercingly dull. Then he says “and he punched me in the nose and I saw stars,” and the jury has that look the kids get in third grade when the teacher farted and they could hear it and they’re trying not to laugh. And he says, “I fell down on my butt and somehow he mounted me,” and the look intensifies and three of the six jurors drop their heads and their hands find their way up to their faces, but not in a kind of obvious motion, just like somebody at a lecture where they just remembered where their keys were and want to check. And he says, “and every time he hit my head on the concrete I felt like my head was gonna explode,” and a sound like a whimpering “irm, irm, irmmmmphhh” comes from the woman with the shoulder-length grey hair on the far right of the jury and she tries to make it sound like a cough…and that feeling happens when you just know the rest of them are not gonna be able to hold it in any longer…and the judge is studiously ignoring it, her lips a thin tight line and her attention totally on Cheorge, who says: “and I kinda shimmied…” and they’re gone.
The jurors are gone. The lady with the shoulder-length grey hair is in full-out giggle and cannot be stopped and the guy next to her is pounding the armrest of his chair and someone in the spectators seats yells, “shimmy!” and everyone’s hysterical with laughter. One of the jurors has that kind of laugh they pay for on TV to be the “canned laughter” and by now the lady who started it all is going snort, snort, snort, because she has that kind of honking laugh that cracks me up and they’re just gooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnne…..
Wow, great dream. I’ll have to see if it can get pasted into a movie.
Oh yeah — that could be the sound effects for the final scene of “The Innocence of Cheorge Zzzzimmerman.” I can just record my own laugh six times and accumulate the tape…there’s got to be a way. “SHIMMY!”
Imagine the thoughts going through minds when hearing the word “mounted.” The judge should call recess right then and there.
Xena, the cyberstalking and bullying you’re describing is a sign of a personality disorder very much like Cheorge’s. People who display this kind of disorder cannot tolerate that someone expresses a different idea or opposes their “authority.” They actually try to find ways to hurt people who are saying something they don’t like. They become the Nazis of the world, the “Sharia law enforcers” of the world, the wackos who run around in businesses and communities trying to force everybody else into line, the tyrants, the deranged snipers, and the holed up paranoids armed to the teeth and talking about their rights and everybody else’s wrongs. In times of social stress they proliferate. Some of them have immense charisma and they especially appeal to folks who feel disinherited, disrespected and marginalized. You want to look out for them but not give them too much attention. Most of them are ultimately harmless unless you run into them alone on a dark night in a drizzly alley and they’re carrying. So naturally they identify with folks like Cheorge, as well they should. They would also like a freebie card to kill somebody they don’t like.
Malisha,it’s so sick that it’s sad. Hurting people hurt others. I cannot fathom the type of hurt that people like that have suffered. Their behavior is learned, so they were no doubt parented by a hurting parent who was hurt by their parents, etc. It’s normal life for them.

You know Jun, this comes down to a matter of confidence. Why do participants on the treeslum find it necessary to compete with Leatherman’s blog? Hmmm. Some of my observations;
1. When we have a question about law or legal procedure, we have someone with education and experience to answer it.
2. When we have an opinion about law or legal procedure that is incorrect, and without asking, Leatherman explains it to us correctly.
3. Participants here have shown, by a majority, of being good researchers.
4. Discovery material is discussed extensively.
5. Theories discussed are mostly based on George Zimmerman’s statements. Participants refer to discovery material, transcripts, videos, etc.to support their position.
6. There are participants here who have invested hours into getting and staying informed about the George Zimmerman case.
7. Other than an occasional typo or spelling error, participants here write in comprehensive sentences and post more than drive-by one-liners that are commonly posted on pro-Zimmerman blogs.
8. Here, blog participant numbers are growing and I do not suspect that any are using multiple handles to give the appearance that the blog has more than 3 or 4 regular and active participants.
9. None of the participants here have to concern themselves with being placed on an FBI list as potential White Supremacists.
OTOH, pro-Zimmerman sites generally have one-line, drive-by comments. None of the participants seem familiar with anything about the case other than “George Zimmerman said.” Of the times I’ve read comments, for example on the CTH, none of the participants address their experience neither education. To the contrary, they mock the experience and education of those on this blog.
Yes, they are apprehensive, so apprehensive that they have started a petition hoping that GZ does not have to answer for his alleged crime, because they know there are no merits to his self-defense claim. How did they come upon that revelation? By reading here.

It means that Frederick Leatherman is intuitive by nature. He can focus in and read your mind, know your next step and your next words. He can predict your future if he wanted to.

Why else? Because it IS a high-profile case. I wouldn’t go into a deposition without one.
To me, Serino is one of the most fascinating parts of this case. I can actually hear in his voice the skepticism about Cheorge’s silly story. I can recognize the voice of experience. He knew the stories Cheorge was telling were bullshit. He chuckled when Cheorge said he wasn’t following Trayvon, just going in the same direction. “That’s following,” he said. He called the scratches on Cheorge’s noggin “capillary type lacerations” and said they were not consistent with a life-threatening beating. Although he kept assuring Cheorge that he was the “good guy” and that Serino was “speaking for” him, he was constructing a careful case against him. Singleton, too. And he instructed Singleton to start the interrogation before he got there. That’s significant to me; Serino trusted her.
I think it’s good he has counsel and I expect we will hear a lot of back-and-forth about him. But somehow I believe Serino was doing a very careful, intelligent and targeted interrogation in order to create a record that would, when analyzed, reveal the truth.

IMO, that’s going to be tough for Serino to explain because it suggests that he made things up in the Capias. Serino’s prepared Capias appears that he took the position of believing GZ’s statements such as Trayvon making physical contact with him twice.
Secondly, officers have no supervisory authority over Serino’s duties as an investigator. Thirdly, since Wolfinger was not going to proceed, the Capias would be nothing more than a blank piece of paper to those officers who allegedly pressured Serino.
I dont think it will hurt Serino. I read the comment, and I believe at the time, Serino believed that there was not enough yet. It is not like Serino buys George at all, but proving it in court is a whole different ball game. Serino publicly stated that he wanted to file manslaughter charges and the officers that were pressuring him probably simply believed George was guilty and they had enough. Although Serino is not perfect, he did get some damning statements from Cheorge and played good and bad cop pretty good. There was reasonable suspicion and probable cause for their beliefs that it was a murder.

Know what’s funny? When it comes time for jury selection, the State can use the names and handles of those who reside in Florida to question whether they signed the petition.
As of 7:12 p.m. CST, it’s up to 47. Let them get about 2,000 or so signatures, then the State can file another motion for a gag order using the petition and its signatures to support O’Mara’s tainting of the jury pool.
If 2.2M signing a petition for arrest and 47 signing one for release are indicators, the jury pool’s only running 46,808 to 1 against George.

So she told immediately and the police arrested him and blah blah blah. So he was sentenced to 6 months, suspended, and he had to (a) pay for her therapy and (b) go to therapy himself. So he went for three sessions and then the THERAPIST made a motion for him to be freed from the rest of his sentence because he had “cried” in therapy so he was cured. That motion succeeded and the guy had no more sentence to serve. He then made a motion to not have to pay for any more of the step-daughter’s therapy because he said HE had gotten over it in three sessions; she aready had more than 30, why did SHE need any more? So he got liberated from having to pay for hers too. Shortly after that he filed in court for custody and/or unsupervised visitation of his victim’s little sister; the judge granted him unsupervised visitation. The little girl came home from her third visit with scars and bruises all over and “redness and swelling in her genital area.” The judge wouldn’t listen to the mother’s protests, saying the guy had been cured because he cried. The mom offered, “How about if I kill him and then I cry, will that be OK?”
My friend and I reported this at one of the children’s rights conferences of the Public Health Service. One of the PHS officials there called it the “cry cry rape rape defense.”

There are judges around who will do the most insane ridiculous things, but they generally get away with it all because nobody devotes their entire life and every dollar they ever make to showing that it was wrongful and that the judge was corrupt. That’s our system. To out-litigate it, you have to have an organization behind you and not everyone does. That’s why so many get away with so much. Look at the effort it took to defeat corruption in the SPD and even begin to get an honest appraisal of a murder!

Then, she used the name of my blog in search for personal information about me, too stupid to realize that the name of the blog is not my name. So, she sent several comments mocking the death of my husband (that she had lurked on theJBMission and read about) along with more threats. One threat was that she has 30 friends who were going to hunt me down and after making me suffer, cut my throat to make sure I shut up. Tami, aka arkansasmimi, alleged that I was nothing more than a clerk at a courthouse, that she knows some clerks in Illinois and would see what she could find out about me.
Yeah. Good luck. If that were true, she has 22 circuit courts to call. LOL!
I turned their comments over to the U.S. Attorney’s office because Jessica resides in Washington State. Illinois has statutes against cyberstalking, cyberharassment, and cyberbullying.

I have a question about Shellie and her schooling. George says on hannity that he asked Shellie to stay in Florida to continue her nursing education, she was about a week away from finishing when he drove to Jacksonville and turned himself in. Is that true? I thought I read somewhere that she wasn’t going to school, and how did she continue to go while he was in hiding…wasn’t she in hiding as well as ALL of his family members from the very begining according to them?

I don’t buy that. If you look the remains of the trails in the police photos are “cleaned” but still very visible. The fake picture is the issue. The “trails’ on the right side are not even close to a match.

I went back to the credit union statement where I remembered seeing a payment to a school. It’s Herzing University Online. On April 17th, ShelLIE made a payment to them of $50.00. Their “nursing” program is RN to BSN. So, if ShelLIE is not already a RN, she was not going to become one through Herzing. Their healthcare degree programs mainly consist of medical assisting SERVICES, office administration, insurance billing codes, etc.

I don’t think that Osterman realized what he was saying when using the word “token.” It actually applies to the presence of someone to give a certain appearance to onlookers while not being actually included on the same scale as others.
Tim Smith actually saved himself from issues because he wrote “appeared to be” in a lot of his descriptions, so he can easily pin it off to being “what it appeared to be at the time” than as to what it actually was.
The set-up is interesting. The ultimate boss of the whole investigation, even Serino’s boss, which helps Zimmerman out of an insecurity at Taaffe’s house during the reenactment and the first officer on scene, who probably met Zimmerman before. They did something to Taaffe’s door on Feb. 2, 2012, I am assuming GZ was still nearby and waited for the officers after he called back. He was on scene too concerning the kids, but there I assume he did not show up so his involvement wouldn’t become apparent. Did they also meet during his 14 weeks in the Sanford police volunteer program?

What I am wondering about, and it seems I lost all my notes on the case, due to IT troubles I am not able to completely understand, if I mistook Randy for a female initially, and his chain of evidence reports and lists were in fact highlights for me in the first discovery. I also feel Officer Smith had a bigger role in this mess. Why would he call in Zimmerman’s plate at the scene of the crime and not address that information in his report? And why the hell didn’t he search and or impound Zimmerman’s truck the night of the murder. This pisses me off!

Professor, basically my life has taught me to not underestimate anybody, especially not people like George. He could be a master manipulator, for all I know. He had to know the NEN was being taped. Anyone who watches the news, etc. would eventually hear a taped call in the media. Sean also says so at the beginning of the call.
Yes, he says so but very quickly and not very clearly. That’s easy to miss. One little thing I noticed was that during one of his interrogations the officer (Serino?) assumed that he had called a different NEN number and GZ gave the correct one. It wouldn’t surprise me much if GZ called the less obvious number on purpose because he thought he had access to a super-secret Neighborhood Watch VIP line.
Id pay a million dollars to have seen George’s face wile his NEN call was being played to him .

Mike, show me one passage of GZ’s NEN call that Team George represented by O’Mara/West & Internet checking interns–if we leave the address out for a while, ditto the house number he is facing next to the cut-through, something by the way he tries to explain away, if I am not completely mistaken, somewhere else by the fact that a pick up truck was parked in front of it, I forget where exactly, ditto the time that does not fit–that could not somehow be fitted neatly into his later statements? They also still have a lot of time to study everything closely and adjust the narrative convincingly.

If I were a law student in Florida, or for that matter a student in associate criminal law, I would volunteer to do whatever job defense needs aids for.
Something MOM repeats over and over regarding GZs changing story has resonated with me RE: Sr.s, Georges, Taaffe’s and Ostermans (et al) stories; “if you heard the same story over and over, thats when you have to worry about lies”.
I am amazed that people who were not there, AMMO, Sr, Taaffe, were able to relay their stories to media, to the FBI, and to FDLE so succinctly and perfectly as if it were George himself. Shoot, AMMO gives MORE detail than George ( Example: TMs position on George, the location of his knees, feeling the gun on his leg etc.) I attribute that to parts of AMMOs story GZ forgot to tell, that he thought sounded better.)
Sr. also goes into great detail. Which way George turned. Exactly which steps he took. Deliberately (imo) trying to make it clear GZ didnt veer from the path, ie follow.
I think the fact that they were so perfectly relayed in such detail by different people suggests they were coordinated. These arent things George would relay in such detail unless the intent was to repeat them and highlight the same points of reference. So I think its pretty obvious this is a scripted story.
And that’s why they will be torn to shreds on the stand.

Let me say this point blank. My son’s godfather is a retired IRS Criminal Investigator and now trains Homeland Security Agents. He’s never heard of Osterman and he trains all of them. The consensus is he pulled that job out of his arsz because it’s an incognito job. There is no record they can find AND he’d have been fired on the spot for stating what he does.

racerrodig, I have nothing against the general idea of neighborhood watch. I do in fact pay attention on what is happening in my own neighborhood. We had quite a few burglaries too. Neither I do not have anything against homeland security. But I am not a fan of people that that call police for kids playing in the street, although they apparently move out of the way every time a car approaches as the officer alerted to the scene by Zimmerman reports back. Notice at this event what a coward GZ is, he doesn’t want people to know it was him calling police. … That’s the type of person, I don’t have much respect for.

The city of Sanford discussed the “formalization” of their relationship with the Neighborhood Watch program. Which means their relationship was never formalized, and your friend, I assume thus can’t find the RTL NW.

To my knowledge, this NW was never a formality, just GZ. He did allegedly have the “training” but I doubt it. I was on a NW from 80 to 88 where we used to live. The Zidiots, especially GZ are under the impression this is a patrol. Nothing is farther from the truth. You watch, there is no set schedule and no game plan. If you do “patrol” you never, ever follow anyone. Never. Most on the NW were retired people with clean windows.

My granddog is an excellent watch dog. She barks at the slightest, unfamiliar noise and when strange people walk anywhere within the distance of two houses on either side. Early one morning, I saw a neighbor’s daughter leaving for the school bus. Later, I saw several squad cars pull up to that neighbor’s house. Then the homeowner arrived. The cops walked out back and spent significant time there.
That neighbor drove off shortly after the cops did. The neighbor between us told me later that the security system went off, and that house had been robbed. Well, I know what I saw and what I didn’t see. No cops came to my house to ask me anything.
That neighbor claims that her house was broken into at least twice — and she is the one who has more company than anyone else on the block — so go figure, uh?
Imagine that. The only things ever missing from here we know were by our friends kids. We proved and and they are now ex-friends.

The address that was asked for was GZ address so the police could talk to him and take the report. He was not asked to look for an address or get an address. He could have just said that he was not at his home and there was no address then asked them to call. No one told him to get an address. Like you said, there was point in an address for Trayvon. An address for a reference point where GZ was might have been nice, but it was not asked for and certainly would not have been necessary if GZ had stayed with his vehicle so the police could talk to him when they got there. But it is obvious he had no intention of doing that because he pursued.

That is exactly why this getting an address deal is whole lot of garbage. No address he could have provided to the dispatcher after leaving his vehicle would have been useful. If he lost TM, what address could he possibly provide that would be even remotely relevant?
